1x1x1x1 wasn’t having the best day. They’d woken up in the middle of the night, stubbed their toe getting out of bed, thought about Shedletsky, lost their sword, thought about Shedletsky, and did they mention thinking about Shedletsky? What made it worse was the fact that they hadn’t won a round in AGES. At this point, everyone was making fun of them. Killers, survivors and all.
Urgh, Shedletsky. Their creator, and the person they despise most. Stupid, taunting face, sword that was just so precious to him, and the greasy, disgusting bucket of chicken he’d eat each round.
They should get ready, after all, if they were correct, it would be their turn to crush the survivors this round. And this time? They were going to crush them. Each and every one of those stupid mosquitoes.
A loud crash comes from the kitchen. C00LK1D was making a mess AGAIN. They really did not have the willpower to deal with a hyperactive child in the morning, better call N0L1 to deal with him.
“C00LK1D, stop fussing around. I’m too tired to deal with you today,” They call out.
“C00LK1D…?” A voice replies that is definitely not the child’s.
They look into the kitchen to see a dark figure with tentacles wearing what seems to be a witch hat. Definitely not C00LK1D. Unless of course, they were hallucinating and that was in fact C00LK1D.
“Are you alright…?”
1x blinks. Oh yea, the figure.
“Yes, I’m fine. Who are you?”
“My name is Azure. Where is this? I-I don’t seem to know where I am,”
Ah, they’re new. Well, if they weren’t new, they would probably know where this was.
“Name’s 1x1x1x1. This seems to be some sort of eternal prison, but honestly, for as long as I’ve been here, I don’t know myself.”
Azure reaches out to grab something with a tentacle. Did they mention he had tentacles? Seems like an important thing to miss. He also has a zipper over his mouth, just like theirs.
“H1 GUYS!”
Oh. C00LK1D had woken up. The child skipped to the kitchen table, taking a seat.
“WH0 ARE Y0U?” He says bluntly, staring at Azure.
“Uh, I’m Azure…? I’m new here.”
While the two chatter in the back, 1x grabs a box of cereal from the cupboard, only to be greeted by a couple of crumbs. How fun.
The round was starting soon, and lo and behold, they were not killer.
Maybe they needed to chill today. Relax a little. So, why not go to the dock? Couldn’t hurt, and they’d get some much needed alone time away from the others.
They settle down, watching the waves lap at the shore. Mind-numbing boredom. Well, at least they could think? Yea, that sounded okay.
Halfway through a rather pleasant thought train of all the ways 1x could kill or torture Shedletsky, they were inevitably disrupted.
Azure sits next to them, leaving a comfortable enough space between them. He doesn’t say a word, but looks out at the lake separating them from the survivors.
“How did you get here? As in, what was life for you before you were sent here?”
1x just stares. What was life before…? Oh. Oh yea.
“I was a failed creation of one of the admins. I ran away, and I tried to take them down. My creator defeated me.”
Azure just stares at them for a long, uncomfortable moment before nodding and continuing.
“I was in a church of the Spawn. I was sacrificed by my… partner. They killed me for a second life. I doubt they regret it, really. They never had much remorse either way.”
1x doesn’t recall knowing anything of the Spawn God, perhaps they were a lesser known one?
“Do you hate that partner of yours?”
Azure doesn’t speak. Is he thinking? Did he not hear them?
“Yes… and no. I hate them and… for some reason… I want to go back. I miss them and I hate that.”
“Odd.”
They sit in silence for a bit.
1x doesn’t know what they think of Azure, but whatever it is, they don’t hate them.
Quite the opposite, they think.
