Natsuki Subaru was a sinner. It was something he was aware of even in his home world. But he really realised how far he could go, when he came to this world.
Natsuki Subaru was Sloth. In his home world, he had given up on life. Resigning himself to rotting inside his room. He could have tried to do better, he had parents who loved him even at his lowest. Yet, he never tried. He was Sloth, because he allows tragedy to befall him. If he had been more alert, if he had taken more effort, perhaps he could have prevented all tragedy that befell them.
Natsuki Subaru was Greed. His Greed made everyone suffer. He wanted to save everyone, without leaving anyone behind. He didn't care if the others wanted to be saved or what they felt, he simply wanted to save everyone. No matter if the others cried, if they felt hatred for me. As long as they were safe...it was justified.
Natsuki Subaru was Gluttony. He was desperate for hope. He would run after any path that showed signs of it, any way that showed him hope of salvation, he could run after like a starved mutt without looking if it was a cliff he was running to.
Natsuki Subaru was Lust. He wanted everyone's love, their admiration. He craved acknowledgement, He wanted to be seen. In his home world or here, he just wanted someone to see him. He wanted to connect with them.
Natsuki Subaru was Wrath. He Hated the world. Sometimes even his friends. His hatred had made him senseless, making him forget reason. It made him into a ravaging beast. It had made him want to kill others, other human beings. He had killed other humans without any thought. For his revenge, who knows many lost thier lives.
Natsuki Subaru was Pride. He was Prideful in his ability to save others. That if anything ever went wrong, he could just reset. Turn everything back to how it was supposed to be. There was nothing that he could not prevent. But he was proven wrong. His pride in his ability to redo things made him blind to tragedies which he was unaware of. His pride made him want to solve everything on his own. To never take help. And to prove once and for all, that he was really his parent's child.
However, Worst of All. His worst sin was Envy. Natsuki Subaru was Envious of Od Laguna itself. Natsuki Subaru Envied Reinhard.
His Diligence in serving others. His Charity in helping others without expecting anything in return. His Temperance in not straying from goals. His Chastity towards the kingdom and his lady. His Patience in not losing himself, no matter how he was treated. His Humility, not growing arrogant despite being the strongest. His Kindness, which Subaru was sure could forgive any sin commited against him.
Natsuki Subaru knows he can never compare to Reinhard....right? After all, the only thing that Subaru ever do was commit sins right? And Reinhard was the virtuous...

But didn't Subaru do some good?
Diligence had allowed him to stay steady, and not give up.
Charity had allowed him to save people, strangers even from a horrible fate.
Temperance had allowed him to not stray from his path, towards the ending he desired.
Chastity had allowed him to not forget why he was fighting.
Patience had allowed him to stay Human despite his suffering.
Humility had made him grounded, it made him realise that this was not a game.
And lastly, Kindness had allowed him to rebuild old burnt bridges, it had allowed him to be where he is today....Perhaps Natsuki Subaru was not just a sinner.
