Chapter Text

He could hear the sounds of yelling and blasters going off from outside the alleyway he was collapsed in. The grit and rock was cold and sharp against his bones.

‘I have to talk to them…. One last time…. Before I- oh. This is real. I’m going to dust.’ He thought to himself, as he struggled to bring his arm closer to his mouth. He stared at the gray Echo Flower on it that had been adjusted to be used as a communicator. ‘One….last…time…’ He pressed the flower to his lips as he whispered into it.

“I’m sorry…..” His voice was ragged, a struggle to make out for any listening. And someone was. At the end of the alleyway there was another skeleton hidden. This skeleton, like many you would find in the multiverse, wore a hoodie and shorts. But this one wore a scarf. There were few who did, and everyone knew when they saw those survivors what they had lost.

The skeleton stared at the fallen guard, watching as he whispered into the flower as the blue of his eyelights faded into the usual white. They noticed how the armor that had been fitted to the fallen skeleton seemed to be loose fitting, how the bone under his sockets seemed dark with exhaustion.

“How.” They spoke one word, catching the fallen warrior’s attention. He looked up at the skeleton.

“Wha-”

“How did you keep up with us.” They cut him off. “It’s clear you’re malnourished, dehydrated and exhausted. So how.”

The other skeleton simply smiled. Why was he smiling? Shouldn’t he be scared? Why- No. Stop. Focus. “I-I was DETERMINED. I had to protect them. All of them.”

“Oh? What do you mean by that, little Blue?” The other skeleton asked, walking over and leaning against the wall in front of the small skeleton laying on the ground, dust flaking off his bones, which was nothing new.

“My brothers. My- My family. They aren’t safe, and I s-see them rarely.” His vision was fading. No! He had to tell them he loved them.

“Why? Don’t those other Star Shits help protect him?” The other skeleton squat down in front of
Blue.

“No. Th-they don’t. And mind your language, Dust.”

“Hmmmm.” Dust stood, looking over to the opening of the alleyway, where they could still hear the fight. “Welp. I have to go. See you in our next fight, Little Blue.” With that, Dust used a shortcut to leave, heading straight back into the fray of battle.

‘I have to get up! Ink and Dream need me! My kids need me! I-I can’t- I c-can’t let- myself- fall…..’ Everything went black.

He jumped to the side right as a slash of paint with a rich blood red color came down right where he had been standing, some droplets that had been flying from it landing on his sweater and melting the fluffy yarn. He glitched as he shook his arm to get it off, though it did nothing.

“Stop destroying this AU!” His opponent yelled at him, eyelights changing shape and color as his emotions shifted. Error rolled his own eyelights, pulling strings out from below his eyesockets and whipping them at The Creator.

Ink jumped up and out of the way, unaware he had opened up his partner and one of his lovers to the attack. Dream yelped in surprise as he was wrapped in the cobalt blue strings.

“G-g1v-v3 u-u-uup Squ-squ1d! Th-th-th1$ AU 1$-!$ L0sT!” Error shouted back, his glitches worse than usual. He then noticed something. He couldn’t see Dream and Ink’s mortal partner and lover, Blue, anywhere. He decided to leave it be as Dust and Killer jumped to Nightmare’s aid with Horror and Cross coming to help Error with Ink.

Ink scowled, before calling for Blue, asking where his ‘sorry ass was?!’ Error grumbled as he pulled Dream in an arching motion over his head, sending him flying when he was released from Error’s strings.

Ink yelled in surprise and ran after his airborne lover, trying to catch him as Error wrapped his strings around the AU, preparing to rip it apart and destroy it. It being a Horrortale copy. Horror had no qualms about it being destroyed, and actually preferred if it was before the monsters could suffer long through the famine they all knew was coming.

“4R3 W-W3-e R3-re3Dy?” Error called to the goopy skeleton who came up to the three with two others in tow.

“Indeed we are, Error. We have collected all the supplies we could. Go ahead.” Nightmare responded, his tentacles relaxing as he neared the rest of his group. Error nodded, pulling his strings as Nightmare opened a portal back to their home, the castle.

“Wait.”

Everyone turned to the one who had spoken up, his red and purple eyelights refusing to meet the others.

“What is it now, Dusty?” The one with the black tear streaks flowing from his sockets and a target shaped skull pestered. “Got regret for killing the monsters here too?”

Dust scowled at Killer as he responded. “No! Just- I want to watch something when we get back, and with Error. I noticed something and want to show him if my theory is correct.”

This got everyone’s attention.

“What is it, Bunny?” The largest out of them all asked, scratching at the hole in his skull before the second shortest amongst them, dressed in white and black with only a red scar, eyelight and golden heart locket to break it up, grabbed his hand and pulled it away from the permanent scar.

“It might be nothing. Just- I want to double check with Error. Just me and him.” Dust replied. That keyed everyone into he wanted to see what happened with the collapsed AU, and he wanted the others to go home.

“Very well. Make sure he is unharmed, Error. Let’s go, you three.” Nightmare spoke in a clipped tone as he guided Horror, Cross and Killer into the portal, pushing Killer the most before following them and closing the portal.

Error watched as they left before turning to Dust. “What’s up, Dust? Why did you want to stay?”

Dust walked into a building, climbing up the stairs with Error following him. “I saw something, or rather, someone. Alone. Almost dusted.”

This got Error’s full attention. “Oh?”

“Yeah. Blue.” Dust walked out of the stairwell to the rooftop, walking to the edge and peering over the edge. “Down there.”

Error came over to the edge and looked down at the ground left as the rest of the AU turned into the white that made up the rest of the Anti-Void. They saw the golden flash of Dream and Ink leaving, but noticed Blue was still just laying there, unmoving.

“Th-they left him. H-how rude.” Error commented before swinging over the edge onto the fire escape below them. He made his way down, Dust following behind him. The gravel, rock, dirt and grit of the alleyway shifted and crunched under their feet as they walked up to Blue.

“Hmmmm. He’s not reacting.” Dust murmured, kneeling down, noticing Blue’s closed eyesockets. “Oh dear. Don’t tell me-” He pressed his fingers to the side of Blue’s vertebrae that made up his neck, feeling for the mana line there. He froze when he found it. Blue’s SOULbeat was slowing down and irregular.

“They left him to dust alone.”

Chapter Text

Error didn’t know why he had grabbed Blue and gone back home with him to the castle. He just knew he did. And that Dust never once tried to stop him. Instead, he helped him make sure he didn’t hurt the Fallen Down monster further.

