Topaz was in her office right before her shift ended, slacking off just a tiny bit, as she had been working for about 10 hours now. Whilst on her phone, she got a notification from her coworker, Aventurine.
Of course, she’d check it. Aventurine is her gossip buddy/friend/non-blood related brother/bully/victim/the type of person she’d kill just to get a woman, after all! The duo never had a filter for gossiping, even on text!
But of course, they couldn’t use their work numbers, or else the IPC would fire them. Except, this message was different. Aventurine used his work number. Of course, Topaz knew this by the fact Aventurine’s work number was just labeled as his name, while his normal number is… “Vinnie or “Vasha””, Topaz had it as. A cute nickname, but embarrassing to show to like, anyone.
Of course, Topaz was confused, and on alert, when she had gotten that message. Of course, again, she checked the message, as per usual. And the first thing Topaz saw was,
“(This is an automated-)”
And then she groaned. Heavily, at that. Topaz thought it was something IMPORTANT, but she should’ve expected that. Then her phone got another notification, and yet she wasn’t expecting anything better, though she did check. This time, it was a normal one, saying
“Sorry for that message”
And then Aventurine was typing, agonizingly slow, in Topaz’s opinion.Then, after a minute, which felt like 10, the message was sent. Holding the words,
“Dreamscape”.
That’s it. It’s either this man was in a life threatening situation when he was typing, or Topaz is going to actually beat the shit out of Aventurine for taking a WHOLE minute to type ONE word.
Though she did get the message, and now she had to speak with Jade. Jade can be… insufferable most of the time, and Topaz prayed she wasn’t at all today, because she didn’t want to deal with that again.
