Ever since that visit to Atlantica on his first Keyblade adventure; Sora couldn't stop himself from falling in love with Ariel the mermaid Princess. It was more than requited and they had to keep it a secret from the others such as Donald who kept insisting that the worlds stay seperate and as clueless about eachother as possible.
However Ariel was fun, adventurous like him, kind, sweet and beautiful. It may have been years when Sora was 19 when they last got to see eachother but they always cherised their time.
Sora was now in his early adulthood and was now sent on a mission to Ariel's world and he figure he had time to spend meeting up with Ariel again. He had some dread that it had been years and Ariel would have decided that he wasn't coming back and moved on. Would she be angry that he didn't make more of an effort to come and visit?
He made his way to the seaside town where Ariel set up her home in now that she she had become a human; a a house next to the beach. Sora made his way to said beach and was stunned to see a beautiful redheaded woman in a purple bikini swimming.
The woman got out and noticed Sora; recognising him and went up to him. "Wait... Ariel?" Sora asked as Ariel embraced him and he was red in the cheek, not caring about how wet his clothes were getting.
"What's the matter? I am actually more dressed than when we first met, you could say!" Ariel joked and Sora gave a small smile in response.
"Does this mean we are still together... I was scared because of how long it took me to come back..." Sora asked and Ariel shrugged her shoulders.
"Well I sure hope we are considering all the times I had to firmly put down wannabe suitors with flowers coming to my door. Plus you can expect an earful but I am glad you are back... Wait... I have someone you have to meet!" Ariel said going to a seat to grab a towel to dry herself and lent it to Sora to dry off his clothes as best as he can.
Ariel then showed him to her house and she called out "Melody; can you come here please sweetie?" Then came in a little brown haired girl and Sora greeted her with a warm smile wondering who this could be. "Melody; you know how I promised your father would come home one day? That day is today." Ariel said and the girl looked like she could hardly believe it. Sora was open mouthed and Ariel nodded to the both of them as Melody then embraced Sora.
"Mum says you are a hero like in storybooks; fighting Darkness far away!" Melody excitedly said and Sora was taking in the fact that he had a daughter for all these years without knowing it. All the years he could have spent.
Sora then returned the embraced; "You can be sure that I want to be part of your world. Keyblade duties will not be keeping me away from you two often." Sora swore to Ariel who was pleased with that. "Man... I can't let Donald find out about this..." Sora realised as Ariel giggled.
Ariel had gone to her bedroom to fully get dried and changed into her normal clothes; excited that at long last her boyfriend Sora had returned and he fully intended to be the father to the daughter that he just found out that he had. Ariel did plan on playfully letting him have it for how long he was gone without a message but she was just glad to be back.
Now dressed she went back to the main room and smiled as Sora was wasting no time in getting to know Melody; asking what were her interests, favourite activities and friends. Melody herself was badgering Sora asking about his adventures; her father being the hero of the stories that Ariel had read to her before bed.
"Okay you two; I know you two have a lot of questions but you can give eachother some space." Ariel laughed as she sat down on a seat.
"Hey how is everyone back in Atlantica?" Sora decided to ask and Ariel laughed.
"Flounder is doing great and so is my family... But my sisters and father... They will want to let you have it for being gone so long and if they find out that you are here... They will want to set up a wedding to take place within the hour and I would get tossed a dress to change into." Ariel explained and Sora looked freaked out.
"...Not surprising... How is the neighbourhood here?" Sora asked and Ariel sighed shaking her head.
"Good and all but it gets annoying... People like to think that you walked out on us and Melody was the product of a youthful fling... I hear whispers of being a young single mother." Ariel explained and Sora was open mouthed and muttered sorry about not being able to help her with as well as being upset that she was going through this. "I said earlier about I have to deal with wannabe suitors: basically guys with flowers coming to my door offering to take me as their wife and to provide Melody with a father figure. Sometimes older guys or women wanting to discuss offering their sons to me." Ariel continued to explain and Sora grimaced.
"Don't worry Sora; even if I wasn't certain you would come back one day... No one was someone I would be interested in." Ariel assured him taking his hand and went near his ear. "Doesn't stop the annoying whistles and cat calls; Especially when I am at the beach. I have this one piece when I am spending the beach time with Melody so she doesn't have to see me being hit on wearing that bikini..." Ariel whispered into his ear and Sora looked annoyed.
"Sorry that you have to go through all this..." Sora told her and Ariel then smiled.
"I have nothing to worry about now; I have my boyfriend here to set them straight!" Ariel said turning into a smirk as she looked at him flirtingly.
"Please no; my friends say that watching parents kiss is gross!" Melody groaned and the parents then giggled in response.
"How about we play our first game together as a family?" Sora asked and Melody cheered going to get her board games. "You sure you made the right choice in waiting for me? There are plenty of fish in the sea they say..." Sora joked and Ariel glared as she playfully slapped him on the arm for his stupid joke.