When Error walked through his glitching portal with Dust following him and a floating Blue lifted in his strings, it was pretty easy to say the rest of the gang was surprised.

“What. The. Fuck.” Killer was the first one to speak. He stared at Blue’s floating body. “Why did you-”

“Because he would have done it for us. Let’s be real, Killer, we all know that no matter what we do to him, he wouldn’t have left us in a collapsing AU to dust alone like his team did to him.” Dust snapped at the gaping skeleton, cutting him off. His eyes held a clear challenge. ‘Tell me he can’t stay and heal. Go on, tell me.’ And no one took him up on it because Error made it obvious he would back up Dust if they tried to.

“What do you mean, ‘like his team did’?” Cross spoke up, his eyelights holding clear concern. He stared at the small, and now that he could study him properly, clearly starving and suffering warrior.

“I-Ink and Dream l-left h-h-him behind.” Error was the one to respond. He glanced at Nightmare, knowing that Blue had clearly been suffering if he had no qualms about starving himself. Basically, the exact things you had to do to qualify for Nightmare to take you in. Suffer and hurt more than most in the multiverse.

But Blue is a hero! How could he be suffering? Well, it was obvious he was being overworked, from how he always seemed to be ready to fight. Did the poor guy ever get any breaks? And it was just now that Dust realized that Blue had said brothers, not brother.

They all stared at Blue, with Horror whining softly. He hated it when anyone starved, even if they were the enemy. Nightmare could feel his worry and pain at his memories of his own time in a famine, and wrapped a tentacle around him, like a hug.

Killer frowned. Blue had always seemed bigger than life when they would fight against each other. Always loud and boisterous. Always promoting self-care and respect to those he aided, and was one of the strongest fighters Killer had ever met. He had been able to handle two opponents at once, sometimes three or four, while he was starving, dehydrated and exhausted. He was scared to find out what Blue could do when he was in shape and healthy.

Error moved towards the stairs, going to the next floor where all the bedrooms were, so he could lay Blue down before likely setting him up with an IV to get him the nutrients he needed. He was unaware that Horror had followed him until he turned around after preparing the needle for the IV only to find Horror crouched beside the bed Blue was laying on, whining softly enough Error hadn’t noticed.

“Hey. We’ll help him recover. He won’t be alone. Just like you weren’t.” Error’s voice was soft, the soft tone he reserved for the gang for when it was just them. He brushed some strings over Horror’s skull similar to how someone would brush their hand over another’s head.

Horror whined slightly, staring at Blue. “He’s hungry.”

Error frowned when he heard that, carefully inserting the needle before bringing the IV over and connecting it. “I know.” He made sure the line wasn’t too tight before stepping back, coiling his strings around Horror’s hand and gently guiding him out of the room.

They headed to the kitchen so Horror could start on dinner, and Error could speak to the others who had headed to the dining room. When they entered, the others immediately looked at them.

“How is he?” Dust spoke up as Horror headed to the kitchen. Killer seemed to notice that Horror was distressed and frowned, following him but not before saying something to Cross, who nodded.

“W-well, I got an I-IV i-in-into him, so he sh-should recove-er slowly.” Error took a seat next to Dust, who frowned. Nightmare sighed, clearly confused.

“How did he even get like that? He always seemed so full of energy, he was always happy. And that is also something that worries me. No matter what, he was happy. Even when Killer got him in the skull with his knife, Blue had joy in him.” Nightmare ranted for a bit, his tentacles lashing in agitation. He doubted his brother would use his aura like that, not unless he changed completely from the child he knew when they were young.

“I’m not sure. But it is something to raise concern about. Maybe we could ask him when he wakes up?” Dust proposed with Cross nodding along. Cross had actually been quiet, which was weird with how much he had come from the stoic soldier they had picked up.

“Cross? Y-you o-o-ok?” Error asked, using his strings to gently wrap around Cross’s hand, causing him to jump.

“Wha-? Oh, yeah. Just- I’m disappointed in myself for not seeing it sooner. It was obvious he was overworking himself! Even when Killer hit him in the skull with that knife, he was back the next day like nothing happened!” He ranted, squeezing the strings. His eyelights were vibrating while magic started to pool in his eyesockets.

Nightmare gently wrapped a tentacle around his waist and pulled him into his lap. ‘Poor Cross…. He sounds so distressed. How did none of us notice? Blue was there every time we attacked. Hell, sometimes it was only him and one or two of the others outside of Nightmare would handle him!’ Error felt disappointed in himself as well, though he was more worried on why Ink and Dream let Blue continue this destructive behavior. Hell, Dream seemed to encourage it by calling Blue’s name whenever he needed help! Never Ink’s!

“I-I think i-it wa-as en-enc-coua-arged. Dr-dream would alw-ay-ays call for Blue t-to-to he-elp him. Ne-never Th-he Squ-uid.” Error’s glitching got a little worse, and Dust grabbed some of the strings he kept hanging around him for if the others ever wanted to express their love or concern and such physically since he can’t do physical touch with them yet, though they were working on it.

Nightmare frowned, sighed as he tightened his hold on Cross. Killer, who had been listening while keeping Horror company entered the room with Horror, who he repeated everything they said to. They set out the food onto the table so dinner could start, Horror sitting between Dust and Nightmare, while Killer sat on Nightmare’s other side, grabbing one of his tentacles. They ate in relative silence, only speaking to try to make a plan of action to take with Blue. That was, they were until they heard a crash.

.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

Blue groaned as he slowly came back to consciousness. He didn’t open his eyes yet, knowing how bright Dream liked to keep their base, and how much that would make his migraine worse. He let his body adjust first, letting all his other senses return slowly as the ringing in his ears faded. He opened his eyes slowly, then froze.

‘Where am I?! This isn’t the base?! At least it’s dark… But still! Not somewhere I know! This isn’t even my room at home, so none of the kids came to get me!’ He looked around as he sat up, unaware of the IV he had just pulled at his abrupt movements, which sent the pole holding the bag up come crashing down. He jumped at the sound, looking over it, finally seeing it.

He heard yelling and footsteps on stairs, so he ripped the needle out of his arm and stood on the bed, noticing the vent directly above it. He pushed the grate into the vent before climbing into it, putting the grate back and watching from the shadows in it.

