This story takes place after the defeat of Hawk Moth, with Lila as the new villain under the name Chrysalis. Marinette and Adrien are already together, and the events unfold just before Season 6. At this point, Marinette is aware that Adrien is a sentimonster, and Adrien knows that his father was Hawk Moth.
After defeating the villain, Ladybug whispered, "Bye, little butterfly… Miraculous Ladybug." Ladybug and Cat Noir sat on the edge of a building looking at the Eiffel Tower. "Hey, M’lady… can I please tell one person my identity?" Cat Noir asked. "Cat, you know how I feel about telling people our identities," Ladybug replied. "But you've told someone, so why can't I?" he asked. "I told my best friend who I trust because I had a lot of stress going on with my role as Guardian," she said. Ladybug and Cat Noir got up. "You could have talked to me, you know," he said. "I can't tell you everything because you can’t know my identity," she replied. "Yeah, I know…" he sighed. "Okay, fine, you can tell one person." Ready to leave, he grinned. "Really?! Thanks, Bugaboo!" "You too, Cat. See you tomorrow," she said before they left.
In Adrien's room, he said, "Plagg, I'm going to tell Marinette I'm Cat Noir tonight." "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Plagg asked. "Yes, Plagg, it will be fine. Claws out!" Cat Noir went to Marinette's house. Knock knock. "What is that noise?" Marinette asked. "It's Cat Noir! Hide, Tikki!" she whispered. "Hi, Princess," Cat Noir said with a smile. On her balcony, he sighed. "I have to tell you something." "You can tell me anything, Kitty," she said. "Plagg, claws in," he whispered, Marinette gasped. "You stupid kitty! You're Adrien?!" Adrien nodded nervously. "I'm sorry, Marinette." She shook her head. "I can't believe this... all this time! I could not tell you because of some of the rules but I was finally able to" Adrien looked down. Marinette sighed. "Well, I guess I have a secret too.
On her rooftop balcony, Marinette looked at Adrien and took a deep breath. "Spots on." As the light faded, Adrien's eyes widened in shock. "It's you…" he whispered. Overwhelmed, Marinette turned and ran into her room. "You're disappointed, aren't you? I'm sorry," she said, her voice trembling. Now both are detransformed in her room, Adrien stepped closer, his expression soft. "Of course, I'm not disappointed, my lady." He reached for her hand gently, but Marinette pulled away. "No, Cat Blanc," she said firmly, fear in her eyes. Having a Flashback of Cat Blanc.After a pause, Adrien said, "I love you, princess, all of you. Do you not love me?" Adrien replied, "I do, but we just can't be together." With a confused look, Adrien asked, "Why not?" "We just can't." "Why?" he asked, reaching for hand. "Please leave." But-. no, go." Adrien left, and Marinette cried on her bed.
Tikki asked, "Why are you crying? You love him." Marinette replied, "Cat Noir may die. Is it worth it just to hear him calling out my name?". Tikki shouted, "Marinette, look out! There’s an Akuma!" Chrysalis whispered into Marinette’s mind, "All the worry in the world could be gone if you join me." "No, Marinette, fight it!" Tikki cried. Chrysalis got in her head, "I can go to the future and make sure we are happy. I don’t care what it costs." It worked. Chrysalis hesitated before saying, "I will give you these powers, Ladyworrette, "I know your Ladybug so give me yours and get Cat Noir's Miraculous." I'll give you mine only if you tell me who you are." Chrysalis stopped and thought. "Okay, fine. I’m at The Petite Ceinture, 82 rue Desnouettes Street. See you soon, Ladyworrette." See you Chrysalis.
Tikki flew away fast, rushing to Plagg and Adrien with the Ladybug Miraculous in hand. Walking home from Marinette's house, Adrien said, "Maybe she just needs time to process." "Right, Plagg?" "Yeah, probably, kid." they see Tikki,"Something’s happened! What’s wrong?" Plagg asked. "Are you Ladybug’s kwami?" Adrien asked, concerned. "Yes. What happened?" Tikki replied, "Marinette got akumatized." Adrien's face turned pale as fear rushed through his body. "Why would she never do that?" he asked. "She wants to go to the future and make sure no one can ruin your guys' relationship," Tikki explained. Adrien’s fear intensified. "Where is she going?" "She’s meeting with Chrysalis." "Why?" Adrien asked. "I think she’s trying to get the Miraculous of the butterfly back and become a complete villain and not being controlled to go back in time," Tikki replied. Adrien’s face hardened with determination. "I have to save her from herself. Plagg, claws out!" he said. Cat Noir was ready to save his lady, but as he looked back, Tikki spoke. "Adrien, you should merge the Miraculous so you have both powers to battle Chrysalis and sadly, Marinette." Adrien nodded. "Plagg, Tikki, unify," for a second he thought he would make the wish but quickly snapped out of it and left.
