“Rei-Chan!” The annoying but familiar voice of Muu rang out in the transfer student's ears once again.
Rei thought of herself as average, she got good grades and was just trying to survive high school. She saw everyone the same and she didn’t care about most people. So why..Why did the most popular girl in school constantly bother her? She didn’t know herself.
The ravenette attempted to ignore the girl approaching her quickly with silence. Of course, that wouldn't work. She already had gotten used to the constant nagging of Muu. The strawberry blonde smiled and inched closer as she spoke sweetly.
“We should go to a cafe today! And eat crepes, they're really good!” She encouraged, but Rei had no interest in going with Muu.
Rei shook her head in rejection and swatted her hand around in annoyance. “I already told you, I don’t want to go anywhere with you, Kusunoki.” Muu's smile turned into a scowl, especially since Rei had called her by her last name.
“How many times did Muu tell you, Muu doesn't want you calling her that!” Muu crossed her arms with a pout that always made Rei cringe, Muu huffed and pushed herself forward to the girl before her. “If you go with Muu, Muu promises to leave you alone for the rest of the week!”
Now that had caught Reis' attention, her head perked up but she tried to keep an indifferent expression still. She, of course, was a bit skeptical because she knew Muu could've been up to something..But being free from the other girls whining for the whole week? Sounded like heaven.
Rei considered the offer and hesitantly nodded, “Fine, but you have to promise there'll be no funny business." She said sternly as Muu's eyes lit up, letting out a soft giggle. “Muu promises, Rei-chan.” She lied. Needless to say, she did in fact have a plan to do something.

The cafe was quiet, but cozy. Muu lovingly dragged Rei into the small area, happily humming to herself as she finally convinced the girl she liked to go out with her. Sure, she bribed the other girl in a way but it was still a win for her. Rei on the other hand was already annoyed even though the hangout hadn't even technically officially started yet. They got to their table and Muu kept on smiling at the person across from her.
“What?..” Rei muttered, creeped out by Muu's smile. Her gaze shifted away from Muu, unable to maintain eye contact for some reason. This caused Muu to giggle and lean in. “Nothing.” She muttered back.
Muu and Rei received their order, 2 strawberry crepes along with an additional 2 coffee drinks. Rei agreed to try the crepe if Muu had tried the drink Rei wanted, it was a fair deal. Rei wanted to at least get SOME amusement out of this, so she picked a specific bitter cold coffee drink, it was decorated with small sweets and foam. Muu was clueless. (stupid idiot i hate muu)
Muu shined brightly as the crepes arrived and picked a piece with her fork, Rei simply stared awkwardly before quickly taking a sip of the coffee, the taste was a deep bitterness with a comforting but faint sweetness. That moment of enjoyment was soon interrupted as Rei felt something touch her lips, she flinched back. Muu smiled, fork in hand, scooped up a piece of crepe to the other girl's mouth.
Rei rolled her eyes, but she realized no one else was around. No one would see her do such an embarrassing thing. “Cmon, Rei-Chan! Muu’s being so nice to offer you some..” Rei huffed in frustration but strangely, she felt herself come forward and take the bite. It was sweet and rich, the strawberry pieces adding onto the flavor. She quickly pulled back and she could feel her face getting warmer from how stupid she thought this was.
Muu giggled, satisfied at Reis' reaction. She noticed Reis' flushed face and her attempts to cover it up. Rei finally regained composure, redness gone which Muu was disappointed about. As Rei was about to ask Muu to try the drink, something was knocked over by Muu's hand.
“Ah!..” Reis' eyes widened as she felt liquid poor onto her lap. A clink alerted in both of the girls' ears. Muu gasped and grabbed napkins. “Rei-Chan! Muu’s so sorry!..Muu didn’t mean to..” She had clumsily knocked over Rei's drink all over her. Rei tried not to explode. She really liked that drink..Oh well, she decided to focus on the matter at hand. Rei waved her hand around as she got up.
“Im going to the bathroom.” She exhaled before leaving. Muu’s guilty expression turned into a playful smile. She looked around, there was no one else. Not even the worker was at the cash register anymore due to the lack of people. Quietly and smoothly, she poured something into her coffee. She wasn’t planning to drink it at all, coffee was gross to her anyways.
Rei returned, skirt slightly damped but mostly dry now. She sat down and Muu already had her guilty front again. Rei raised her eyebrows at Muu's expression.
“What are you doing?..” Rei sighed.
“Muu is trying to look cute..Did it work?” Muu tilted her head.
“You look like a sad kitten who’s looking for her owner.” Rei tried not to think about her spilled drink.

Muu hastily moved on as she realized she got off track. She hovered in closer, ushering the untouched coffee drink to Rei. “Rei-Chan, as sorry..Do you want Muu’s drink?” She offered and Rei’s eyes lit up ever so slightly. “Really? But it looks like you barely drank anything.” She observed, confused. Muu internally panicked and shook her head quickly. “No, Muu drank some while Rei was gone! It’s gross..” Muu stuck her tongue out and Rei accidently let out a cut off laugh.
Cut off because she wasn’t supposed to laugh, Muu wasn't supposed to be cute. Muu blushed at the new sound, she hadn’t really ever heard such a gentle sound from Rei before. Rei cleared her throat awkwardly and tried to ignore the fact she let that slip out. “Fine. Give it here.” The drink slid over to Rei, her lips now around the straw. She sipped, more and more. Not noticing anything different, Muu’s eyes widened at how much Rei was drinking at once.
And before she knew it, Rei was completely done with the drugged drink. Muu tried not to show her shocked expression as Rei let out a pleased breath. Knowingly, the drug wouldn’t have an instant effect so Muu had to think of a way to stall as it was already getting late.
“So, Rei-Chan! Do you have any favorite animals?” Muu asked, tilting her head innocently. Rei thought for a moment, leaning back a bit. “Well, I guess I like fish..?” The strawberry blonde girl paused. “Fish?” Rei nodded. “Yeah, you know, like tropical fish? They’re pretty.” Muu giggled and nodded in agreement. “Muu would like to take care of fish too one day..” The raven colored haired girl tilted her head. “Really, you?” Muu pouted in offense and crossed her arms. “Yes, really! Do you think Muu wouldn’t?”

Rei laughed lightly at Muu's defense. The same unfamiliar sound came out of her without realizing, but this time she didn’t really care. This was fun, talking to Muu was…Fun? She then realized she didn’t talk to anyone at all. Muu noticed Rei’s sudden pause and got closer.
“A smile is better on you, Rei-Chan.” She giggled as those words snapped Rei out of her realization of thoughts. Rei shook her head and her face flushed once again. But this time she was holding back a smile.
Before they knew it, they both were talking to each other like friends. Slowly getting to know one another. Rei was actually enjoying talking to someone, even to someone like Muu! Maybe…Just maybe, things wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Muu had completely forgotten about the drug she put in the drink. The moment they left the cafe, Rei was acting strange. Muu didn’t get it at first as Reis' expression seemed to be in a daze, a face even more red than before. Rei rubbed her forehead, she felt warm.