He didn’t know what he expected, but Nightmare and his group to come barging into the room certainly wasn’t it. Horror and Cross seemed the most worried and afraid, immediately yelling about where he went and how he was still likely weak and how dangerous it was for him to be moving too much.

‘They care more than Dream or Ink ever have. I’m… Relieved? Why? They’re my enemies! Right? But….. they care so much? Are we really enemies?’ He lay there pondering, before Nightmare looked up at the vent above the bed.

“He’s still here. In the vents.”

Chapter Text

He scowled at Nightmare, not moving, even as Killer hops onto the bed and pushes the grate up into the vent and looks at Blue.

“Wow, Baby Blue, you were quick to recover from passing out and nearly dusting!” He stares at Blue, though a frown was on his face, something no one ever really saw and surprised Blue.

Blue recovered a bit from his surprise and swung at Killer’s face, not liking how close he was. When his fist connected with Killer’s jaw, he had to step backwards, however since he accidentally stepped off the bed, he ended up hitting the floor with a yelp in surprise.

“Well now, that’s not a very nice way to thank those who helped save your life now, is it?” Nightmare stepped forward, looking up at Blue. Glanced at the IV. “Why did you remove it? It was helping you get the nutrients you are very much lacking at the moment.”

“Why would you help me. And let me go!” Blue snapped in response, glaring at the goop covered skeleton. ‘I need to get back to Stretch and the kids!’ He felt panic, and he knew Nightmare could feel it.

Nightmare frowned, before moving to help Killer up, who was rubbing the back of his skull where he had hit it on the ground.

“Because we aren’t heartless. Just do the one thing that needs to be done to keep the multiverse alive that Dream and Ink claim doesn’t need to be done.” Dust spoke up and stepped forward, and Nightmare noticed how Blue seemed to be a bit more open to the idea of Dust getting closer to him.

‘Why do they care? Oh no, I never said anything other than ‘I’m sorry’ to my brothers!’ Blue panicked and brought his wrist towards his face, trying to get it to connect to his brothers’ communicators.

The others noticed how Nightmare was guiding Killer out of the room, planning on letting Dust handle Blue, though Horror stayed behind with them.

“Blue, it’s just me and you now. You can come out.” Dust tried to coax the shorter skeleton out. Blue carefully dropped onto the bed, sitting cross-legged on the center of it as he messed with his communicator.

Dust took the chance and gently grabbed Blue’s arm, the one that the IV hadn’t been in, and grabbed the IV line and a new needle since the other one had been on the floor. He inserted the needle and connected the IV, all while Blue messed with his gray Echo Flower.

Horror walked over and kneeled beside the bed, where Dust rubbed his skull, careful of the hole on the side of it. Horror whined softly.

“C-can you….. eat?” Horror was slow when speaking thanks to the hole in his skull, though it didn’t change his caring nature, and he would show it to everyone who was brought into the castle. There was a reason the others called him ‘Puppy’. Blue looked at him after he asked the question.

“Oh. Uhm- yeah?” He murmured, letting his arm drop. He still wanted to get leave, if only to see his kids one last time, but he wouldn’t pass up the chance to take a break to eat, sleep and drink. He watched as Horror jumped to his feet and ran out leaving Dust standing beside the bed, laughing softly.

“He will make sure you’re well fed for as long as you end up staying, you know.” Dust said with a gentle smile. Blue stared at him. These weren’t the same people he fought against. These people were just that, people. Not criminals.

“How long am I staying.” Blue looked away from them. ‘They wouldn’t lie to me…… Would they? I mean, Dream did….. That to me.’ Blue took a deep breath, closing his eyes. Dust frowned at the way Blue seemed so different. What had happened to the bright skeleton that the others had become so eager to fight?

“Until you’ve recovered from overworking yourself. Why didn’t Dream and Ink stop you before you got to…. This?” Dust questioned as he fixed the blanket over Blue’s lap again. Blue frowned, and sighed.

“Because I was finally keeping up with them. I wasn’t sluggish anymore. I was….. I don’t know, happier? Which is weird. I shouldn’t have been as happy as I was when fighting you guys or when my body was basically falling apart because I was overworking myself. But I know why I was.” He looked down at his lap. ‘Dream……’ He sighed, rubbing at his face right as Horror came back to the room carrying a tray with food.

“What….. did you….. guys talk about?” Horror asked as he set the tray over Blue’s legs. Blue didn’t respond, though Dust filled him in anyway, the news making Horror whine. Blue slowly started to eat, picking at the food, knowing he wouldn’t be able to eat much after going so long on basically no food, sleep or water.

They all stood there, Blue picking at his food as Dust and Horror quietly exchanged words at the other side of the room. Blue didn’t bother trying to listen to them as he ate. Killer came back before long to tell the other two that Nightmare wanted them to go eat, following them after glancing at Blue, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

And boy did he have some thoughts. Thoughts about his three kids, his five brothers, his two teammates, lovers. Were they even that anymore? Did they have that right anymore? He wasn’t so sure now….

.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

The three skeletons walked into the dining room, where the last three of their group were waiting. They looked over to them with questions on their tongues and concern on their faces. Was their charge ok?

“Blue confirmed Error’s theory. The destructive behavior was encouraged. By both from what I understood. He’s been doing this for a while, and he was concerned about why he was always happy as well. Seems like he knew he shouldn’t have been happy all the time, and didn’t understand why he was.”

Dust’s voice echoed in the silent room. Nightmare scowled. His brother really had changed if he was encouraging others to destroy their bodies just to keep up with him. Error was disgusted by the fact that both of the people the multiverse, or majority of, saw as heroes would do such things.

“How-”

“I don’t know. But they are doing a damn good job of hiding it.” Nightmare cut off Killer, basically growling at the thought of his twin doing such things. Dream had always been the kind one, the one who promoted healthy habits. Yet now he was encouraging his own teammate, who Nightmare knew was also his lover, to do this to himself? Badness, has Dream changed.

“It surprises all of us, I think. But… I think there’s more to it than that. He seems anxious to get somewhere, not necessarily to leave the castle. I think someone who is important to him, that if they were here, he wouldn’t care about being here. And it’s not the Star Shits.” Dust replied.

“What could be so important that he doesn’t care he’s in enemy territory, just on getting to someone, someone, that if they were here, he would be content to stay here as well?” Error questioned, confusion and interest in the words clear.

