Chapter Text
"Undyne, Can I Ask You Something?" Papyrus muttered, his tone uncharacteristically soft.
Undyne looked up from the mushy pulp on her counter that was once a pile of vegetables. Pasta sauce ingredients dripped from her closed fists as she paused the cooking lesson, instead paying full attention to her skeletal friend. He'd been acting strange their whole 'training' session, unusually shy and aloof, and the aquatic monster wasn't sure how to broach the subject. She felt some of the tension lift from the air, now that Papyrus had bitten the bullet for her. She shook the vegetable pulp from her hands, splashing it across her already splattered counter, and grabbed a hand towel to wipe the rest of the residue off her knuckles.
"Sure, Pap!" She smiled cheerfully, "What's up?"
Papyrus wringed his gloved hands together nervously, as his feet shuffled in place. "You Are In Love With Dr Alphys, Correct?"
Undyne's face flushed red as she stammered a response. "Wha-?! What gave you that idea, Pap? I- I'm not in love with her, I just think she's pretty cool y'know?" She rubbed the back of her neck as her eyes darted from side to side. She knew she was a bad liar but it was worth a try. She knew Papyrus wouldn't judge her for such emotional things like a crush, but others might. She put a lot into maintaining her image as the stern, stoic Captain of the Royal Guard. Certainly Doggo would laugh at her if he found out she had a silly little crush.
Papyrus, seemingly ignoring her denial of her feelings, continued on. "What Does That Feel Like? How Do You Know What You Are Feeling Is Love, As Oppose To A Close Friendship Or A Familial Bond?"
Undyne's shook the blush from her cheeks, her previous embarrassment pushed aside. Her friend clearly needed her honesty and support right now, the least she could do was put her discomfort about the subject aside for him.
"Gee, Pap. You've been thinking about this a lot, huh?" She asked. She then gestured to the table, encouraging Papyrus to sit down as she turned the kettle on and opened the cupboard to retrieve some golden flower tea. Yea always helped in situations where emotion was involved. Stars knew it helped whenever Asgore had needed her emotional support.
Undyne placed the tea box along with two mugs onto the only clean spot of counter space. She then turned around back around, leaning against the counter to face her friend as they both waited for the kettle to boil. She hummed in thought for a moment, trying to think of the best way to arrange her thoughts and come up with an answer to her friend's question.
"It's kinda like, when you care about someone a whole lot. You wanna spend all of your time with them. You think of them when they're not around. More than you would with a regular friend." Her blush crept back as she continued, her voice growing louder and more passionate with each sentence. "You wanna touch them and be close with them! You wanna hold their hand and kiss their face! You wanna cuddle with them while watching human documentaries instead of sitting on different ends of the couch! You wanna protect them with all of your SOUL! You wanna see them happy and you'd DESTROY ANYINE WHO MADE THEM CRY!"
Undyne spun around and punched the counter to emphasise her last thought, her building passion needing an outlet. Her fist landed a crater in the countertop, cracks spreading out like spiderwebs across the kitchen area. Although the counter was mostly hidden by a cloak of sauce, the damage peeked through exposed spots and scaled the tile wall, which itself had already been repaired numerous times. The fish monster's face grew hotter at her outburst as she tried to compose herself with a cough.
"..or something like that. So I've heard." She sheepishly shuffled in front of the damaged countertop, blocking it from Papyrus' view.
The skeleton simply stared at her with stars in his eyes. "WOWIE! That Sure Sounds Intense! Thank You Undyne, That Is Most Helpful!
Undyne smiled and lifted the kettle which had finished boiling. She filled both mugs with hot water, pouring over the tea bags and letting them sit. "Heh, no prob!" She chuckled, before siring the mugs and removing the tea bags. She carried both mugs to the table where placed one in front of Papyrus, then took a seat at the opposite end of the table, cradling her own mug and facing him.
"So you got it bad for someone then, huh?" She questioned the skeleton opposite her. It was Papyrus' turn to blush, orange magic dusting his cheekbones. Undyne managed to mask her surprise that skeletons were even capable of such a thing, as she listened to her friend's response.
"Nyeh Heh, It Would Seem So." Papyrus puled at his scarf, "Even The Great Papyrus Isn't Immune From Developing A Crush. I'm Afraid I Can Relate To All Of The Things You Listed, Even The Wanting To Kiss Them Part, Despite The Fact I Don't Have Lips!"
Undyne chuckled at that, sipping her tea and giving Papyrus a warm smile. She wondered who could have possibly caught Papyrus' eye. He didn't particularly know a whole lot of monsters.
