The Akai Brothers and the Camp Hollow Midnight

Summary:

The adults has arrived at the private camp to pick their kids but they notices the kids and Scooby aren't there, they searches for them and find the journal whose the suriviors wrote to learn what happened in the weeks ago. One big problem... will they survive together or... will they face the terror?

Chapter 1: Intro & The Entrance of the Akai Brothers and others

Greetings, I am a writer of this Multiple Crossovers and Horro AU fanfic; The Akai Brothers and the Camp Hollow Midnight.

Before I will explain about this fanfic, I wrote this fanfic is inspired from Total Drama: Island of the Slaughtered who Eavee-ry made and I love it. (Don't ask me why I love it). 

Now about my own fanfic; In my AU where they do not have powers, Ultimatrix nor superheroes but instead they have normal lives (Mystery Inc can be existed), my favorite TV shows and Comics where all of the teens, Damian and Scooby gone to the private camp to learn and have fun but turn out it's not well for them. 

About Sugie in my AU, she's fourteen and the newest member of the Mystery Inc also join her brother to learn new things to do as a detective. She have her brother's hair and eye color, her hair is long but braided, she wears a Mystery Inc themed jacket over a green shirt with brown sleeves, blue flare jeans and black boots. 

Beware of my AU; body gore, blood, weapons, verbal abuse (It's Katsuki) and more (I can't count them).

Now the characters are same age as teengers in my AU expect Damian (he's 9). 

Oh I forget to add, Barbara can walk without getting shot and paralyzed also she's a big sister figure.

Two weeks ago.

It was a nice afternoon with sun and clouds, the birds were chirping while flying as the sounds of laughing and chatting from the teens. The teens and Damian had fun activities like hiking, fishing or sitting on the dock, reading books, playing soccer or relaxing. They were having fun as if it was normal. 

Sugie and Scooby were sitting together and the youngest Rogers leaned her back against the tree as if they needed to stay under the shade from the sun, so peacefully as they’re so relaxed.

They heard the rustling and they turned to see Masumi, Shinichi, Ben, Izuku and Peter approaching them with greeting smiles, Sugie waved her hand, “Oh like, hey guys how’re you doing?”

“We’re good, we’re just playing soccer with Shinichi, he’s such a good player.” Ben smiled, Izuku nodded, “And I learnt how to juggle a soccer ball with one foot with Ben-san and Shinichi-san, I did it!” 

“You should try.” Shinichi smiled, “I will teach you how to juggle a soccer ball, it’s easy.”

“I agree with him.” Ben agreed. 

“Sure I love to but we need to wait for my brother.” 

Peter noticed Shaggy wasn’t here with them and asked her with a curious look, “Where’s Shaggy?”

“Oh. Shaggy has gone to the cafeteria to get cool drinks for us, Fred and Daphne are hiking with others and Velma is reading her favorite book, so Scooby and I are relaxing.” She soon frowned with a huff, “I wondered how long he’s been in the cafeteria, I'm worried about him.”

Scooby rested his chin on her lap to comfort her. 

“Hmmm…” Shinichi crossed his arms, a curious look with furrowed eyebrows on his face, “If I recall it correctly, your brother loves to eat the food, is that right?”

“Yeah|Reah.” Both Sugie and Scooby said in unison with nods, Ben frowned, “He better not eat all of the food, we need food too.” 

“Should we go with you?” Sugie asked them, Masumi shook her head, “You two need to relax and we’ll bring your brother for you.”

“Are you sure?” She raised her eyebrows, Masumi half bent her knees and gave her a ruffle if she’s a big sister to her, “We’ll make sure to check on him if he-”

Before she could finish her sentence, everyone jolted with widened eyes when the loud screams echoed and quickly turned their heads to where the loud scream came from the cafeteria. 

“What’s just going on…?” Sugie asked with widened eyes and looks concerned, Masumi, Shinichi and Ben had no time to stand there and ran as fast as they could, leaving others to Sugie and Scooby who were wondering what just happened but almost concerned about the scream came from the cafeteria-  

Then it went black out.