“I don’t know. But I think we should find out. Dust, you seem closest to him. I’m not asking you to ask him, or spy on him, but you will be the best one to help him feel safe here and to help him recover.” Nightmare told the heterochromatic skeleton.

Dust nodded, he could see the reasons Nightmare was bringing up, and they were good ones. He would be fine with helping Blue and being the main one to take care of their charge.

“We have a plan then. We just have to wait.” Dust sat down and got himself a plate of food, watching as Killer and Horror did the same. Error hummed in confirmation as Cross leaned towards Dust, who happily grabbed his hand and held it.

“And that we will do. Wait for him.”

Chapter 4

Summary:

Blue contemplates his life as he knows it and writes a letter.

Error delivers the letter to Blue's brother, and he calls their other brothers to explain it to them.

Chapter Text

Blue was contemplating as he ate. How was he going to get home soon? He had to, since it was clear that his communicator was broken, meaning he couldn’t contact his brothers. Which meant that they didn’t know what happened to him, just that he didn't return with the other two.

His kids didn’t know either! Oh, his babies! He had to get home for his three little ones, even if two weren’t biologically his, he still raised them, so Ink could suck it up! Actually. Maybe he could befriend their other parent. He was being kept here by him after all.

Blue sighed as he moved the tray off his lap and to the table beside him, laying down on the bed and staring at the ceiling. He was still confused on why they brought him here. They were his enemies, right? So why were they treating him better than his lovers? And why did he suddenly feel….. empty?

He rubbed his eyes, grumbling. ‘I doubt I can leave easily since it’s obvious they want to help me heal. But I don’t want my brothers to panic….. Maybe I can get Error to pass a message along to Stretch or Classic?’ He sat up. ‘But how will I get pen and paper?’

He looked around and spotted a desk. He carefully manvuered himself to swing his legs over the side of it, though he brought the IV closer to him and grabbed its pole. He stood up slowly, ignoring the ache in his legs as he walked over to it, holding onto the IV, and sat in the chair in front of it.

He started to go through the drawers, finding a fountain tip pen and a stack of sheets of paper. He grabbed a sheet of paper, and started to write on it using the pen. He described the situation he was in and that he was safe, but he would try to get home as soon as possible, and to take care of his kids, writing down the list of each things that need to be done to keep his little ones healthy.

He folded it up right as Dust returned, and Blue was lucky since he had Error with him, who had his strings wrapped around Dust’s hand gently. They looked to the bed and didn’t see Blue, almost starting to panic until they saw him at the desk.

“What are you doing? You shouldn’t be walking yet.” Dust said, walking over to look over Blue’s shoulder, spotting the folded piece of paper. “What’s this?”

Blue looked up at him then at Error. “It’s a note for my family. Error? Can you take it to Classic or Stretch?” He asked, coughing after he spoke. Oh, was his throat dry. Error noticed the coughing, but decided to tell one of the others to bring a glass up.

“Sure. Hand it here.” He held out his hand to the paper, and Blue handed it to him while being careful to not touch his fingers. He was not an idiot, he saw how Error avoided touch, and he wasn’t about to test the hospitality of those who could kill him while he was weak like this.

Dust watched the interaction before just scooping Blue into his arms with no care in the world, ignoring Blue’s, who will always deny he ever did such a thing, rather adorable squeak of surprise, and carried him back to the bed in one arm while pulling the IV along with them so it doesn’t pull out of his arm.

Error snickered quietly as he left the two, heading to the kitchen where he knew Horror would be cleaning to tell him that Blue needed a cup of water, and quick. He had seen the quiet cough Blue tried to cover up, and the pain on his face from using his voice or breathing, his throat was that dry.

“How are you feeling now?” Dust asked as he sat Blue on the bed and fixed the blanket over his legs. Blue ignored him probably because he was taking stock of how he felt.

“Better. Thank you for helping.” He turned away, and would deny that he ever thanked Dust. No way would he admit that he did! Dust laughed softly as he pulled a chair over to the bed side and sat down.

Horror entered not too long after and handed Blue a cup of water, which Blue happily took and drank from, careful to be a bit slower so as to not choke. Horror knelt beside the bed and watched Blue, his red eye wide like a puppy’s as he made sure Blue finished the glass.

Dust noticed and laughed, realizing that Horror would likely grow quite familiar with that spot on the floor while Blue was recovering. Very familiar…

.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

Error walked into the kitchen a few moments after he left the room Blue was in. He smiled softly when he saw Horror, using his strings to wrap around Horror’s middle in place of a hug. Horror smiled and turned to look at Error.

“Blue needs a glass of water. His throat is dry, extremely so.” Error spoke softly, noticing the fact that Horror had dimmed the lights in the kitchen, which were specialized so he could do that easily when he needed.

“Alright….. I’ll….. bring him….. a cup…..” Horror murmured, turning back to the sink full of dishes as Error tightened his strings for a brief moment before pulling them away and opening a portal to UnderTale and stepping through it into Snowdin, at the sentry’s station where Classic ‘worked’.

He huffed a laugh when he saw the skeleton leaning on the counter of the station, asleep of course. When wasn’t he napping? Especially in weird positions that should be monumentally uncomfortable.

“Classic.” He used some strings to wrap around his arms and shake him lightly, waking up the judge. Classic sat up, looking at Error, narrowing his eyes. He had been told by Stretch of Blue’s disappearance and radio silence, and he suspected Error knew.

“What do you want. And where is he.” He all but sneered at Error. Error in reply simply handed him the letter from Blue by dropping it on the counter of the station and disappearing. Classic frowned as he picked it up and shortcutted back to his and Puff’s home. Puff immediately noticed Classic’s return to their home, and looked over, spotting the letter.

“Brother? What Is That?” He questioned as he dried his hands from washing the dishes and walked over. Classic opened the letter, immediately recognizing his missing brother’s handwriting, and began to read it. He activated the communicator on his wrist and waited for it to connect to the other three before explaining, not allowing them to ask any questions or greet him.

“Blue is with Nightmare’s gang, but he’s safe. They aren’t hurting him, instead quite the opposite, they’re helping him recover from his issues. He’s not sure when they’re letting him go, since they said they weren’t letting him leave until he’s fully recovered.

“Though he did also leave a list to help the kids. PaperJam needs to have help calming down before he sleeps, and needs to take his meds for his stabilization. Gradient will have to have someone remind him to remove his glasses before he sleeps, and that he can’t have anything with grains. Blueprint needs help with his emotions by letting him tell you about his day and how he feels before bed. All of them need a reminder to remove their scarves.