The tall skeleton continued, "The Only Thing That Doesn't Really Apply Is The Human Documentaries. Sans And I Much Prefer Watching MTTV Together!" He beamed.
Undyne spit out her tea.
"SANS?!" She choked, "Please tell me I got that wrong, Pap!"
Papyrus' brows (or the mailable bone that represented eyebrows) furrowed in confusion. "What's The Matter Undyne? Don't Tell Me You Have A Crush On Sans Too!"
Undyne grimaced, both at the implication that she'd be into the lazy slob, and at the apparent incestuous feelings her friend had been having for him. "Pap, Sans is your brother..."
"I Know!" Papyrus grinned, "Who Better To Have A Crush On Than My Very Own Brother! We Already Know Each Other So Well, We Grew Up Together After All! It Should Be Easy For A Romantic Relationship To Blossom Forth!"
Undyne groaned. This was not how she was expecting this conversation to go. She knew Papyrus was naive, but this was a bit more than she could have possible imagined. She certainly didn't feel equipped to tackle such a heavy and taboo subject like incest, but she was the one her friend had turned to and she needed to be there for him.
"Papyrus... you can't have a crush on your family. It's wrong." Protectiveness suddenly surged in her chest. Papyrus was so innocent minded, he had to get the idea of crushing on his brother from somewhere. She never imagined Sans could be capable of hurting his brother, but she had to make sure. She stood up, leaning over the table slightly and slamming a fist on the surface, "Wait, did Sans suggest this idea to you?! Is he trying to touch you?!"
Papyrus raised his hands in defence, "No, No! Sans Doesn't Know Anything Yet. I Wanted To Speak With You To Confirm My Feelings Are What I Think They Are Before Confessing To Him."
Undyne slumped back down in her seat in relief. If that boneheaded had dared hurt Papyrus... well, she didn't need to think about it now. "Oh, Pap..." She rubbed a hand over her face, wracking her brain for how to explain this to the innocent-minded skeleton. "You can't have a crush on... You cant be in love with your family. Its not right."
Papyrus seemed to deflate at this. "Oh... I See." He frowned, scratching his chin in thought. Undyne could almost see the cogs turning in his head. "But Why?"
Undyne rubbed the back of her neck. "It's a lot to explain. There's weird power dynamics, blurry lines of consent, not to mention possible birth defects of any kids from the similar magical frequencies..."
"I Doubt Sans Would Want Children," Papyrus dismissed, "And I Don't Think That We Have A Power Dynamic. As For Consent-" He mused.
"Papyrus, please!" Undyne interrupted, not wanting to hear any more justifications Papyrus could come up with. "Incest is a very serious thing. Even if none of the things I mentioned were a problem, and that's a very big if, insect is extremely taboo, and illegal. You would be shunned by the whole underground and possibly even thrown in jail!"
Papyrus pondered this, rubbing his chin. "Hmm.. This Is... A Lot To Take In."
Undyne reached across the table to Papyrus' remaining hand, resting hers on his gloved phalanges. "Pap, if these thoughts about your brother are serious, I think you should speak to your local healer about this. They can set you up with a therapist to work through this. It'll be okay." She gave him an encouraging smile.
"Thank You, Undyne." He returned her smile, "You've Helped Me A Great Deal."
____
Undyne had thought that would be the last she'd heard of that conversation. She was more than happy to push it to the back of her mind. That was until a few months later, when the two of them had tried out a new recipe: lasagna. Papyrus had pulled the finished product from the oven and given it a good sniff (how he could smell things with no nose or lungs she had no idea). It was charred beyond recognition, black smoke threatening to set off the fire alarm, but neither monster seemed to notice or care.
He turned to her, with a dusting of orange on his cheekbones, which she hadn't seen since that conversation, and asked her, "Do You Think Sans Will Like This?"
An innocent question, but something about the way he said it with that magical blush on his cheeks was almost... lustful. Undyne cringed, not wanting to revisit the topic but seeing no other choice.
"Pap... you don't still have a crush on your brother... do you?"
Papyrus' blush deepened. "Wh- What? What Makes You Think That?! The Great Papyrus Would Never Have Such Incestuous Thoughts!" An obvious lie. Papyrus hadn't even heard of the word until his previous conversation with Undyne.
"Papyrus you literally confessed this to me like three months ago." Undyne deadpanned. The nerd didn't even know what 'incestuous' had meant until she explained it to him.
