Chapter Text
Repetitive, isn’t it? The same thing every time. 1x1x1x1 feels himself load into this sick and twisted game he had used to enjoy. The sword rested on his shoulder felt heavier than usual, and the strength to move had evaporated the moment he got back into this hellish place.
Which map was it again.. Ah. Yorick’s Resting Place, or well.. Telamon’s manor. It’s like whoever was behind this wanted him to suffer. Has he ALWAYS got to be reminded of the one who wronged him so? 1x1x1x1 closed his eyes. The timer ticked. The longer he stood here, the more curious the survivors get, and they start looking. But his eyes stayed shut a little longer, hoping the dizziness ceased.
1x1x1x1 felt cold. It’s not a rare occurrence, he was always rather cold, both emotionally and physically. Though today felt colder. A random… day. He long since forgot which day it was. Could be monday. Maybe thursday. Or maybe…
He remembers so vividly, his favourite day of all. Friday. The day Telamon finally pays attention to him. Even though it’s only one day, he was grateful. Was.
Friday was always the day they would train sword fighting together. Shedletsky… Telamon. Would watch him fight dummies. On rare occasions actual people. Maybe even Telamon himself. And while he watched, he always corrected 1x1x1x1 on his stance, where to aim, weak spots when he fought…
It’s all been engraved into his brain. He would rip out his brain if it didn’t kill him, just to stop remembering, to forget all the times he unconsciously corrected himself because “Telamon says it’s the right way to fight”. He hates him. Oh, how he hates him.
2x2 appeared one day on a Friday, dawn. Beside him stood Telamon. Before he knew it, he was banished. No warning, no goodbye, not anything to indicate what was going to happen to him.
Yes, he killed. Yes, it was fun. What else would a misguided child with powers of an admin do? Being terribly neglected, add on abused occasionally when he did something wrong..
Telamon was truly a terrible father. And Shedletsky? Well, 1x1x1x1 would give him a chance… if he wasn’t corrupted with pure, pure hatred. 1x1x1x1 blinked. He looked around, noticing some of the survivors looking at him warily. How long had he been standing there?
Checking the timer, 1:40 left on the clock. Well, he’s got to hurry it seems. And on his mind had already formed a target; None other than Shedletsky.
The survivors jumped out of their spots to hide, some stayed back to fight 1x1x1x1 off, yet only Shedletsky seemed to know what was coming with the way he gripped the handle of his sword. 1x1x1x1 felt energy course through their body in the blink of an eye, charging over towards Shedletsky in rage.
His footsteps thudded thunderously against the ground, all stealth gone in an instant. 1x1x1x1’s grip on the sword loosened, and they threw it forward, catching Shedletsky by surprise, who was ready for a corps à corps against his creation. The sword pierced through Shedletsky’s thigh, earning a rather, not-so-manly shriek from the so-called “SFOTH champion”. Seriously.
Chains erupted from the ground, piercing through Shedletsky’s body and holding him down as pop-ups appeared all over his face. Shedletsky fumbled with the pop-ups, panicking hard as 1x1x1x1 kept getting closer. The adrenaline rushing through his veins drowned out the pain of the chains impaled into his body.
Shedletsky kept struggling, occasionally looking up and more horrified the closer 1x1x1x1 got, till they were right infront of him. They raised their arm, swung their sword, and Shedletsky closed his eyes. Waiting for the moment that never came. He heard a grunt and his eyes shot open, noticing his saviour, Guest 1337, having had blocked 1x1x1x1’s attack.
“Run!” Yelled Guest 1337, and Shedletsky didn’t need to be told twice. He clicked off of the remaining pop-ups, jumping to his feet and sprinting off in speeds no one would’ve thought he could reach. 1x1x1x1 scowled, their attempt to swing at Guest 1337 cut short as the latter threw a punch to their face.