“In the morning, make sure they take their ADHD meds, and that they eat and get dressed properly. You need to help Blueprint tie his scarf into a bow. That’s it.” He took a deep breath when he finished telling the others.

“He’s safe at least. That’s all I care about.” Edge murmured from his end of the connection, getting a hum of agreement from Red. Puff nodded, humming in agreement as well.

“I can handle the kids, but I may need breaks or help for when I have to go to my job as a sentry.” Stretch said, knowing he couldn’t be with Blue’s little ones all day with his job, and PaperJam was fourteen, and while they could take care of their siblings, they already raised Gradient for the first five years of his little brother’s life since he was three when they lived with Ink.

“I Can Take Them! Your Job Starts Just After I Get Home From Undyne’s!” Puff spoke up, smiling. Classic made a sound of confirmation, he and Puff could both look after the three children.

“So we’re set until Blue can return?” Red asked, yawning, which did get a snap for him to stop being lazy and to not nap on the job from Edge. Classic was the one to reply to him.

“Seems so. We just gotta wait till he comes back.”

Chapter Text

Blue stared at the wall while Horror and Dust sat beside him. Well, Dust was sitting in a chair, Horror was kneeling on the ground. But that didn’t matter to him. Totally. Anyway! He knew he needed to see Sci again soon for his meds, he was glad he had left a note in the letter for Classic in specific to pick up the kids meds as well.

He didn’t notice Dust trying to talk to him as he got lost in thought, his mind drifting to his children, and in turn, his loss. He hated thinking about him. Not because he hated him, but because he lost him. The thought process then got to how he conceived.

He jumped when Dust touched his arm, slapping his hand away as he shifted away from him quickly. Dust froze at his reaction, not expecting it in the slightest while Horror whined softly. Cross, who had just walked in, frowned upon seeing this as well.

“You good?” He asked softly, walking into the room fully, sitting on the armrest of the chair Dust was sitting in, Dust wrapping his arm around his waist to help steady him. Blue shook his head as he righted himself, glad he hadn’t torn the IV from his arm. He wasn’t okay, and he knew it. Especially now that he could feel his magic dropping as if the source of it was ripped out of him.

Cross frowned at this, while Horror wanted nothing more than to wrap Blue up in a blanket like a burrito and cuddle him like a teddy bear, but he knew he shouldn’t. Blue was still uncomfortable with them, even if he wished he wasn’t.

“You wanna talk about it?” Dust asked quietly. Blue shook his head again as he tried to keep magic from beading in his eye sockets. He wasn’t going to cry! He refused! He knew that it was likely that Nightmare could sense his distress, and he hated it. He hated knowing that someone could feel his panic like Dream could, though Dream would immediately erase any negative emotions with his aura, even if it was something like pain from a broken bone, he covered it and replaced it with positive emotions.

The others frowned more while Horror whined loudly. He wanted to hold Blue even more now! Cross noticed and wrapped his arms around Horror’s skull, which was level with his stomach and pulled him into a hug.

Horror nuzzled into the hold and hid his face in Cross’s puffy as hell jacket. Cross rubbed the back of his skull while he leaned back against Dust’s shoulder. He sighed softly while Blue felt bad for Horror, though he didn’t know what Horror was thinking, he felt like it was his fault for Horror’s distress.

Dust tightened his hold on Cross as he sighed. Blue thought more on his kids and how they were conceived, magic springing to his eyesockets before he could stop them. The door opened and surprised all of them, even more so when they saw Nightmare standing there.

“Dust, Horror, Cross. Leave us for a moment. I wish to speak to Blue. Privately."

Stretch huffed in surprise as one of his nephews jumped onto his back, clinging to him.

“Uncle Stretch! Come look at what PaperJam is doing! It’s amazing! He’s making little bones! I think he’s going to try a Gaster Blaster next! Come see, come see, come see!” The youngest of the three said loudly, his arms wrapped around Stretch’s neck as he giggled like a little maniac.

“Alright, calm down. Where are your older brothers, Blueprint?” Stretch asked as he got his hands under his nephew’s legs to hold him up on his back for a piggyback. Blueprint pointed in the direction of his brothers’ room while giggling, holding on tight as Stretch walked up stairs, laughing softly at his nephew’s enthusiasm.

When he got closer to the two older boys’ room, he could hear laughter and soft coos coming from it. He opened the door to find a tiny Gaster Blaster, though it seemed like PaperJam had put too much magic or intent into their magic since he had made a full-body one that he knew wouldn’t dissipate or such.

“So you have a new pet now, huh. What’re you gonna name the little guy?” Stretch set down Blueprint, who was squirming on his back to be let down so he could go to the little dragon-like creature. The other two looked up at their uncle from the small creature, grins breaking out on their faces.

Stretch smiled at the view of his nephews smiling. They hadn’t been doing that as much the past few days since Blue was taken, and Stretch could feel the toll it was taking on all of them. Mainly during mealtimes when it was blatantly obvious that he wasn’t with them.

It wasn’t that Stretch was a bad cook. He really wasn’t, just like Red and Classic weren’t bad chefs. They just didn’t have as much of a passion for it as Puff, Edge and Blue did, which made them substantially better than the aforementioned three.

Stretch made good, healthy and sustaining food, and it was edible too! It just wasn’t as good tasting since he didn’t use as much seasonings as his brother did, who was amazing with seasonings.

“I was thinking Stain! Oh, or Glass, since he has a slightly transparent look to him!” Stretch froze. He knew of how the PaperJam and Gradient came to be. But they weren’t the only two. He immediately brought a smile to his face to play it off as if he was thinking about which he liked better.

“Stain fits him a bit better, since it’s clear you made a lot of those as you made him.” Stretch pointed to the ground in front of his nephew, smiling. PaperJam looked down at the new stains in the carpet on his side of his and his brother’s room before looking back up at his uncle and smiling sheepishly.

“Does it really matter? After all, there’s already stains everywhere on my side!” PaperJam grinned, the sheepishness leaving him as he refused to apologize for the new stains. Stretch simply softened his smile as he watched his nephews giggle at their brother’s blunt words.

“I guess not.” He was simply happy they were smiling again, even if it was laughing at their brother getting tackled by the tiny dragon-like creature he had just named Stain.