Papyrus started to sweat. (How???) "Nyeh Heh, It Seems Even The Great Papyrus Cannot Fool You, Undyne! It's True... I Still Have Feelings For My Brother." He confessed, hastily adding, "I Have Not Acted On Them! After What You Told Me, The Last Thing I'd Want Is To Get Sans In Trouble Over My Emotions..."
"You didn't speak to the healer, did you?" Undyne narrowed her eyes, already knowing the answer.
Papyrus shamefully shook his head.
Undyne sighed. "The healers are there to help you, Pap! They won't judge you, they'll help you find a suitable therapist and get to the bottom of these... weird feelings you're having! Would it help if I asked Alph? She's not that kind of doctor but she should have connections that can help!" She suggested, desperately wanting to fix this issue in her friend.
"N-no! No Need For That, Undyne! In Fact, I Will Go Speak With Snowdin's Healer Right Now!" The skeleton proudly announced. He snapped to attention and saluted the captain, burnt lasagna dropping to the ground and smashing across the floor, baking tray and all. He then marched out the door, determination in his stride.
Undyne watched the skeleton leave, her brows arched with concern. She didn't want to overstep her boundaries with her friend, but she needed to make sure he actually followed through with getting help this time.
Right after she cleaned up this mess.
_______
Papyrus marched through Waterfall, in the direction of his home village. Lost in his thoughts, he pondered the reason for his early return: his feelings for his older brother. For the longest time, Papyrus had not just loved his older brother, but been in love with him. His smile, his clever jokes which Papyrus pretends to hate, his kind nature, those sparkling eye lights gazing at him from over a storybook. Every little detail about Sans, Papyrus was completely enamoured with.
Even more negative traits of his brother, like his laziness or tendency to eat greasy junk food, became nothing but silly little quirks in the younger brother's eyes.
He would often think about holding the smaller skeleton's hand as they walk through the snowy forest, or the two of them cuddling together in his race car bed after a bedtime story - instead of his brother biding him farewell for the night and leaving to sleep in his own bedroom. He wanted to be close to Sans. He wanted to run a hand down his spine as their teeth clacked together in a skeletal kiss. He wanted Sans to moan out his name as he-
"Whoa, there buddy! Watch where you're walking!"
Papyrus was dragged from his thoughts by a little yellow flower cowering under his raised boot. He retracted the boot in surprise and crouched down, getting closer to the flower's level.
"FLOWEY! Good To See You, My Friend! I Apologise For Almost Stepping On You, I Must Have Been Lost In Thought!" Papyrus grinned at his tiny friend.
Flowey held a leaf to his chin curiously, "Lost in though, huh? Care to share with your ol' pal?"
Papyrus found himself blushing, "O- Oh! Um... Well You See.." He stammered, unsure what to tell his little yellow friend. Undyne had told him that he would likely be shunned for admitting his incestuous thoughts, and the last thing he wanted was to loose a friend.
"Papyrus~" Flowey sing-songed, "You're not keeping secrets from lil' ol' me, are you? Friends should never keep secrets from each other!"
Papyrus considered his options. He could lie to his friend, but he wasn't a very good liar and Flowey may find out the truth anyway. If he did tell the flower the truth, he risked being shunned by his friend, or worse he may not want to be friends anymore!
That being said, Undyne had taken it pretty well when Papyrus told her about his incestuous crush. She had gently explained to him why such a thing was inappropriate and encouraged him to seek help, without a trace of judgement on her face. Perhaps Flowey, being his good friend, would be the same?
"Flowey," The skeleton began, "I Am Going To Confess Something... Unusual To You. I Have Been Experiencing Some... Complicated Emotions Regarding My Brother."
"Oh?" Flowey tilted his head in interest, "What kind of emotions? Did you two have a falling out?"
"Nyeh Heh, Quite The Opposite Actually." Papyrus tucked his hair behind his ear, "I Seem To Have Found Myself Feeling Romantic Feelings For My Brother." He confessed.
Flowey froze for a moment, and for a split second Papyrus thought he saw a disgusted look on his friend's face, before it resumed it's usual friendly smile. Must have been his imagination.
"Golly, Papyrus! That sure is quite the revelation!" Flowey empathised with the tall monster.
Papyrus relaxed his shoulders, relieved that his friend didn't seem to be having a negative reaction to his confession. "Yes, And I Know What I Must Do To Resolve This. Undyne Instructed Me To Speak To The Healer, Who Will Refer Me To A Therapist. Usually The Great Papyrus Would Have No Need For Such Things But It Seems This Is A... Special Scenario."
The small flower gave him a quizzical look. "A therapist? Why would Undyne recommend that?"