Their migraine returned, much more severe than before from the merciless punch. Before they knew it, another survivor toyed with their luck, and 1x1x1x1 felt a bullet pierce through their shoulder. They bit their tongue, refusing to let out any sounds. 1x1x1x1 dropped to their knees, clutching their head tightly. Why has the headache gotten so bad? This isn’t right, none of it is!
1x1x1x1 tried to lift himself again, grabbing his sword and struggling to get up. Their other sword was- Telamon knows where! Shedletsky probably still has it impaled through his thigh. Whatever, he just need to take out the Guest infront of him, who..- Is it just him, or has the place gotten wobblier.
Is the Guest approaching? He couldn’t tell. He couldn’t even tell how the sword slipped from his grasp. Why are there two of the stupid soldier? And.. has there always been two towers.. Gosh, everything hurts. 1x1x1x1 walked closer to Guest, their steps uncoordinated and sluggish. They wanted to say something, but no words came out.
1x1x1x1’s eyes felt heavy. Resting them for a bit won’t hurt, right? He stopped moving and closed his eyes, and suddenly everything felt at peace. The last thing he heard was a loud thud of someone falling to the floor.
…
…
…
“Open your eyes.”
1x1x1x1 jolted awake. They looked around, rubbing their eyes. Where… was he? The place was completely black, no sort of sunlight or anything, and it looked like it could go on forever, yet for some reason he was fully highlighted and visible.
Did he get banished again? No, that can’t be it. He’s already in hell, so he couldn’t die again… or could he? A voice pulled him out of his thoughts as someone appeared infront of him, too close for his liking.
“Who..-“ 1x1x1x1 paused. This was the one who banished him. The one who sent him away without mercy, and left him to die. “You… it’s YOU!” 1x1x1x1 scowled, “The one who-“
“Now, now,” 2x2 smiled soothingly, making 1x1x1x1 almost feel the need to vomit. “It was necessary, you were becoming too unstable.” 2x2 dismissed the topic quite quickly. “Besides, I’ve been watching over you for some time now. I see how your hatred is only-“
“You don’t know anything about me. You don’t get to know anything about me. Let me leave, 2x2, or I’m going to-“ 1x1x1x1 froze. His swords. His abilities. They were not here. He looked around rapidly, searching for his swords. “What the hell!? So you really did banish me again!”
“… It may seem like it, but no, I did not. Let’s just say, it’s basically your mind. You’re dreaming this at the moment, but I’m totally present.” 1x1x1x1 stared at 2x2, dumbfounded. What the fuck??
“What do you want from me?” They turned back to 2x2, looking pissed. Like always. 2x2 smiled once more. “Thank you for listening. Now, 1x1x1x1,” 1x1x1x1 recoiled in disgust, “… I suggest. You. Watch. Your. Tone. With me.”
2x2 stared at 1x1x1x1 for a while, who shrunk back at his gaze slightly, while still trying to look like they didn’t care. Upon seeing this, 2x2 continued. “I have a lot I can do, and I know what you want.” 1x1x1x1 scoffed.
“You?” They let out a harsh laugh. “Are you kidding me? YOU of all people?… Hell, even Shedletsky would know me better.” 2x2 just watched 1x1x1x1. “You say you’ve been watching over me, right? So you’re aware that I’m only made of pure hatred. Idiot.”
2x2 kept watching 1x1x1x1, his eyes narrowed. He lifted a finger and pointed it to 1x1x1x1’s transparent chest. “Freedom. That’s what you want, isn’t it? To be free from that hell you’ve been Forsaken to.”
“It’s been getting much more boring, hasn’t it? Killing the same people, over and over, and over, and over again… You feel numb, and empty, hollow, what is it worth to kill anymore? It doesn’t give you the joy it used to give and-“
“Freedom?? Are you fucking kidding me? How come you’re giving me an option now? Why wasn’t I given an option when I was banished? I was never warned, silently disappearing like I never even existed.” 1x1x1x1 felt rage bubbling up inside of him, clenching his fists tight. Looking down, memories started reoccurring, replaying in his head like a broken record.