A few days before the Halloween

It is a cold evening, the sky is covering with sky and blocking the sun’s light and the silence zooms through the trees as if it is so quiet, at the moment the echoes of vrooms from the cars, a RV and a van driving through the forest and on the trail that lead them to.

When the vehicles drive past the trees, there is a person behind the tree and watching the vehicles before pulling back to hide.

As soon as the cars, a RV and a van arrived and parked where the Mystery Machine parked. All of the cars and a van open the doors, the drivers and passengers step out of them and wait for others to step out until they completely step out and close the doors. 

Shuichi, Shukichi, Yusaku, Kogoro, Bruce, Dick, Barbara, Tony, Max, Toshinori and Enji are standing and staring at the sign, it’s written the name of the camp; Camp Hollow Midnight.

“Finally we made it from our hotel to this campsite…. It was almost exhausting." Kogoro huffs, nearly tried but still making it anyway and Max agrees, “Yea, we drove about a few hours. It’s not easy.” 

“Unless we made it anyway and we’re here to check the kids, first we need to ask the camp counselors if we need to sleep for a night. We need to take a rest from a long drive.” Toshinori says, all of everyone hears him and nods in agreement before Shuichi looks to check the sky, soon the sky is getting darker as Shukichi says while standing with him, “I think we better go before the night is coming soon.” 

“That’s why we bring our flashlights so we need to watch our steps or if you find our sister, one of these kids or a dog.” Shuichi shows him his own flashlight, his brother nods, “Indeed.”

Everyone starts walking on the clear trail and passing the sign together. When they are walking away, it is a person who is from behind the tree while a hand is holding an axe and a green eye is glowing, watching them for a few seconds before pulls back to hide from them. 

Chapter 2: One Night Part 1.

A few walking later everyone is walking together on the clear trail while the sky is getting darker and are going away from the vehicles while holding their flashlights and already lights on, making rustling when they walk on the ground with their feet, they know where the camp counselors' office and cabin, cabins and the cafeteria are. 

Thankfully the trail is not too long to walk and they make it on the Camp Hollow Midnight campsite, they can see the camp counselors' cabin in the middle of the girls' and boys cabins, the cafeteria is a little far away from the cabins. But… 

Everyone can see how the campsite is so eerily quiet and almost no one lives there, Masaru breaks the silence, "It is so terribly quiet."

"That's strange." Dick furrows his eyebrows and frowns, "Look like everyone isn't here."

“And the lights from all of the office, the cabins and the cafeteria are out.” Barbara mentions, the lights are out from all of the office, the cabins and the cafeteria, and Shuichi tells them what they will do, "We need to check if the Hayes siblings, the camp counselors are in their office and cabin, if they're here we will ask them where are the kids and the Mystery Inc gone. But if they're not here in their office and cabin, we will have to search for the kids and the Mystery Inc in the girls' and boys' cabins."

Everyone nods before they walk to the camp counselors' office and cabin together, hoping if he just said it would happen or not happen. 

They approach the camp counselors’ office and cabin door, Shuichi is the first to act normal and knocks the door, “Hello? It’s us, the families of those kids. We’re here for them to take them and go home.” 

Waiting patiently and hearing if one of the camp counselors will walk with footsteps and will open the door, so quiet. 

The FBI agent soon knocks it again but with a loud tone, “Hello?”

Knocking the door loud as he can, making the parents or sibling figures to feel that something is not so right.

Shuichi has no choice but to reach and place on the knob, twisting it but… he pulls the door and it is opened. He says, “It’s opened….”

Everyone looks surprised also puzzled that the door is opened, watching the eldest Akai turns to others and tells them, "Stay here, I'll go check inside." 

The FBI agent do his job to enter the office and cabin without an permission but have to check if anyone is there or not, leaving them to watch and wait for him.

So quieter than before, everyone is waiting for him and Shukichi looks worried for him but knows his brother will come out soon or few mintues later.  

A few moment Shuichi come out of the camp counselors' office and cabin, frown in disappointed and shakes his head, "The Hayes siblings are not there." 

Everyone can see him, telling them that the Hayes siblings aren't inside and now know, Enji asks him, “Should we search for them?” 