"Oh! Well, As She Explained To Me, Such Thoughts And Feelings Are Not Only Unhealthy And Taboo, But If I Were To Ever Act On It, It Would Be Illegal! I Would Never Want To Hurt Sans, Even Accidentally, So Talking With A Therapist Should Help Me Eliminate These Feelings Once And For All, And The Great Papyrus Will Be Flawless Once Again!" He struck a pose, his scarf blowing in the wind.
"Hmm..." Flowey tapped a leaf to his chin, "I don't know, Papyrus. I'm not sure getting rid of your feelings is a good idea."
This peaked the skeleton's interest. "Why Ever Not? From What Undyne Told Me, There's A Whole Lot Of Trouble To Be Caused By Such Emotions!"
"That's the thing," Flowey mused, "I don't want to accuse her of lying to you but I've certainly never heard of incest being a bad thing. The only reason it's illegal is because of genetic problems from more fleshy monsters breeding with their families. Being a skeleton, and you both being males, you shouldn't have that problem! You shouldn't let some silly law stand in the way of love!" He encouraged.
"Oh, Well Actually, Skeletons Of Any Gender Can Get Pregnant! Our Pronouns And Biology Have Little To No Correlation. All Skeletons Are Capable Of Summoning Both Male And Female Parts! Not That That Matters, I Doubt Sans Would Want Children Anyway."
Flowey nodded, absorbing the new information. "That's too bad, I think it would be so cute to see you two with a little babybones!"
Papyrus blushed harder than before, orange magic spreading over his skull. "Nyeh Heh, Do You Really Think So?" He pictured himself and Sans together, holding a bundled up babybones that resembled them both. Papyrus' long skull with Sans' rounded features and cute little sparkling eye lights.
Flowey nodded, encouraging Papyrus' fantasy. The tall skeleton quickly shook the thoughts from his head however, as reality surely wouldn't allow such a scene to unfold.
"It's A Nice Thought, But It Would Certainly Never Happen. I'm Sure Sans Doesn't Have Such Feelings About Me, And Even If He Did We'd Be Shunned By The Entire Underground For Such A Relationship."
Flowey winked, "Well that's simply not true, Papyrus! I've met lots of sibling couples in the Underground, even some other family dynamics! Some monsters unfortunately do have a very negative view of incest, and it sounds like Undyne is one of them, but the Underground is a more accepting place than you realise!"
"Hmm..." Papyrus scratches his chin in thought. "That's Still Doesn't Change The Fact That I Doubt Sans Sees Me In That Way. He Has Never Hinted At Anything Beyond Brotherly Love."
"Maybe not, but as the older brother maybe he is keeping such feelings a secret from you? You'll never know if you don't try to find out! Besides, even if he doesn't have those kinda feelings for you, I'm sure someone as great as you would be able to win him over in no time!"
Papyrus straightened up, his eye lights glinting with determination as he stands tall. "You're Right, Flowey! The Great Papyrus Shouldn't Give Up So Easily! If My Brother Doesn't Romantically Love Me Already, I Will Simply Woo Him With My Charismatic Charm!"
Flowey gave him the leafy equivalent of a thumbs up with a wink, "You got this Papyrus! I believe in you!"
________
A few days later, Sans was sprawled on the couch. Papyrus was not home, which allowed him to be as lazy as he pleased without the nagging of his younger sibling. He was watching Mettaton's latest drama release on the TV. It was a series about two estranged lovers, pulled apart by society's rigid structure. Of course the roles of both of the lovers were played by Mettaton, wearing a different outfit to represent each character. For a rectangle, he sure could pull off a dress.
Sans hadn't been paying attention to all of the details. Between periods of dozing off, he was able to piece together that the thing pulling the lovers apart was some sort of family feud from a business collaboration turned betrayal. The short skeleton huffed in amusement, as the characters on the screen dramatically argued over the latest development. It wasn't supposed to be a comedy, but the over-the-top acting and outrageous leaps in logic by the script were unintentionally hilarious.
Soon the scene changed again, now displaying the two protagonists in a heartfelt, romantic moment. Sans felt his eye sockets growing heavy, and his eye lights threatening to extinguish into slumber. He didn't see any reason to fight it and so he gave in, bones sinking further into the lumpy couch and eye sockets drifting closed.
...
...
BANG! The front door swung open with a crash, a perfect boot print now decorating the middle, and Papyrus confidently strode in with an armful of shopping bags.
"SANS!!!" He yelled, booming voice reverberating through the entire house.
