Frozen: Ties of Destiny Vol 2

Summary:

Calm doesn't last forever... especially when Anna insists on taking Elsa on new adventures that combine training, secrets, and, of course, a certain amount of mischief. Amid magical landscapes and unexpected trials, the bonds between them become more intense, clearer... and also harder to hide.
Volume 2 brings moments to laugh, others to hold your breath, and several that will make even the Snow Queen blush. Because if one thing is clear, it's that destiny isn't written only with ice and duty, but also with sparks of fire, glances that speak volumes, and silences that confirm everything.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: A New Beginning

Chapter Text

The cold north wind continued to blow harshly over the cliff, but in the hearts of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Honeymaren, there was a new sense of relief. They had accomplished their mission: the Luna Crystal was now deep within the Northern Ocean, where its magic would be forever contained. Or so they hoped.

Elsa gazed toward the horizon, where the ocean met the sky, an endless line that seemed to promise new opportunities. She felt a strange mix of tranquility and anticipation; although they had overcome this challenge, something inside told her their journey wasn't over yet.

—I think we made it,— Elsa finally said, breaking the silence.
—The crystal is out of danger, and with luck, the world will be too.—

Anna, who had been staring out at the sea with a thoughtful expression, turned to Elsa with a satisfied smile.

—We did it!— she said enthusiastically.
—I knew we could do it, Elsa. As long as we're together, we can do anything.—

Kristoff, who had been looking after Sven and preparing for the return, nodded with a smile.

—I'm proud of all of us,— Kristoff added. —It was a tough journey, but I wouldn't trade this moment for anything. It was good to be here with you.—

Honeymaren, who had been silent since the crystal was thrown into the ocean, took a step forward. She still felt torn inside, but now she also felt part of something bigger than her own feelings.

—I know I've behaved in a... complicated way,— Honeymaren admitted, looking from Elsa to Anna.
—But I want to thank you for letting me accompany you. I've learned a lot from this trip, and I know I still have a lot to understand. I'm sorry if I caused any discomfort.—

Elsa, always understanding, smiled softly.

—We all have our own challenges, Honeymaren. The important thing is that you were here and helped when we needed it,—
Elsa said gently.

Anna, though still somewhat suspicious, realized that Honeymaren was speaking sincerely. She decided to put her jealousy aside, at least for the moment.

—Thank you, Honeymaren,— Anna said with a friendly smile.
—I appreciate your honesty. And, well, we're all on this journey together.—

Honeymaren nodded, relieved. She knew she had to earn the sisters' trust again, but she was grateful for this opportunity.

With their mission accomplished, the group began preparing for the return journey. They decided to camp one last night on the coast before heading back to Northuldra and, eventually, Arendelle. As they set up camp, they lit a fire to warm themselves in the cold northern night.

The sky was clear, and the stars shone like tiny jewels scattered across the vastness. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks provided a soft, steady melody, filling the atmosphere with a unique peace.

—It's beautiful here,— Kristoff commented, gazing at the starry sky.
—Sometimes I forget how vast the world is.—

Elsa nodded, her blue eyes reflecting the stars.

—It's easy to forget when we're caught up in our own worries,— Elsa said.
—But in moments like these, we can remember how small we are compared to everything around us.—

Anna approached Elsa, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

—And yet, we also know how important the people around us are,— Anna added.
—Those bonds, that love, are what makes us strong.—

Honeymaren, hearing these words, felt a pang of regret and, at the same time, hope. Perhaps she still had a chance to make amends for what she had tried to do, to find a place where she could belong, not as a rival, but as a friend.

The night continued, filled with laughter and conversation under the starry sky. Anna shared funny stories of her past adventures, Kristoff recounted anecdotes about his life in the mountains with Sven, and Elsa, for the first time in a long time, felt completely free from the burdens of her power.

Finally, they settled down to sleep, knowing that dawn would bring the return journey. However, before closing her eyes, Elsa felt the need to thank Anna for everything they had shared.

—Anna...— Elsa whispered, turning to her sister as they settled by the campfire,
—thank you for always being by my side. I don't know what I would have done without you.—

Anna smiled, her face illuminated by the glow of the flames.

—I'll always be here, Elsa. No matter what happens, we'll always be together.—

Elsa smiled, feeling more at peace than ever.

—Together,—
Elsa repeated softly.

And with that promise in their hearts, they closed their eyes, feeling the warmth of the campfire and the comfort of the closeness of those they loved. Although their mission was over, they knew that their adventure together, as always, had just begun.
