Chapter Text
Harry was in the library in Grimmauld Place as he read over some of the books.
"What is it, Harry?" Sirius asked the boy, and Harry looked up with a smile that did not reach his eyes.
"Just finding out that the headmaster is possibly making me a lamb for the slaughter," Harry told him as he passed the book over.
The head of the Black Family read the book before narrowing his eyes as he looked at his godson. "Explain," he asked as he sat down.
"Ever since Tom and I first properly met in my first year, or even before that, my score would hurt, and I always wondered why," Harry explained as his godfather nodded along. "So then I started to think, it's not a connection to him, then I would know were he was at all times, and he would know where I am at all times, all he can do at the moment is look into my head," he started as Sirius nodded and both of them did not know that Hermione and Tonks were listening in.
"That's true," Sirius said with a dark look as Remus joined the two ladies listening in.
"So then I started to look for things that could connect us, and that is when I stumbled across that book," Harry said as he pointed at the book in Sirius's hands. "It talks about splitting a soul and putting it in something, be it a watch or a vase," he started before he looked his godfather in the eyes.
"A diary, or a scar," the Boy-Who-Lived said as Sirius looked at the scar. "And if it is done successfully, the person could live forever, no matter what state they are turned to, be it a wraith or ghost," Harry told his godfather, who lost all colour in his face.
And the three outside looked shocked and sickened.
"So that mad bastard made multiple Horcruxes," Sirius said as Harry nodded at him.
"I am one of them, or my scar is, and with Hagrid's words to me, Hogwarts is the safest place on earth, apart from Gringotts," Harry explained as the man nodded.
"Dumbledore must have known that the fuck face would show up over and over after him showing up in your first year," Sirius said before he narrowed his eyes.
"Then we can remove it," Remus said as he walked in with Hermione and Tonks following them.
Harry raised his brow at the man. "How are we going to do that?" he asked. "I only killed the dairy with a Basilisk fang from Slytherin's pet in the Chamber of Secrets," Harry explained as they nodded.
"And you got bitten by it," Hermione said as Harry nodded.
"Yes, but thanks to Fawkes, his tears healed and stopped the poison from killing the soul anchor," Harry told her as both women looked away and Tonks cursed.
"Then how is the snake fucker removed from Harry's soul?" Sirius asked as everyone was quiet before Remus looked at him.
"Gringotts," he told the others as they looked at him.
"That will cost an arm and a leg," Tonks said as Sirius smiled.
"The Blacks have that much, and with Harry as my heir, he can call on the wealth," the head of the Black Family told them.
"Then we need to get Harry to Gringotts," Tonks said as they nodded.
"I can get him there; it will be easy. I need a distraction to keep Molly distracted," he told the others.
"I can distract Molly, but we need others to go as well, so that's for his safety," Sirius told them as they nodded.
"I'll go with them," Tonks said as Hermione nodded at her.
"Alright then, and we can have Harry go get something that only he could get for him behind the next Lord Potter," Remus said. Sirius nodded, and they walked out.
So they moved down the stairs, where Ron looked at the group. "Hey mate, were you going?" he asked, as Molly looked out.
"Remus and Tonks are taking Harry out so he can see something within the Potter vault," Sirius said as Molly narrowed her eyes.
"I can go with him as well," she started as Sirius shook his head.
"Wrong. Harry is the only person in this house who can step foot in the Potter vaults because he is the son of James and Lily Potter," Albus told the others as he walked up and looked at them. "What does he need to vault?" he asked the man.
"Oh, something that James left for him, a letter he wrote and a book," Sirius said with a wave. "It has instructions on what he needs to do to help the Potter line, and the book has the information he will need," he told the headmaster, who nodded.
"I see. Remus and Tonks will be escorting him there, with Hermione acting as a decoy," Dumbledore asked as he looked at the four by the door.
"Yep," Sirius said, and the headmaster nodded. The four walked out of the house, and Remus got into a car with the other three and drove them to Diagon Ally.
Narcissa walked around Malfoy Manor before she approached her older sister. "Bellatrix, here you are," she said as she walked in to see her sister hunched over something.
When she got no response, Narcissa walked closer and found that Bellatrix was knocked out.
So the youngest Black sister started helping her sister and removed the necklace from the woman before she began casting some spells.
After a few minutes, Bellatrix opened her eyes and looked at her sister. "Cissy?" she asked as she sat up.
"Bella, are you alright?" Narcissa asked as she helped her sister sit up.
"I am, I just..." Bellatrix started before she looked at the necklace she had taken off. She scowled, pulled out her wand, and cursed it.
And it burst into thousands of pieces.
The black-haired witch returned her wand and turned to see her sister's stundered face. "What the hell was that, Bella?" Naricassa asked.
"Just removing something our aunt gave me," Bellatrix said as she stood up.
"Were you going?" the blond asked her sister.
"Gringotts, I have something to hand over to Bones to ensure my safety when I leave the UK," Bellatrix said as Narcissa got up and followed her.
"Not without me, you are not," the woman said, following her sister out before they both disappeared with a pop.
Harry, Remus, Tonks, and Hermione walked into the wizarding bank before approaching the teller, who looked at them. " What can Gringotts do for you?" the teller asked.
"We are cursed for the Curse Removal for Harry Potter," Remus said as the goblin looked at Harry before he looked off.
"Lead the humans to Curse Removal Room 30," he told the goblin, who nodded and led the three humans away.
The four walked up before they found Bellatrix and Narcissa holding a cub. Before they could say anything to each other, another goblin walked out. "Alright, then, what is this you told me about a soul within something?" the goblin, as the ones from the other side looked shocked.
"I haven't said anything about my scar yet," Harry said as all eyes turned to him.