He turns to the father of Shoto who asks him, he knows it’s time to search for them and turns around, telling them as a signal, “Check in the cabins where the kids and Mystery Inc used to, if the doors are unlocked or locked, if the doors are locked, kick them open. But if you don't see them, out and gather ourselves together.”

It is a signal and they run to the cabins as quickly as they can, hoping their kids, Mystery Inc and Scooby will be alright. First they approach the girls’ and boys’ cabins, hoping if the doors are unlocked or locked, their hands reach and place on the knobs at the same time, twisting them.It is strange but for them they are perplexed that the doors from the girls’ and boys’ cabins are open as they pulls the doors, no time to stand like that as Shuichi and others suddenly enter the cabins without hesitation, knowing where their kids’ rooms are.

But…. as Shuichi says about the kids, Mystery Inc and Scooby if they are not there.... he eariler says.... is true.

Inside the girls' cabin the Akai brothers, Barbara, Toshinori and Kogoro are walk through the hallway with the doors as they knows where the girls' rooms that the female campers used to, they reaches and grips the knobs, twisting it and let a push, the doors are opening, on the same time they beam the lights to check inside the bedrooms.... The girls aren't inside the bedrooms.

In the boys cabins all of the fathers or brother figure are also check inside the bedrooms, the boys aren't inside the bedrooms either.   

They see only the belongings left in the rooms as they enters inside the bedrooms, checking the bathrooms or the closets, the kids, Mystery Inc and Scooby aren't there. They frowns and are wondering, where are their kids and the Mystery Inc?

After they find out the kids and Mystery Inc aren’t there and suddenly get out of the cabins and gather together, informing each other that they’re not there in the cabins. Max says, “If the Hayes siblings, our kids and Mystery Inc aren’t there in the cabins… Where have they gone?”

The words from Max make them so quiet while staring at him then each other. 

“If they’re not in these cabins.....” Yusaku speaks, using his flashlight with a light and turns around to point at the cafeteria before adding, “We should check the cafeteria.”

Everyone turns their heads where he points at the cafeteria, the cafeteria is almost a few distance away from the cabins. He’s right, they don’t check inside the cafeteria yet. They possibly think or believe the Hayes siblings, their kids and Mystery Inc are inside the cafeteria, yet Shukichi gently says, “We’re not sure if they are in the cafeteria but… I sensed something’s not right from inside the cafeteria…”

I believe you can sense it, Shukichi.

So eerily quietly zooming through the air, Shuichi soon shows a determined look on his face and steps in, hopefully the Hayes siblings, Masumi and others are in the cafeteria and are safe, “We’ll check if the Hayes siblings, Masumi, the kids and Mystery inc are in the cafeteria. Even if they’re not there, we will keep looking tomorrow morning.”

They stare at him without saying anything but soon everyone starts walking and heading for the cafeteria, hoping their beloved kids, the Mystery Inc and Scooby are there in the cafeteria. 

However…. They are not aware that they have been watched from the tree trunk, the shadow figure is popping their head out from the tree with the red blood eyes glowing, a hand with metal spike-like claw fingers placed on the tree trunk, watching them like a predator who watches their prey, then let out a quietly and gently growling before moving the hand slowly from the tree trunk and pulling back slowly to keep hiding themselves from the Akai brothers’ and others' sights.

Before I will write the next chapter, I will explain to you about the names of camp counselors and the Camp Hollow Midnight (I'll spoil you about them so you will know who they are.) 

I will tell you about the Camp Hollow Midnight. The Camp Hollow Midnight is an autumn camp and is for kids and teens who need a break from everything like the internet, video games or more so they could learn and have fun with camp activities like hiking, fishing or more.   

You will read more about Camp Hollow Midnight that has a lake, trails and more when I will write later.

Now about the Hayes siblings; the Hayes siblings’ names, genders and ages are revealed now.

Brair, the 36 years old man and the leader of the Camp Hollow Midnight, has black hair with green eyes. He's the camp leader of the Camp Hollow Midnight. 

Ivy, the 32 years old lady and the co leader, her hair is brown and eyes are blue. 