Sans sat up with a jolt, entire body jumping like a startled cat. His soul thumped in his chest with adrenaline at the sudden and loud intrusion on his peaceful slumber. He clutched his shirt at the chest, willing his nerves to calm down after seeing that it was only his brother returning home.
"Pap," He breathed, "oh geez, you made me jump out of my skin."
Papyrus chose to ignore his brother's pun, instead marching over to the coffee table in front of him and dumping the shopping bags on top. One bag toppled over, sending tomatoes, onions and a few other items rolling across the floor.
"Brother! I Have Decided To Test Out The New Recipe Undyne Taught Me For Dinner Tonight! And You Are Going To Help Me!" The tall skeleton struck a pose, one hand on his hip and the other pointing dramatically at his brother.
Sans raised a brow in confusion, "you want me to help you? don't you normally want me out of your way when you're cooking? besides, what makes you think i'm capable of putting enough effort to make a whole meal?" He shrugged, face donning his signature grin.
"Ugh!" Papyrus rolls his eyes, "You Won't Be Making The Whole Meal, Just Assisting Where I Deem Necessary! Besides, It's About Time You Got Your Lazy Behind In The Kitchen. I Don't Think I've Seen You Cook Anything Since I Was A Babybones!"
Sans shrugged. "i dunno, Paps, i'd probably just be in your way. besides, i'm pretty bone tired so- oof!"
Papyrus wordlessly lifted his brother from the couch by the armpits and marched him to the kitchen. There, he placed his brother on the step stool in front of the counter, which allowed the short skeleton easy access to the counter top.
"uh, Pap?" Sans looked at his brother, who he was now almost as tall as thanks to the stool, with concerned eye sockets.
Papyrus placed a cooking mallet in Sans' phalanges, avoiding eye contact. "I Will Not Stand For Any Excuses Brother! You Are Going To Assist Me And That's Final!"
Papyrus dashed out if the room to retrieve the shopping bags, leaving Sans in a confused daze. Not even a second later, the taller skeleton returned, piling the bags on the kitchen table and putting a handful of vegetables in front of his brother.
"We Are Going To Make LASAGNA!" He announced. "Some Of The Steps Are The Same As Spaghetti, Like Making The Sauce! Lasagna Actually Contains Two Sauces, But I Will Handle The White Sauce. You Need To Pulverise These Vegetables Into A Healthy Tomato Sauce!"
"heh, if you say so bro." Sans chuckled. He was somewhat bewildered by his brother's behaviour but decided to humour the tall skeleton. He raised the mallet and allows gravity to do the work in dropping it onto the tomato, putting in no effort himself. The mallet bounces off slightly in his light grip and the tomato rolls away. "whoops."
"SANS! Please Take This Seriously!" Papyrus stomped his boot. His voice was almost his usual irritated tone but there was something else to it. A hint of frustration and upset? Sans wasn't sure what to make of it.
"whoa, sorry bro!" Sans raised his hands in surrender, "i'll try for real now, promise." He gave his brother a reassuring smile with a wink.
Papyrus brightened up at that and replaced the tomato back in front of his brother. The tall skeleton didn't resume his own task, but watched Sans intently. Sans raised the mallet once again and lowered it with as much force as he could muster. He missed his target slightly, hitting the near side of the tomato. The tomato shot at the wall, ricocheted back and hit Sans square (or round, heh) in the eye socket.
"Brother! Are You Alright?!" Papyrus caressed his older sibling's face with a gloved hand.
"ow.." Sans rubbed his eye socket, "i'm fine, bro. shouldn't leave a bruise but i'll keep an eye socket on it." He chuckled at his own pun, anticipating a reaction from his brother.
Papyrus said nothing, studying his brother's face with concern.
"heh, maybe i'll need to put some eye-ce on it!" Sans tried again.
"Hmm, I Think You Will Be Fine. Tomatoes Aren't The Most Deadly Of Vegetables." Papyrus mused before retracting his hand. He then moved to position himself behind the shorter skeleton and reached one arm around to cup around Sans' hand containing the mallet, the other hand resting on Sans' shoulder.
"Pap, what're you..." Sans trailed off. The height of the stool he was standing on meant that Papyrus' pelvis was brushing flush against the back of his.
"It Would Seem You Are In Need Of Assistance From The Great Papyrus! Not Everyone Can Be As Strong As Me! Nyeh Heh Heh!" Papyrus preened.
The taller brother guided Sans's hand to the pile of vegetables and thrust the mallet down, crushing a tomato. As the mallet reached the counter, Sans felt the pair of hips behind him bump against his. He blushed slightly from the physical contact, blue magic dusting his cheeks.