"Your scar?" the goblin said as they walked up and had Harry kneel.
"Yes, we believe it to be a Horcrux that belongs to Thomas Riddle Jr., otherwise known as the Dark Lord Voldemort," Remus said as the goblin looked at the scar.
"Funny, I was going to say the same about the cub," Bellatrix said as the goblin looked between the scar and the cub, leading all the humans into the room.
"Now this is shocking," the goblin said as they had Harry lie down on a chair while they examined them.
"What is?" Hermione asked as she looked at them.
"It seems that each of these soul fragments is weaker than the other," they said as the goblin walked over to their desk and started to write something down.
"If it helps any, I know of a third that I killed," Harry said from his spot.
"And what was?" the goblin asked as they looked over.
"A diary that he used in his school years, possibly the first he used," he told the goblin.
"And how did you kill it?" the goblin asked as they looked pleased and shocked.
"Basilisk fang, it bit me once I killed it in the Chamber of Secrets, it left its fang in my arm, and so I stabbed the fang into the diary," Harry said as the others in the room looked at him with the Black Sister gulping.
"And how in the name of the pit are you alive?" the smiling boy.
"Phoenix tears can heal anything," Harry told them as they nodded.
"Then 90% of the work is already done; we just need to remove it with some goblin magic," the goblin told him before they looked at the cup. "Now if only we could use the venom of the Basalisk to remove the soul shard from the cup," they said as Harry got an idea.
"Dobby," the boy called out as a pop sounded beside him.
"Yes, Harry Potter?" the house elf asked as Harry looked at them.
"Dobby, could you get into the Chamber of Secrets and get us one of the fangs from the Basilisk?" he asked as Dobby seemed to think.
"It would be painful for Dobby to do so at the moment," the house elf explained, but left the room knowing that he had more to say. "But Dobby could link to Harry Potter so that his magic could protect Dobby and so Dobby could get the fang," Dobby explained as the goblin nodded.
"If you gift the fang to me, I will cut the price in half," they said as Remus looked at Harry.
"The normal price is 10,000G. That means 5,000G to remove the soul shards, and we can finally be one step closer to putting that bastard in the ground for good," Remus said as Harry nodded.
"Alright then, Dobby, what do I need to do?" Harry asked the house elf who held out his hand.
"Just take Dobby's hand," he told Harry, who did. He then felt a rush before Dobby popped away.
And then after a few moments, he returned with the entire body of Slytherin's monster.
"I only asked for a fang," Harry said, gobsmacked at what he just witnessed.
"Dobby knows, but Dobby needs to remove Excess energy from joining with Master," Dobby said with a smile. Harry did not know what to say, returning to the snake before looking at the goblin.
"Here," he said weakly as the goblin looked at him.
"If you give Gringiotts all bones and the meat, then we will owe you 100,000G alone," the goblin said as he looked at the body of the barely decomposed beast.
"Is it okay if I can take some meat to cook with?" Harry said as everyone turned to him. "Cooking is a hobby I have," he told them as they looked away.
"That is more than fine. This species will more than likely pay for the paymantes with its scales and bones alone, and then we can give you three times your body weight in meat, and we will still have enough for a feast," the goblin said before they called in more.
After a while, Harry was given the meat along with a sack of gold before the goblins started their work.
Removing both soul shards took hours, and when it was done, Harry felt weak.
"Give it three days, and then you will be able to walk around like normal," the goblin told Harry, who nodded and stood up with Tonks' thanks before they walked out and made it to the lobby of the bank's entrance, where Death Eaters stood.
"So, Bellatrix, you have turned on us," one said as they raised their wands.
And the six also raised their wands, with the goblins getting their weapons ready to fight the Death Eater.
Before long, spells were thrown around, with Harry and Bellatrix being the main two attacking the Death Eaters, with the others defending them and the goblins.
To the goblins' shock.
Soon, the two main attacks for the six had their wand tips touch, and they fired two spells simultaneously.
But the spells then mixed into one as it shot out an orb of what looked like the night sky, navy blue with golden moats of light.
The orb floated for a few seconds before bursting like a balloon, turning into a liquid pooling across the floor.
Harry turned to see Hermione getting up, so he aimed his wand at her and sent a blast that pushed her out of range.
Bellatrix did the same for her sister while Tonks reached the two.
The Death Eaters all scrambled before one of them touched the liquid and was then dragged into it.
One Death Eater saw the Greengrass family and soved them out of the way in his effort to escape, soving Daphne into the liquid. Harry jumped after her to stop her.
And so Hermione ran after him.
Bellatrix looked on as Tracy Davis and Pancy Parkinson, two other girls, were pushed in, so Bellatrix and Narcissa ran to try to stop them.
But it was too late as the group touched the liquid and pulled them all down.
"Remus, tell the headmaster that the soul shard is gone!" Harry screamed as he sank.
"But Harry!" the werewolf yelled out.
"We were not dying but being transported somewhere," Harry said with a weak smile.
Remus looked at him before he saw something in Harry's eyes.
Acceptance.
"I'll do it, and we'll find you," Remus told him before the liquid swallowed the rest of Harry.
And then after a few seconds, the liquid faded away.
"Where did they go?" a goblin asked as they walked up.
"I don't know, but we will not rest until they are found. We owe that young man for saving us," the bank director said as he nodded at Remus, who nodded back.
Harry and the group fell through the air from a portal that melted the liquid they fell through before they landed on the ground and looked around.
"Where are we?" Hermione asked as she took in the landscape around them.
Mountains, with some volcanoes, and a massive forest.
They seemed to be on a hill, and as she looked around, she spotted a large river and a massive lake.
"I don't know, but it seems that we are not in London anymore," Tonks said as she stood up.