Marinette stood facing Lila, now Chrysalis, the air heavy with tension. Dark clouds swirled above them. "This ends now, Chrysalis," Marinette said, her voice calm. "I’m done with your games."Chrysalis smirked. "You think you can stop me? I’m unstoppable!"She shot a blast of dark energy toward Marinette, but Marinette didn’t flinch. "No," she said. "You’re wrong. I’m not the same."With a flick of her wrist, Marinette activated the Butterfly Miraculous, her wings. The blast was deflected with a pulse of energy.Chrysalis scowled. "You think that’ll save you?""I’m done letting you control everything," Marinette said firmly. "This time, I’m taking you down."Chrysalis' wings fluttered as Marinette stepped forward, her power growing. "You won’t win.""We’ll see," Chrysalis hissed, sending more dark energy. But Marinette was ready.
Before Lila could react, Marinette called out, “Fluff, Nooroo, unify.” The Miraculouses merged inside her, flooding her with powerful energy. She felt the force rush through her, almost overwhelming her, but she quickly steadied herself. Her wings glowed brighter than ever as she focused on what was ahead.“Burrow,” she commanded firmly. Time around them began to twist, as if reality itself was changing. The past, present, and future blurred together, and Marinette’s mind connected with the flow of time. She saw every possible outcome, every choice, laid out before her. With this power, Marinette knew she could control the battle and shape the future. Nothing could stand in her way. She went through the portal and into the future now I want you to do nothing that was going to stop her. She left Lila alone in the cold. Some time passed.
Mister Noir (Adrien) arrived at the spot Tikki had told him about, spotting Lila sitting on the floor, pale and shaken. "What happened?" he asked sharply. "She took the Butterfly Miraculous," Lila whispered. Adrien’s eyes widened. "Lila? You’re the new Hawk Moth?" Lila nodded slowly. "I was, but Marinette took it from me. She’s not herself anymore." Adrien’s face darkened. "You let this happen?" he snapped. "I didn’t want to! She was too strong!" Lila cried, her voice shaking. Adrien glared at her before pulling out his baton and tying her hands. "What are you doing?" she asked, struggling. "I don’t trust you. You’ve caused enough trouble," he said coldly. "I’m sorry," Lila whispered, looking away. "You’re only sorry because you lost," Adrien muttered. As he finished tying her up, he stepped back. "I’ll deal with you later." He paused at the window, glaring. "Bye, Lila. I’ll be back," he said darkly, leaving her alone to watch him disappear.
As Mister Noir ran through the city, trying to figure out a plan, Bunnyx suddenly appeared in a flash of blue light. "What’s up, Cat?" she asked. "Hey, Bunnyx," he said, breathless. "It’s Marinette… she’s been akumatized." Bunnyx's eyes widened. "You found out her identity?" she asked in shock. "Yeah," he nodded. "She thinks I’m disappointed, but I’m not. I was happy to know, until now." He hesitated before quietly asking, "Bunnyx, when this is over, are we going to have to forget we know each other?" Bunnyx frowned. "I don’t know, but even if I did, I can't say. Changing time is dangerous." Mister Noir sighed, frustrated. "Alright… so what are we going to do about Ladybug? We need a plan. What’s happened so far?" he asked. "First, I asked Ladybug if I could tell someone my identity. She finally said yes," he explained. "Okay then," Bunnyx said seriously. "Tell me everything and hurry. Time’s running out."
Adrien explained everything quickly. "Marinette ran away, thinking she disappointed me. Then Tikki told me she got akumatized and fought Chrysalis." Bunnyx raised an eyebrow. "And she won and took the Butterfly Miraculous," she said, piecing it together. "Wait, do you know who Chrysalis is?" Adrien nodded. "Yeah, it’s Lila." Bunnyx rolled her eyes. "Of course it is. Somehow I’m not surprised." Mister Noir gave a small smirk but it faded quickly. "Marinette also took the Rabbit Miraculous, merged it with the Butterfly, and with whatever powers Lila gave her..." he trailed off for a moment, thinking. "She’s planning to go into the future to stop our relationship from ending." Bunnyx's eyes widened. "Okay, that’s a serious mess. So we definitely need to follow her. I'd say, 10 years into the future. Burrow." Adrien held up a hand. "Actually, Bunnyx, before we go... I think you should hold on to the Ladybug Miraculous. If Marinette manages to take mine, at least someone will still have it." Bunnyx hesitated. "Are you sure?" Adrien nodded firmly. "Tikki, spots off," he said, as Tikki floated down and looked at him sadly.