Papyrus repeated the action, guiding Sans' hand to smash the vegetables to mush. With each swing of the mallet, the younger's pelvis bumped into the other's. The sensation made Sans uncomfortable, but he didn't have the heart to say anything to his younger brother. Papyrus probably didn't even realise he was doing it, and drawing attention to it would probably just make the situation awkward and embarrassing for them both. Soon enough, the vegetable pile-turned-puddle on the counter no longer retained any hint of resemblance of its original, solid shapes.
Finally, Papyrus let go of Sans' hand and took a step back. "There! See Brother? With A Little Help, You Were Able To Completely Obliterate Those Vegetables!" He beamed.
"heh, i think most of the credit goes to you, bro." Sans was still blushing.
"Nonsense!" Papyrus put his hands on his hips, "All I Did Was Increase Your Strength! Of Course If You Weren't So Lazy I Wouldn't Have Had To, But As Always The Great Papyrus Is Here To Save The Day!"
"you sure did bro." Sans gave his brother a gentle smile. Papyrus was happy, so he could push his discomfort from the situation aside.
Soon after, Sans was dismissed from the kitchen. It seemed the shorter skeleton had 'helped' as much as possible and stated to become a trip hazard instead. Sans accepted his dismissal without a fight, eager to return to his spot on the couch until dinner was ready.
Dinner, as it turned out, was very burnt. Some of it was still recognisable as food though so it wasn't a complete failure. Sans however was used to his brothers 'unique' style of cooking, and had long since gotten used to eating without summoning his ecto-tongue. No tastebuds, no problem. As long as it made his younger brother happy, he'd always find a way to finish his plate.
________
Papyrus sat on the edge of his race car bed. Sans had already read him his bedtime story and departed to his own bedroom hours ago. He could hear the distant snores from his brother echoing through the thin wall that divided their rooms. As much as he hated his brother's tendency to oversleep, the sound of his peaceful snoring was soothing. It was soft and quiet, but just loud enough to be a comforting constant throughout the night. It reminded Papyrus that his brother was safe, relaxed and content, and the mental image of Sans' sleeping face warmed the younger skeleton's metaphorical heart.
Papyrus rarely slept more that three or four hours after his bedtime story before waking up to start the new day bright and early. Tonight though, he wasn't able to fall asleep in the first place. His mind reminisced over the earlier events that happened in the kitchen between the two skeletons. He had decided to push some boundaries - to test the waters to see how he felt about the physical contact, and how Sans would react as well. Delightfully, Sans did not reject his touch, but unfortunately did not lean into it either. What Papyrus didn't expect was for the feeling of his brother's hand under his, and the bumping of their pelvises together to be simply orgasmic. It had taken every inch of his self control to refrain from summoning his ecto-penis and grinding against his brother's behind.
Oh how he longed to bend the petite little skeleton over a table and pound into him like his life depended on it. Of course, he wouldn't be so crude in reality. If he were ever presented with the opportunity to be intimate with his brother, he would take it slow. He would try to make it romantic if possible, starting off with a tender kiss. He would trail his hands over his brother's fragile little body, feeling every bump of his ribs and notch in his spine through the fabric of his t-shirt. He would tenderly remove said article of clothing to massage each bone as he worked his way down the delicate vertebrae, making sure not a single inch is left unworshipped.
Papyrus felt his magic gathering at his groin as his mind got lost in the fantasy. He could imagine his hands finding their way to Sans' pelvis, caressing the bone and gently pulling off his shorts like unwrapping a beautifully wrapped gyftmas present. His hand found his erect ecto-cock as fantasy-him conjured a tongue to lap at the smaller skeleton's pearly white pubic bone. He could practically taste the magic as fantasy-Sans moaned his name and conjured an ecto-pussy, just for him.
It would be the same pretty blue as Sans' magic and Papyrus imagined it having a sweet yet sharp taste, like sour candy. Oh how he would lavish every moment with the pretty little pussy. He began to methodically pump his cock as fantasy-him slowly dragged a tongue along the sapphire folds of his love. Fantasy-Sans' head rolled back as he moaned Papyrus' name. He would eagerly roll his tongue over the nub of his brother's clit, dipping down occasionally to lap up the delicious juices. When it was ready, he would slip his tongue inside the tight little entrance pressing a lewd moan from his partner.