Notes:

I hated yet loved writing this one. I decided to give you guys some fluff before I get into the real trauma surrounding Blue. I pray you have some fluffy stories at your disposal because it's going to get sad and I may not post fluff in the same chapter as angst, and there might be a gap before the next chapter, and even then I can't promise that there'll be fluff in it. Also, say hi to Stain! And Glass. There is a character named Glass, just they already dead.

Chapter 6

Summary:

Pain. This is pain. I nearly cried doing the research and while writing this. You will need fluff to help you.

Chapter Text

Blue stared at Nightmare as the other three stood and left. He knew why the god was here. That didn’t mean he was excited though. Just that he knew what was up. Blue sighs and turns to stare at the wall beside him.

“You sensed my negativity.” A statement, no question. Nightmare nods as he takes the seat Dust had just vacated. He crossed his legs and folded his hands as he watched Blue’s reaction. He could tell his brother had been influencing him with his aura as Blue was in emotional turmoil, clearly dealing with loss, grief, anger and hatred for the first time after something traumatizing happened.

“You know what happened regarding your emotions, yes?” Nightmare asked the fighter, frowning as he tried to get Blue to look at him. Blue nodded as he sighed and turned towards Nightmare, though he kept his gaze on the bed. Blue was well aware, and was angry about it.

“I know, and I hate Dream for it, especially since he most likely knew what he was doing.” Blue replied, rubbing his arms. He had been quite literally forced to be happy for so long, after he lost her, someone who he just now gets to grieve even though she died years ago.

“You lost someone, and not anytime soon, I’m guessing.” Nightmare spoke softly, which, now that Blue had finally noticed, surprised him. He had always been told by Dream that Nightmare was cold and heartless, someone who used his followers for his own sick pleasure. ‘But Dream lied to me about my freedom. How much else could he have lied about?’

“I-I don’t want to talk about her yet. Not- not now. When will I be recovered enough to leave?” Blue changed the subject quickly, not wanting to dwell on the little one he lost. Even if it was years ago, he never got to mourn and heal, and Nightmare could understand that Blue wanted to sort through what was his real feelings on the subject and what ones were forced before speaking on it, so he went along with the change.

“About that. My boys noticed how you aren’t worried so much about leaving this place for yourself as your are for returning to someone else, and Dust noticed your choice of the word ‘brothers’ over ‘brother’. Why is that?” Nightmare met Blue’s gaze, whose eyes widened as he realized his mistake before he sighed. ‘The multiverse was bound to learn at some point.’

“That- That’s a long explanation, and has two parts to it.” Blue told the goopy octopus.Nightmare nodded in understanding, subconsciously checking the balance between positivity and negativity, which was favoring his side at the moment, meaning he needed Dream to rebalance it. He had time.

“I have time, so go ahead.” Nightmare told him, letting his tentacles relax as he realized that they were tense, and held his hands in his lap over his crossed legs. Blue nodded and took a breath.

“As most of the multiverse knows, Ink, Dream and I are all together as lovers, but it isn’t the healthiest relationship. Ink doesn’t understand most things due to never socializing for such a long period of time, and Dream- well, that’s a loaded thing.

“Dream is abusive and manipulative. As you can probably tell, he used his aura on me to influence my emotions, which effectively made me overlook his red flags, even when he- ah, raped me…. I know, surprise, surprise! The hero is a rapist.

“I didn’t even realize since he was influencing my emotions, and I only figured out that it was forced when I got home to my brother, seven weeks later. But by then, it was too late. I was pregnant, and too far along for an abortion. At least, not without it being dangerous for me.

“The first child for our little family, but it turned out they weren’t. Ink had managed to get some of Error’s string and blood from one of their fights and was experimenting with mixing it with his own magic and blood, which had ended up making a child. Actually, by the time he came forward about the kids, there was two of them.

“PaperJam is fourteen now, and Gradient is eleven. I ended up taking them in. When we found out about them, PaperJam was eight and Gradient was five. Ink had been so forgetful he forgot them, and PaperJam ended up raising his little brother for five years.

“When we found out, I was 38 weeks pregnant. I went into labor the next morning, and Ink took me to the hospital when I started having complications despite Dream saying I was being dramatic. He had said I would have a natural birth, but something went wrong early in but Dream ignored it, and it was my first time so I didn’t know.

“I found two hours in when Ink came in after searching for the pain pills Dream had hidden to sneak some to me to help, and saw something was wrong, so he rushed me to a hospital in the Omega Timeline. We were too late. Sunshine was a stillborn.

“I was distraught, when Ink told me he knew how I felt. Turns out in his experiments, which I told about, the ones that the results ended up being two children, there were actually three. Glass was the first one to be formed, but their soul was so unstable it collapsed on itself before Ink could even try to save them. He didn’t even get to know their gender, while we got to learn that Sunshine was a little girl.

“Later, I was pregnant again, this time with Ink’s child. He was ecstatic, until Dream pulled him away and raped him. Ink ended up conceiving as well. When PaperJam was ten, and Gradient was seven, little Blueprint was born, he’s four now. Ink gave birth to Palette Roller, who Dream took full custody over even though me and Ink had planned for me to take them since I had a house and Ink didn’t trust Dream, but it was too late, and we knew we wouldn’t be able to take him to court.

“I have no clue how Palette is, but I worry for him still. And I have five brothers. The first three universes all see each other as sibling universes, and therefore, Stretch, Puff, Edge, Classic, Red and I all see each other as brothers.” Blue explained, taking deep breaths whenever he felt like he was about to cry. Nightmare was appalled that his brother had fallen so far, and was livid his brother did such things, especially since he could feel Blue was truthful.

“I’m so sorry that happened to you. I never- I thought- Dream was always- I don’t know. He never gave any signs of turning out like this when we were kids, but I guess that just goes to show how good of an actor he was.” Nightmare gently grabbed Blue’s hand and squeezed it, offering comfort as a thought came to Nightmare.

‘Does that mean he knew about my abuse? Or worse, did he encourage it?’

Notes:

Dream did know, but he never encouraged it, he just never took any action to stop it. even when Nightmare was being sexually taken advantage of since he had no home to hide in and never fought back. Quick question as well, what is everyone's favorite color? And should I cross post this on Wattpad?

Chapter Text

After his talk with Blue, Nightmare shut himself into his office. He didn’t say anything to his team before shutting himself into the room, and that worried them greatly. They had all talked to him about communicating and telling others when he needed space or help, and he made sure to do so as to not cause his partners distress.

