Repulse and Relief

Summary:

Hazel learns to navigate the interesting modern topic : sex.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Hazel wasn’t a prude. Yes, she grew up in the 1930’s but that doesn’t mean anything. Matter of fact, she likes the idea of sex now that she’s more educated on it. But due to how she was brung up as a child, she physically just can’t.

Now, she never actually had sex so, she never really cared for it too much. That was until she started dating Frank.

She always felt bad that she simply couldn’t give Frank what he wanted but that wasn’t his fault or hers.

She grew up with the words ‘’sex’’ and ‘’intercourse”  having negative connotations and as a result, she associated it with negative feelings towards it. Even in school, they talked about it as the plague, which makes sense considering that they were kids.

Still, not only does she reject the idea of her having sex, but she’s worried about disappointing Frank.

What if I hurt him?

What if he doesn’t like me after?

What if I get hurt?

All recurring thoughts when she thinks about sex. Especially because she has learned about sex a lot more… differently compared to when she was in school (gods bless the modern times). One day, she will have the courage.