If he concentrated hard enough, he could almost hear the sweet sounds coming from fantasy-Sans' mouth. His hand pumped faster, as fantasy-Sans gripped the back of his skull, begging for more as the walls of his pussy clench around his tongue. Sans would moan his name as he bucks his hips into his face-
"S- Sans~!" Papyrus moaned, the rhythmic pump of his cock stuttering into inconsistent thrusts as raw magic exploded from his tip. He shuddered, bones rattling with the final strokes of his conjured appendage. As soon as he came, his hand clamped over his mouth to silence himself and his eyes darted over to the door. What if he woke Sans? He hadn't meant to make any noise at all.
Relief washed over him as he heard the continued snoring from the other room. He shamefully grabbed a tissue, cleaned up his mess and flopped backwards onto his bed. He couldn't go on like this. He needed Sans. He needed Sans to love him, to hold and caress him. He had to come up with a plan to woo Sans into his loving arms. It should hardly be a difficult task for The Great Papyrus.
With a determined glint in his eye, Papyrus got up and strode over to his bookcase. There, he reached behind "Puzzles For Beginners", a book he hardly needed since he was no beginner, where he had hidden a different book. His Official Dating Rulebook.
________
Undyne trudged through the bitter cold of Snowdin, her boots leaving deep tracks in the fresh snow. She hated Snowdin. It was too cold. She almost hated it as much as she hated Hotland, but not quite. If it weren't for the people in her life that lived in those locations, she'd never enter the forsaken areas of the underground. Besides Waterfall, the Capital was the only place worth visiting, but even that was too dry and too crowded for her liking.
The aquatic monster shivered and buried her face in her scarf. The earlier snowstorm had subsided but there was still a bitter wind clawing at her face. She donned her winter wear: thick fleece lined boots, a puffy hooded jacket, gloves and a wool scarf to protect her gills from freezing. She acquired her winter gear when she became friends with Papyrus, to help her fight the cold whenever she traversed the snow to visit her skeletal friend. Before Papyrus, she never ventured into the snowy village or forest that lay behind. Instead, she put her trust in the Snowdin Canine Unit, the pack of loyal dogs that patrolled the area on watch for humans.
Today, however, Undyne's reason visit to Snowdin wasn't to visit the trainee royal guard, although it did involve the tall skeleton. It had been a few days since their last conversation, and Undyne found out he didn't seek help his incestuous feelings like he originally promised. She hated to intrude on her friend's privacy like this, but she needed to make sure he followed through with his word and actually visited the healer in seek of therapy. Papyrus would be deep in Snowdin forest right now, probably checking on his brother to make sure he wasn't sleeping at his post again. This allowed Undyne plenty of time to complete her errand and return to Waterfall without worry of being spotted by Papyrus.
The captain rounded the corner to the Snowdin Healing Centre. It was a small cabin with an empty waiting area, a reception and a few consult rooms. Nothing fancy, but enough to keep up with demand within the small town. She climbed the shallow wooden ramp, stomping her feet along the way to shake the snow from her boots, and pushed open the door earning a little ting from the bell above. From behind the reception desk an elderly sheep monster popped their head up, their ears perking at the sound of the door. They were short, their shoulders just barely parallel with the top of the desk while standing. Their thick, fluffy wool was dyed pastel pink, with snow white roots growing out. A semi-circular pair of glasses framed their wrinkled eyes, which radiated warmth as they smiled to greet the tall fish monster. They wore a name badge over their breast displaying: 'Gertrude - Senior Healer'.
"Hello dearie, how may I help you?" They greeted.
Undyne trudged over to the desk, unconsciously bending slightly to get closer to the short sheep's level. "Official guard business. I need to know if a certain monster has visited here: Papyrus the Skeleton."
The sheep monster gave her a customer-service smile, "I'm sorry, I cannot allow anyone other than the patient and next of kin to access patient information."
Undyne grumbled. She reached into her pocket, retrieving her identification badge. One side displayed the Delta Rune, the other her name, title and identification number. She points to it impatiently, waving it in front of the fluffy monster's face. "Official. Guard. Business." She emphasises.
Gertrude's eyes narrowed as they studied the badge before returning to Undyne's gaze, unamused. "Ah, Captain Undyne. I apologise, I did not recognise you out of uniform. I'm afraid I still cannot release patient information. Not without consent or a warrant."
"Grgh-!" The fish monster's gloved hand clenched around the badge, frustration boiling in her chest. She straightens up and turns to leave, trip wasted, before the reception attendant spoke up again, voice softer this time.
"Dear, may I ask why you are requesting such information? I sincerely doubt it is part of a criminal investigation." Gertrude removed their glasses, letting them hang by the decorative string around their neck, "Is it perhaps not business if the guard, but business of a friend?"
