Chapter Text
It was as if an earthquake had hit the HS group building, there was rising panic among the employees as they scattered away from the path of the raging S-Class alpha that had barged in through the doors through brute force.
A line of ten to twenty A-class alphas followed behind, each one of them oozing a dangerous aura of dominance as they filtered into the lobby, with a few of them standing by the doors blocking the doors as 3 of them followed their boss to the top floor.
Nobody could stand in the way, as the cloying smell of aggressive pheromones even brought betas down to their knees, clawing at their neck.
A sight like this was impossible to witness in Jianghu.
After all, Jianghu is a civilised society.
However, that did not matter to Shen Yu, the S-class alpha was at the limits of his patience.
He had been too kind to his son, letting him run off to Jianghu in the name of studies. He had thought it would be better and keep Shen Wenlang safe after the situation with his omega father. But the boy had considered it leniency, refusing to come back since.
It had been 10 years now, did he think that just because he ran a somewhat big company, he wouldn’t have to take responsibility for the family?
He was a fool.
The love and affection Ying Yi had given that brat had turned him into a useless idiot, He needed support and Shen Yu was going to make sure to straighten him out, even if it meant breaking every bone in his body and then mending it back by force.
Meanwhile, Gao Tu was scrambling on his feet, rushing to Shen Wenlang’s office with the warning that had come from the front desk.
“What is wrong, Gao Tu?” Shen Wenlang questioned, his brows furrowed at the worried look on Gao Tu’s face.
“Mr. Shen, Mia just called. Some people barged in and-” Gao Tu had just started briefing when the door to Shen Wenlang’s office was pushed open with so much force, it shook at the edge.
Immediately, Shen Wenlang was on his feet, taking large strides to hide Gao Tu behind him, the familiar angry scent hitting his nose, making him puff up his chest larger as he was threatened in his own office.
“Father, what are you doing here?” Shen Wenlang questioned, his back straight even under the onslaught of the aggressive pheromones of his father, the deep-seated anger and pain bubbling in his chest as he looked at the one man he hated more than his omega dad.
“Did I not warn you? I said I would break your legs and drag you home if I have to.” Shen Yu growled with barely contained anger.
“Don’t try to bullshit me, I am not going there.” Shen Wenlang stood his ground, releasing his own angry pheromones to fight off Shen Yu’s cloying pressure, his hand comforting Gao Tu who now had to hold on to him, getting weaker under the pressure, “There’s no home there.”
“SHEN WENLANG, DO YOU REALLY THINK I WILL JUST LET YOU WALK AWAY FROM THE FAMILY?!” Shen Yu roared, striding forwards as he gripped Shen Wenlang by the collar and dragged him away.
“Wait- let’s all calm down,” Gao Tu yelped, his hand gripping his chest as the pheromones surged over him when Shen Wenlang was ripped away from his person.
But neither of the alphas were listening to him. Shen Yu pushed Shen Wenlang against the wall, trapping him there.
“You are going to come back with me to P Country, either willingly or half dead. Make your choice right now.” Shen Yu grumbled.
“Ple–ase sir, calm- please calm down.” Gao Tu struggled to talk, holding Shen Yu’s wrist to tug at it away from Shen Wenlang.
“Gao Tu, don’t worry.” Shen Wenlang huffed, his eyes focussing on the struggling beta as the anger dissipated from his eyes, replaced with worry, “Shen Yu, let go! Stop with the fucking pheromones.”
His eyes tinged with gold flecks as in a sudden burst of strength, he had managed to push aside his father and ran to Gao Tu, holding his beta secretary, his best friend in his arms as said man curled up clutching his stomach and holding onto Shen Wenlang drenched in sweat.
“You both need to calm down, don't—don't fi-” Gao Tu murmured as he passed out.
“MIA! CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!” Shen Wenlang screamed.
Shen Yu watched in surprise, he eyes glued to the son he was so sure Ying Yi had spoiled rotten. In his memories, Shen Wenlang was just a foul-mouthed brat, who would pick fights he couldn’t even dream to win.
A stubborn fool, who simply refused to bow his head even when he had lost everything, the Shen family’s biggest fear was him not being capable enough, they were sure Ying Yi had raised him to be like this on purpose, to spite Shen Yu by making their only heir so fragile.
Shen Yu could break him within seconds if he wanted to and the boy despite it all never fought back, he took his beating and continued to glare at him.
The alpha had too many whispers in his ears inciting him to kill his own son, get another wife and heir instead, but he had paid no attention to them, his heart not allowing him to go that far with the child who shared so many similarities with his love.
No matter the hurdles Shen Wenlang threw at him, the curses, saying he murdered Ying Yi and even running away from home, Shen Yu had allowed these littles digressions hoping to let him grow, but the only growth in the past 10 years had been the distance between the alpha and his son.
He had almost begun to lose hope, but now– he felt his face, where a little drop of blood had managed to leak from his nose.
He couldn’t remember the last time someone had managed to land a punch on him. Sure, he could blame it on the element of surprise, but the force of the punch was proof enough of his son’s potential, if only he had been trained long before. Not only that, but he didn’t know how he had managed to miss it for so long.
Now watching as Shen Wenlang picked up the bespectacled omega in his arms, his face full of fear and worry, the amount of pheromones he pumped out to comfort the omega.
His brain connected the dots as the Iris scent got stronger, his son whispering things into the omega’s ears. His eyes dimming the longer the omega was unresponsive.
“Dao Heng, pick up the omega and drive to the nearest good hospital.” Shen Yu ordered. His eyes losing the earlier coldness as he understood.
Shen Wenlang wrapped his arms around Gao Tu, the golden specks in his eyes growing again as he practically growled at his father’s lackey trying to take his mate from him.
“Carry him yourself, then. No use waiting for the ambulance.” The older s-class alpha clicked his tongue at such obvious display of affection and claim.
The ride to the hospital had been silent except for Shen Wenlang’s whispered assurances to the omega, it would be sweet if his father wasn’t in the same car, watching his son do everything short of scenting and claiming his omega in public.
So Shameless.
But if he needed a stimulant for Shen Wenlang to reach his full potential, the omega would serve as a good incentive.
It made his work easier.