“You’re right.” 2x2’s response surprised 1x1x1x1. He looked up, seeing 2x2’s expression having fallen to pity. “I should’ve given you a warning, a heads-up. But times have long since changed, the past is the past, and it’s too late to change that now.” He dismissed.
1x1x1x1 gritted his teeth, cursing under their breath. Seriously?? 2x2 didn’t feel pity at all, did he… “So now, I’m simply offering you a choice now, to make up for my past mistake. I only need a favour from you.” They perked up, looking at 2x2 while struggling to hide their curiosity.
“And that is..?” 2x2 replied immediately. “I will be sending you into a new universe. You’ll be allowed to change, to turn your life around, be a completely different person. Your abilities will be revoked, but you will achieve new ones.” 2x2 explained. “All I need you to do, is follow someone’s orders. Someone, who you particularly hate.”
“Absolutely NOT.”
…
“I didn’t even say wh-“
“Shedletsky.”
“… Right, so-“
1x1x1x1 shook their head. “Seriously?! You want me to follow the orders of THAT guy?! Are you fucking with me right now-“ 2x2 sighed, successfully managing to silence 1x1x1x1. “It won’t be as bad as you think. Shedletsky won’t recognize you at all, and he’ll be purely friendly. Just try not to show your hate too much, won’t you?”
“Who said I agreed-“
“Bye bye now!”
“Wha- HEY!!!”
1x1x1x1 looked around their body, panicked, watching as their body grew more and more transparent, and they felt themselves being pulled back into reality. “Also, one more tip.” 1x1x1x1 shot a harsh glare to 2x2, who smiled back. “Don’t use your real name, yeah?”
His vision went black.
-
…
“Hey..”
…
“Hey, wake up.”
…
“Wake up, goober…”
1x1x1x1 cracks an eye open. They sat up, holding onto their head in an attempt to soothe a growing migraine. God, what’s up with all the migraines? 1x1x1x1 rubbed their eyes and looked forward, noticing a… penguin. An angry looking one.
“Hey, did you have a good nap?”
1x1x1x1 pauses. He blinked slowly, processing it’s question, his brain moving a minute per hour. 1x1x1x1 quickly slapped their cheeks lightly, trying to wake up properly, before looking straight to the penguin. “Wh.. No.”
“That’s great..” Is it? “NOW GET OUT OF MY BED!!!” 1x1x1x1 jumped, falling off the bed. “The AUDACITY of people these days! You think you can just sleep anywhere you want, HUH?!” 1x1x1x1 rubbed their back, cursing quietly. “It’s 2010, yet people STILL don’t know basic respect!! JEEZ.”
Wha- 2010?? 2x2 didn’t tell him they were going to time travel a decade into the past?! 1x1x1x1 quickly got up, stumbling backwards yet catching their balance somehow. “Seriously, with Builderman disappearing, people really are doing lots of odd.. and STUPID stuff!!” The penguin kept ranting, yet 1x1x1x1 paid no mind, trying to find the way out.
Suddenly, it stopped. “Oh yeah, one of the workers came looking for you earlier.. Front desk of the hotel is down the hall.. go talk to them…” It muttered, staring at 1x1x1x1 with suspicion. “I dunno what the hotel wants with you tho..” Ideas formed in it’s mind, and 1x1x1x1 could tell they were not pleasant ones. “Maybe you’re a wackhead who’s getting experimented on..” Called it.
“… You’re a weird looking one, aren’t you? I can tell you’re not from around here.” The suspicion on the penguin’s.. expression..?? Was starting to irk 1x1x1x1. “You’re fishy.. I’m keeping an eye on you, bruh…“ 1x1x1x1 rolled their eyes, not planning to stay much longer. They quickly strolled out of the hotel room, hurrying to walk in the directions the penguin had explained earlier.
He entered the lobby, noticing the front desk almost immediately. 1x1x1x1 speed-walked over, wanting to get this done with quickly. Seriously, this place is odd already. He’s literally been sent back in ti-
Wait a second.
…
Emotions.