River, the 27 years old man, his hair is black and eyes are blue.

Everest, the 25 years old man and his hair is brown and his eyes are green. 

Oaklynn and Oakley, the 23 years old twin siblings, Oaklynn’s hair is brown and she has green on left and blue on left eyes. Oakley’s hair is black but his eyes are opposite to his older twin sister’s eye colors. 

Their uniforms for the Camp Hollow Midnight are the dark gray shirts with short or long sleeves, navy blue pants with waterproof black or dark brown boots.

Tell you about them; The Hayes siblings who owned the private camp which their ancestors are the owners of the Hollow Midnight forest and passing to the Hayes siblings.

The Hayes siblings are the original characters also the Camp Hollow Midnight is an fictional camp I made, just make sure you need to know about the camp and the Hayes siblings, that’s all. 

One thing; soon it will be terror before your own eyes when you read the next chapter soon.    

Chapter 3: One Night Part 2: Ravenous Shaggy

After the Akai brothers and others find out that the Hayes siblings, their kids, Mystery Inc and Scooby aren’t in the cabins and just head for the cafeteria that they haven't checked yet so they head together to the cafeteria. 

They walk to the cafeteria together as the rustling they walk on the ground, hearing the sounds are no longer alive, silent as death.

“This campsite is so quieter like last time we dropped Cass and Jay two weeks ago.” Dick comments, walking as they walk on the stairs then on the porch, soon standing for a little while also staring at the doors for a few moments without saying anything.

Shuichi spots Shukichi looking deeply uneasy with his eyes widened, nearly sweats as the FBI agent gently places on the shogi player and makes the middle Akai to blink his eyes and turns his head to him who just check him with calm and concerned look on his face, “Are you ok?”

“I…” Shukichi places his hand on his chest where his heart, still frowning in uneasiness, says, “I-I don’t know but I can feel it from inside the cafeteria when we approach, it is closer than earlier that I said that I felt something’s not right…”

Everyone shares a disturbed look after hearing him, the shogi player takes a little courage and gives his brother a nod, Shuichi nods back before turning to the doors, takes a step and places his palms and grips on the knobs to let out a pull, the doors are opened with lowkey creaks. 

Everyone is surprised that the doors from the cafeteria can open too, so quiet and calm but making them wonder why all of the cabins’ and cafeteria’s doors can open during the night. Shuichi and Shukichi enter first then others enter and behind the Akai brothers. 

Inside the cafeteria the quiet tapping on the floor from everyone walks, Shuichi turns and finds a light switch and hopefully if it works or not as he switches the light switch with a click. 

Unfortunately the lights from the ceiling won’t turn on as everyone can see the lights won’t turn on, wondering why the lights from all cabins and this cafeteria are not working. That’s very eerily strange.   

Everyone still holding their own flashlights to take a look and check if the kids, Mystery Inc and Scooby are there while walking through the tables with chairs, they have to watch themselves to prevent bumping them-

A long creak echoes and everyone quickly halts and turns, eyes fixated on the moving door from the kitchen, slowly opening as soon as it is now fully opened. Leaving them to bewildered looks on their faces and standing there without saying anything or moving an inch, can’t believe what they just see. 

Everyone is unsure how to enter the kitchen and share a look as if they are encouraging each other or without saying words, so it is quieter inside the cafeteria.

“Stay here, we’ll check inside the kitchen. Shukichi, Yusaku-kun and Kogoro-kun, come with me. Keep your eyes open and keep guard up.” Shuichi orders, and he, Shukichi, Yusaku and Kogoro walk and also act as a FBI agent and the detectives, their feet walk with the sound of tapping but still not saying any words, looks serious but uneasiness. 

Together they walk to the door that just opened very slowly and very cautiously, their hearts beating while keeping their guard on and keeping their eyes open. They never know if they would get ambushed or-

They enter the kitchen with a few steps, unexpectedly they catch their eyes and beam the lights, flinch and widen their eyes in terror-struck when they see a person is sitting on the floor and leaning on the wall, about a few feet away from the four adults.