Undyne was stunned briefly, but quickly shook it off. "Heh, you could say that." She turned back to face the smaller monster, dropping her 'official business' mask. "I think he needs help, he said he'd come here twice now but keeps lying. I just wanna make sure he's getting the help he needs..."
Gertrude smiled a different smile, not customer-service like before but kind and understanding. "I see. While the rules do not change, I suppose I could pull up his file on my computer. I cannot tell you anything but I cannot help it if you peer over my shoulder."
Gertrude then navigated the clunky looking desktop computer, pulling up the Papyrus' file. "Oh!" They feigned surprise, "I do believe I hear the kettle boiling! Please excuse me dear." They then disappeared through a side door, presumably leading to a staff area.
Undyne chuckled to herself, grateful for the elder monster's assistance. She angles herself to peer at the monitor displaying Papyrus' information. There was typical information like date of birth, gender, species and magic type. In a column to the side, there was a list of recent appointment dates. The latest one was... just over a year ago.
'So he lied again', Undyne thought to herself. She made a mental note to bring Gertrude a small token of thanks, some tea perhaps, and came up with a plan to make sure her friend got the help that he needed.

Sans was rummaging through his kitchen cupboards in search of a ketchup bottle he'd stashed away for later. His brother was out planning a new puzzle, which gave Sans some time to sneak his favourite treat. He'd hidden it from Papyrus' nagging but apparently hid it too well, so much so that he couldn't find the delicious bottled condiment now that he was craving it. He was certain he'd stashed it between two brands of sugary cereal that the taller skeleton refused to touch for fear of it rotting his teeth, and yet there was nothing but dust and empty air where the glorious red substance should be.
His search was interrupted by a knock at the door. Strange, he wasn't expecting guests. It better not be the bailiff here for his distraint. Hesitantly, Sans opened the door. He was surprised to see Undyne standing there.
"oh, heya 'Dyne. Paps ain't here right now." The sentry shrugged.
"I'm not here for him..." Undyne looked uncomfortable. She couldn't be here on official business - she wasn't wearing her armour, donning casual winterwear instead - but why would she want to see Sans outside of work?
Sans raised a brow but stepped side, gesturing with a nod into the house, "uh, ok. come in, i guess."
Undyne shook the snow from herself before entering the skeleton residence. She stood awkwardly in the living room, seemingly unsure if she should stand or sit. Sans made the decision for her, leading her into the kitchen where they both sat at the table. Sans leaned his elbows on the table top, taking a casual stance to try to release some of the obvious tension in the fish monster's expression.
"how can i help?" Sans winked, displaying his signature grin.
"Uhh, this is gonna be hard to explain..." Undyne began. Sans gave her an encouraging nod, urging her to continue. "It's about Papyrus."
Sans sat up at that. "Pap? what about him?" He tried to restrain his concerned frown. He already wasn't a fan of the fake 'training' sessions Undyne gave his brother, filling him with false hope of achieving his dream. If the captain had done something more to get herself on Sans' bad side... well she'd be in for one heck of a disapproving glare.
Undyne was sweating, and it didn't seem to be because she hadn't taken her jacket off yet. "He recently... confessed some things to me. Disturbing things. He promised be he'd go get help and go to therapy but he hasn't. He even lied to me about it. I'm really worried about him, especially now that I know for certain he is avoiding getting help."
Sans finally released his frown. "Undyne, you're makin' it sound like Pap's a secret psychopath or somethin'." He chuckled dryly.
Undyne cringed, "Or something..." She muttered under her breath. She took a deep inhale before continuing, "Papyrus told me he has... romantic feelings... for you."
Sans heard a record scratch in his head as his expression stuttered into complete shock, eye lights dissipating into nothing. "...what?" He asked, spitting out the 'T'.
Undyne shuffled her gaze nervously, "Y- you heard me."
Sans' brows furrowed in disapproval, eye lights still extinguished. "Undyne, that's not a funny thing to joke about."
Undyne stood up suddenly, balling her fists in frustration. "Do you really think I'd make a joke like this, Sans?! I'm not sick!"
The judge stood in response. His expression fell neutral, eye lights returning. "i believe you've overstayed your welcome, Undyne, but feel free to visit any time you don't want to slander my brother." He started up at the fish monster, refusing to let his expression be read.
Undyne huffed and trudged towards the door. She paused before leaving, wanting to get one last word in. "Believe me or don't, I just want what's best for Papyrus. When you're ready to except it, I'll help you get that for him."
And with that, she left the skeleton with his thoughts.