Nightmare wasn’t really all that present in the world at the moment though. No, he was stuck in old memories. Realizing that his brother had never once been surprised when he found Nightmare all beat up and bleeding with cracks and chips all over his bones. If anything he seemed disappointed, and Nightmare recognized the emotion he thought was sorrow at him not being able to help Nightmare as that disappointment now.

Had Dream been disappointed in Nightmare for not defending himself? Or had he been disappointed that the ones who had beaten Nightmare hadn’t done more to hurt him? Nightmare didn’t know anymore, and wasn't sure if he wanted to know the answer to that.

So, he ignored his thoughts and instead focused on paper work. He knew that having his whole understanding of his childhood come crashing down would be terrible for his mental health until he got to a more stable position with it, so distraction.

What he didn’t expect was for his final partner who is rarely home to pop into his office at that moment with a grin on his face. He kept his left eye almost always closed unless he felt threatened or pissed. His partner grinned when he saw him, walking around the desk and plopping himself into Nightmare’s lap, getting comfy where he was.

“So, bruh, why are you tense and trying to distract yourself by overworking yourself?” His partner asked as he snuggled into Nightmare, probably finding a comfy position to nap in while cuddling Nightmare, even if it hindered his ability to do his paperwork.

Nightmare huffed, but let Epic get comfy before wrapping an arm around his waist. He took his other hand and pulled some papers closer to him before grabbing his fountain pen because he liked how it looked when he wrote with it.

“You weren’t here for it, but we’ve taken in Blue. Turns out, Dream is a genuine villain hiding behind the mask of a hero. He raped Ink and Blue both. He took the kid Ink gave birth to, and Blue lost the one he was pregnant with. He had Ink’s kid though, and he kept him. Along with Ink’s two kids.”

Epic shot away from his pillow that was Nightmare’s shoulder to stare at him as if he had just cursed him, his left eye wide open and flaring a deep purple. Nightmare held his gaze calmly, not moving away, which would have pissed him off. He growled lowly, pissed as it was at Dream for what he did to such a sweet soul who he doubted would heal fully from his actions.

Nightmare hummed softly, rubbing Epic’s waist with his thumb as he worked on his paperwork again. He knew how his partner felt. But he was also so scared of how much Dream had known of his torture back at the village with the pain he went through there.

Epic seemed to notice his love's anguish and confusion, since he immediately nuzzled into his partner's neck. He sighed as he tucked his head into Nightmare’s neck to try and offer some comfort. He hated when any of loves were sad because that meant something had happened to them.

“What’s bothering you? I can tell something is wrong, diamond.” Epic murmured softly into Nightmare’s neck, tightening his arms around his love’s waist, wanting to offer his comfort. Nightmare stopped writing, lifting his pen from the paper as his hand started to shake from sorrow.

“I’m worried about how much I didn’t know about my brother now. Did he know about the pain I went through? Did he encourage it if he did?” Nightmare fretted, setting his pen down before he broke it in half from his fear and worry. Epic frowned as he tightened his arms again to offer more comfort.

He knew how much Nightmare had relied on his brother not knowing what happened to him. He had hoped he could use that information to fix his relationship with Dream, but if Dream already knew, how much is that going to do to fix that relationship? Epic doubted it would do anything to help.

“I’m sorry, black diamond… I know how much you had hoped he didn’t know.” Epic whispered, letting Nightmare move so that Nightmare had his head buried into Epic’s shoulder as he started to cry, mourning a forever lost brother. Epic rubbed his back as he wept, humming softly to comfort him.

They stayed like that until Killer and Cross poked their heads into the room after knocking. Killer’s grin immediately fell when he saw the scene, walking in quietly as Cross followed after, both of them kneeling on either side of Nightmare, holding his arms as he cried, though Killer shot a text to Horror, telling him to put foil over the food and come up to Nightmare's office with Error and Dust.

They stayed even longer after the other three joined them, not asking why Nightmare was crying, just offering comfort to him as he wept into Epic’s shoulder. Error wrapped his strings around everyone as Horror held Nightmare from behind as Dust nudged Epic to the side and joined him in Nightmare’s lap.

They stayed there until late into the night, not moving at all until Nightmare started to calm down, kissing the side of his head if they could, or his hands. He used his tentacles to wrap his partners in an embrace as a thank you for staying with him as he sobbed.

They all made their way downstairs to the dining room, where Horror collected the plates and took them into the kitchen to reheat them. Cross ended up being the one who sat in Nightmare’s lap so he could hold onto someone as they ate.

They were all just grateful that Nightmare hadn’t fallen into one of THOSE episodes.

Notes:

Let me have a happy Epic + BSP. I read a story that made me cry. If you can guess it in the comments, first one to get it gets a tag in the next chapter. Also, a question for all of you! What is your favorite animal? Mine is the Canadian Marbled Fox! Hope you all have a good night/day/morning/evening/afternoon/etc.!

Chapter 8: Slow down on posts

Summary:

Explanation and reason for my posts not being very frequent and unscheduled.

Chapter Text

Hi! Twilight here! So, I know I said last week that posts would be weekly, but that will be my goal, but may not happen as I didn’t realize school was literally around a week away. I started yesterday, and will not force myself to write a chapter because I have readers. I am not saying I am not grateful for you all! I really am! But I will prioritize myself since this is a story written for fun, and I will not force myself to do something I don’t have motivation for. I do have the next chapter in the works, and it’s almost finished, just be patient!

Now, posts may be slower since I did just lose my friendship with my best friend because of a disagreement, which I will be addressing here, though I will not be mentioning her name.

Now, I will disclose this first, DO NOT IGNORE YOUR FRIENDS! I AM NOT SAYING THAT!

Now, here’s the problem at hand. Earlier today, after we got out of school, she ended up having to prevent six people from killing themselves, or harming themselves, and I am NOT saying that she is wrong for that. Not at all! However, this is a common occurrence with her having to prevent people from hurting or killing themselves, and it always seems to be the same people. I told her that they should seek professional help, like therapy, but she started defending why they couldn’t, saying their parents denied them it, even though that could be considered abuse or neglect and should be reported. For the most part, I am worried about her mental health, because after those chats and conversations, she would often call me and cry and vent about it. And I don’t believe it’s their parents denying them therapy as much as they can’t afford it, and I’m not blaming them for that, but they can still go to their school counselor, or a trusted adult. They should not be going to their peers who do not have the knowledge they seek! I’m not saying that it’s wrong to seek out comfort from your friends, or that you should just bottle up feelings of suicide. But don’t rely on your friends entirely, as that will backfire on their emotional health as well. She however decided to say that we were no longer friends, and that I was in the wrong for my beliefs and facts I looked up. So I will be taking a bit of a break to process this development since she truly was my best friend, and this hurts like hell. And I’m not innocent either since during the fight when it had blown up, I did say some unsavory things, though I will not give you that information because that could hurt them further. Please, be patient with me. I am a teenager, and trying to find my place in life while navigating schools and now this loss of my closest friend.