A teen boy with green shirt and brown pants with black shoes, his head leaning on the wall, his right ear has cut half, showing his lips has ripped off, his blood stained teeth have been exposed also his throat is slitted so the dried blood has stained his shirt, yet on middle of his chest has cut open and his rib cage has exposed. 

It’s Shaggy Rogers. 

The four men can’t believe they find a member of the Mystery Inc, dead in the kitchen. 

So after they find Shaggy dead in the kitchen, the FBI agent and the detectives are in the kitchen and Shukichi is already out of the kitchen, and tells the adults about the death of Shaggy Rogers. 

All of the parents, Dick and Barbara are pale with widened eyes, Dick says while he’s so shocked, “Shaggy is dead?!” 

“Yes.” The shogi player nods, frowning as he adds, “My brother wants you to stay away from the kitchen, the kitchen is now a crime scene. When they finish investigating, they will come and tell you.”

All of the adults share a deep disturbed look at each other, Shukichi crosses his arms while looking down while can hear the talking from everyone and places his hand on his own chest where his heart, thinking with a wondering look on his face, That’s strange, as we walked to this cafeteria, I can sense it’s getting stronger and stronger. We’re in the cafeteria and I sensed it’s more stronger when we walked to the kitchen, then we found Shaggy dead in the cafeteria, I suddenly sensed it was now…. nothingness. What’s going on?

The echo of tapping on the floor from Shuichi, Kogoro and Yusaku just leave the kitchen, Shuichi tells them, “We’re finished investigating the corpse of Shaggy Rogers, the member of the Mystery Inc. As we believe he was murdered by a murderer.”

“Murdered?!” Some of them gasp and are shocked, how a member of the Mystery Inc got murdered by a murderer??

“But it’s more, we found the cut marks on his arms.” Yusaku starts explaining, “He possibly fought the murderer with a knife and he shielded his arms before he was pushed against the wall and gave him a death blow by slitting his throat. We think it’s two weeks ago.”

Everyone starts talking. 

“Oh god…” 

“Poor young Shaggy.”

“So he was ambushed and got murdered.”

“That’s terrible…”

"Who did a terrible thing to him?"

“Wait… if Shaggy got murdered…” Tony says before looking both tense and worried, “What about our kids and the Mystery Inc?”

As soon as everyone turns and stare at him for a moment, soon they pale in realization, without warning the two doors that leave opened quickly closed with loud slam, the loud slam startles all of them and everyone whirls sharply and fix their eyes on the closed doors while holding their flashlights with their lights pointed at also are alarmed as Enji shouts, “What the hell was that?!”

“Did the doors close themselves?” Dick wonders, Kogoro walks and places the flashlight on the table with the light on before heading for the doors, places his own hands on the door handles, ready to pull them open but instead he widens his eyes and quickly halts, “What?”

He tries to open the doors with all of his strength with loud clicking, he grits his teeth in frustration as he releases the door handles and takes a few steps backward, “They’re locked.”

“That’s not possible…” Max says, as the detective adds to say before turning around and walks to take his flashlight, “We need to find things to open…”

He soon uses his flashlight, in an instant catches his eyes and widens in horror and his heart sinks, freezing and unable to move an inch and drops his flashlight on the floor with a thud.

Everyone sees he is staring at them, they track his gaze and turn around and suddenly pale like Kogoro just but doesn't drop instead lowering their flashlights down slowly. 

Shuichi, Shukichi and Yusaku are puzzled and unaware that a person just stands behind them, but they can see their expressions and their gazes, they slowly turn around and slowly widen their eyes as Shukichi drops his jaw. 

A teenager boy who is standing and posing like Springtrap from FNAF 3, staring at them with dead eyes, almost approaches Shuichi, Shukichi and Yusaku. It’s Shaggy. Everyone is so quiet as to stare at him in bloody horror, they freeze like mannequins and cannot move an inch.

Shaggy then turns to Shuichi and Shukichi, scanning them before widening his eyes as if he is surprised, tilting his head, his eyes soften and his voice sounds hoarse but soft, “Like…. Is it really you? Shuichi and Shukichi?”