Oh god, he’s feeling emotions! Actual, genuine emotions. Not just.. pure hate. 1x1x1x1 blinked, taking a deep breath in to keep calm. He was feeling extremely overwhelmed. He’ll be fine. Hopefully.
The person behind the counter perked up upon seeing 1x1x1x1 approach. “Ah! Welcome to hotel Bizville!” They looked a bit closer, recognizing 1x1x1x1. “Ah! You’re…” The receptionist looked sheepish, not remembering 1x1x1x1’s name.
1x1x1x1 was about to reply automatically, yet remembered 2x2’s tip. After staying quiet for a few minutes, which probably felt like hours for the poor receptionist, who felt embarrassed for forgetting their name, 1x1x1x1 replied:
“Player. Call me Player.”
“Player.. Okay. We have a letter for you! One moment.. Ah! Here you are.” The receptionist inspected the letter closely. “It’s from John Shedletsky himself!” They said, oddly excited. “He’d like to meet you today at ROBLOX HQ in East Bizville!”
1x1x1x1 physically cringed at the mention of Shedletsky, and despite his efforts to try and hide it, the receptionist stared at 1x1x1x1 in surprise, wondering why they weren’t pleasantly surprised or something similar. “… You might be a big-shot from out of town. How interesting!”
“Well, good luck on your trek to the office, Player!” The receptionist went back to their joyful state, waving at 1x1x1x1 gently. “Yeah.. thanks.” They hurried out of the hotel. 1x1x1x1 shivered slightly once the outside air hit their skin.
They looked to the east, beginning to walk towards where he assumed was Roblox HQ, while observing his surroundings closely. What a.. happy looking town. 2010, the penguin said. He kept thinking about what has been happening to him. How odd everything is..
1x1x1x1 kept dragging their legs, which were almost screaming in protest, to keep going, thinking about the letter. A letter.. from Shedletsky. Does he always have to find that absolute freak everywhere he goes?! 1x1x1x1 took a deep breath in, struggling to contain their anger. Having emotions again after years of feeling hate and hate only, towards everyone and everything, It really was overwhelming, but he’d manage.
Maybe not. Apparently the hate for Shedletsky is still here, and apparently the hate for himself is also present. Hating himself was to be expected, since he hates everything and everyone, but there was another reason. All the scoldings Telamon would shout at him made him feel worthless. Pitiful.. like he wasn't needed. He hated himself, because why couldn't he just... be what Telamon wanted him to be?
It's not fair. It's just not fair, not fair, not fair not fair not fair notfairnotfairnotfairnot- He bumped into a street light. 1x1x1x1 barely kept his balance, taking a couple steps back and putting a hand to their nose. With how hard he bumped into that pole, his nose was definitely gonna start... He looked at his hand. Blood. Oh, great. 1x1x1x1 rolled his eyes and wiped the blood away, continuing their walk to Roblox HQ.
The HQ was intimidating in size. Huge, tall building, perfect to strike do-... 1x1x1x1 entered, paying no mind to other Robloxians wanting to know why HQ is closed on weekends. Upon entering, he noticed how.. destroyed, the building looked. Oh well, stupid companies founded by stupid people, right? He's going to ignore Builderman existed.
He kept kicking away the stupid little noob babies and walking up the stairs. He paid absolutely no mind to half of the admins floating around, precisely because he just couldn’t give less of a shit. He burst through the door, still wondering why he’s hurrying, before spotting two little kids. The red one looking a lot like c00lkidd, the blue one like a female version of the other stupid kid c00lkidd liked playing with. What was his name again?.. Ah.. bluudud?
He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the red kid, or just.. Red, talk to him. “Yo chump! Who do you think you are???”
…
“Excuse me??-“
“You’re just in time!” The blue kid.. or, well, Blue, said. “Cause we’re RED and BLUE!!!!” Red cheered, making 1x1x1x1 scoff. “And we’ll crush you!” Blue said, much more confident than before.
Oh great, now he’s got to beat some pitiful kids?…
He’s not Telamon!