With all of that said, I am not going on a hiatus. I’m just giving a warning that posts may slow down after the next chapter as school kicks into gear and I process the loss of someone I saw as a sister in my life. I hope you all find help if you need it, and are healthy otherwise! If you’re in school like me, good luck and stay healthy! Don’t overwork yourself, and try to keep track of your emotions. Don’t bottle them up, but don’t slow up on those around you either. With that said, goodbye, and have a lovely time!

Twilight out.

Chapter 9

Summary:

Pets of the bad guys, though it will be continued later when we cover Error, Nightmare and Blue, though that isn’t now. Have fun with the personalities of the pets, and make your designs for them! I would love to see what you come up with!

Chapter Text

Blue was getting bored fast without anything to do while a minimum of one person of the gang was with him at all times, making sure he was fed, rested and washed, though they never entered the restroom when he was bathing. No, they just stood outside, which was just as annoying.

He didn’t have anything to do when he was just laying in the bed. But he was glad he could feel annoyed, since that meant Dream hadn’t left any lasting effects in his emotions from using his aura on Blue so often. Which him even happier, since he knew Nightmare isn’t using his aura since Blue could feel happy!

However, with nothing to do, he started to analyze the people caring for them. He figured out how they actually acted off the field, how they interacted. It surprised him to learn that they were all in one big polycule, but it also made him feel… at home. Since that was what he was used to.

He noticed that Horror, who would stay with Blue the most since he had taken a head injury not too long ago to the hole in his head, so he was to stay inside the castle until it was healed since they couldn’t use healing magic in the wound due to the fact that would agitate the old scar since it wasn’t allowed to heal right itself.

He learned that Horror is literally a gentle giant. He was tall, yes, and built like a bear, but he had the temperament of a teddy bear. He rarely raised his voice unless to yell through the castle about meals. Even then, he preferred to use a bell.

Horror also was more than willing to let people sit in his lap and nap. Killer would often enter Blue’s room and sit on Horror’s lap, get comfortable, then promptly fall asleep. Horror loved physical affection, and would soak it up like a sponge.

He also liked verbal affection, Blue had noted, and used the third most pet names with his lovers. Horror also had trained pet chickens. Trained as in they wouldn’t poop in the house, and stayed with someone usually, so they didn’t get underfoot since they liked to use the people in the castle as a perch. The cats in the house were also trained to not attack the chickens.

There were three chickens in total, all hens. The youngest, who was named Becca, was actually pretty nice and gentle, much like her owner, and liked to peck people lightly in a way to copy how she had seen Horror kiss the tops of their heads. Blue thought it was actually really sweet.

Next, was Sammy. Sammy was more reserved, quiet, and tended to stay with the calmer members of the poly, like Nightmare, or Dust. She was really soft, but didn’t like loud things or anything fast. She would rather sleep the day away in Nightmare's office than stay with Killer as he was playing a prank.

Lastly, we had the old gal. She was sweet as well, but stayed with Horror, rarely leaving his side. It was obvious she kept the other two in line if they did decide to cause trouble, but she was slower, and a lot more tired. Her name was Lola, and she often would settle in Horror’s lap when he was sitting, watching Blue, and take a nap.

Then there were two cats. The older one was a big cat, really fluffy, named Dilo, and was often found napping in people’s beds or in front of heaters. They didn’t know what exactly he was, but they suspected Norwegian Forest Cat mixed with Maine Coon due to his size and fur. He loved pets, and had a quiet, sometimes silent, meow that he used when he wanted something.

Next was Freda, who they had no clue what she was. She was mean with new people, and was an amazing hunter. She loved to use her trick to get treats. She was taught if she headbutted someone on the forehead while on a certain staircase, that they would give her treats.

Then there were Cross’s two dogs. Ralo and Ralph. Ralo, the older one, was a Bichon Dachshund mix, and was a grumpy one. While yes, he’s a small dog, he wasn’t afraid to jump up and bite people. And he did that often. Usually targeting your ears if you had them, though he targeted Nightmare’s tentacles.

He was also very hardy, if him surviving being hit by a car when he ran through a portal as a puppy was anything to go by!

Ralph, the younger of the two, was a Toy Poodle Maltese mix breed, and was a lap dog through and through, though he did have health issues. His lungs were collapsing and his fur was falling out, though they managed to find a surgery for his lungs, and Error just started knitting the dog sweaters.

Epic had a bunch of snakes, and loved them, even if most saw them as dangerous. He had four. A Angola Green, a Rough Green, a Rosy Boa, and a Saw-Scaled Viper, each with a carefully crafted enclosure made to fit them and their needs specially.

The Rosy Boa, Speckle, was very sweet, even known for booping noses with people in a form of affection. Speckle had an amazing habitat, hand crafted so it looked like her home in the desert that she was taken from as a malformed egg. She was usually the one taken out of her container due to how gentle and sweet she was.

The Rough Green Snake, Vine, was pretty quiet and docile, though would play if you placed a fish toy that people got for cats in his lake in his habitat that was hand made to have a little area for him to swim and climb. Blue liked Vine more than Speckle or Piper out of the four snakes, mainly because he would play with people.

String Bean, the Angola Green, was a playful snake who was fast and an amazing swimmer. His habitat also included a pond and lots of small treelike plants, which it was clear that String Bean enjoyed those added bits. The trees also had little strings hanging from them, and ribbons and little hammocks for String Bean to sleep in when he wants to nap.

Finally, you have Piper, the Saw-Scaled Viper, also known as Piper the Viper. She was a more moody snake, who would sass anyone and everyone by hissing at them, sometimes even faking a snap at their hands. Her habitat was heavily based on deserts and an oasis that Epic found in some random surface AU. Blue was surprised that the gang even had access to surface AUs, but it seemed he was learning something new about them every day.

But that didn’t mean he wasn’t bored out of his mind.
