This first part of the story takes place first after The Winter Soldier Movie. The second part happens after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV show.
None of this is canon, I borrowed some Marvel characters names, changed others, used some of that Universe background to keep the story going, and made up other stuff entirely.
The original idea came from Isaiah's nurse in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV show, I thought it would be interesting to explore the idea of a nurse taking pity on a dying super soldier.
This is also part of the Unexpected Letter Serie, as I wrote 2 very different stories based on 1 very similar paragraph in the very last chapter of each story. The characters and timelines are different for each story, but there are a lot of common plots and ideas. I wonder if you can find them?
You can read the stories in any order you like, just keep part 3 for after reading the actual stories.
Caution: This story contains pretty much every trigger warning under the sun. It’s not intended for minors.
I tried to throw some romance in the mix to make it easier to read, as the original draft was really dark, but I am not great at writing romantic scenes, so feel free to use your imagination.
English is not my mother tongue, please forgive the mistakes.
I am hoping to start publishing this before the release of the new movies, and it will likely absolutely not fit with the new material. (yeah no, definitively did not release this part in time. Part one, Running from our shadows, started to be published a bit before A brave new world I think, but I published the last chapter after Thunderbolts finished its theater run. Both movies were great! I like that I write stories so far off from the actual material, that way I don’t self-spoil myself.)