Ten years into the future, Cat Noir said, "Okay, so everything seems fine here. I feel that there's still further to fall for us to find her." "Okay," Bunnyx responded. "No puns. I shouldn’t have fallen in love. Look what it made her become." "We will save her," Fifteen years later, Cat Noir’s expression darkened. "I think she's in this timeline." Bunnyx pointed. "There she is." "I let her get too close," Cat Noir said, guilt heavy in his voice. "It's not your fault," Bunnyx reassured him. Paris was unrecognizable burning, with ash raining from a blood-orange sky."We need to find your older selves. Where should we look?" Bunnyx asked. "The bakery where her parents work," Cat Noir replied. "Let’s go." They rushed toward the bakery, determined to find a way to save Marinette.
At the bakery, Bunnyx and Cat Noir walked in, surprised when Tom greeted, "Hi, Adrien." "You know who I am?" Cat Noir asked, shocked. Tom chuckled, "Of course. It only took you and Marinette getting married to tell us." Cat Noir started, stunned. "Married?!" Bunnyx quickly explained, "We're from the past. Marinette got akumatized and ended up here." "Is Marinette home?" she asked. "She doesn’t live here anymore," Tom said. "She moved in with Adrien after they got married." As Bunnyx and Cat Noir turned to leave, Sabine added, " but Adrien is Picking up Emma from school?" "Who’s Emma?" Cat Noir asked. "Your daughter. She’s almost five," Sabine said, smiling. Cat Noir froze, wide-eyed. "I have a kid?!" Cat Noir whispered. "School’s down the road Collège des Petits Miracles," Tom said Bunnyx smirked. "Come on, cat. Let’s meet your daughter." My life seems good, Cat Noir told bunnyx. Now we just have to show that to Marinette, bunnyx replied.
Bunnyx and Cat Noir made it to the school when they suddenly saw Ladyworrette already there. "Let me talk to her," Bunnyx said. "Okay, go ahead." "Look, Marinette, we’re happy, we have a kid." Cat Noir shouted "How do you know we’re still together?" Ladyworrette asked. "We just talked to your parents," Cat Noir said. "I don’t believe you. You could be lying," Ladyworrette retorted. "I would never lie to you." "I’m going down, taking them myself. If I can’t have you, then no one can." Then, Ladyworrette flew down, grabbing Adrien and Emma, and flew away. "Well,they're lost in the fog," Bunnyx said. "She’s gone. We have to follow her." "Wait, we should go try and find Marinette so she can help us." "Okay." Bunnyx and Cat Noir were looking for someone who might know where Marinette works. "Hey, there’s Alya. She’ll definitely know where Marinette works or where she is." "Alright, let’s go talk to her." Alya looked confused, like they were younger. "Hey, old Cat Noir! Hey, Bunnyx!" "Hey, old, what do you mean?" "Well... You and Marinette gave up your Miraculous when Emma was born, you told me, Nine, and your in-laws. I’m from the past. Marinette is akumatized and came to the future." "We don’t know where she took future Adrien and Emma, so you thought future Marinette might help explain it to past Marinette and use a Miraculous?" Bunnyx, trying to wrap up the conversation, said, "Okay, gotta go." "Yeah, Marinette’s office is just on Lodinevurtso on Avenue Montaigne." Bunnyx and Cat Noir went off to see the future Marinette. "Bye, Alya." "Bye, Alya. Thanks for your help." "No problem."
Bunnyx and Cat Noir made their way to Marinette's office. "Hey, I’m going to wait outside." "Are you sure?" "Yeah, okay." Bunnyx snuck through an open window so no one would see them. "Hey." "Hey, we need your help." "We? I meant me." Sighs "Just come in." "Okay." Cat Noir hesitated but decided to go in. "Adrien, why do you have the Cat Noir Miraculous?" "Oh, I’m Adrien from the past." "Oh, okay. Why are you guys here?" They explained why they were there. "You don’t remember?" "No, your past self got akumatized and has the Miraculous of the Butterfly and the Rabbit." They all came up with a plan. "The Pig Miraculous may help her." "How?" "It could give her the gift of understanding why she’s really doing this." Piganette (Marinette) said, "Daizzi, rejoice! They're probably in the abandoned hotel. It's quiet. Follow me, let’s go." On their way to the hotel, Cat noir asked, "Hey, so how’s my life in the future?" "Don’t tell him too much," Bunnyx replied. "Life is good. I’m a fashion designer, and you stay home and take care of Emma." "It’s just a matter of time before we're swept into the dust. We have to hurry."
Meanwhile, Adrien stepped forward cautiously, his voice soft but urgent. "Marinette… What’s happening to you?" She smirked. "I’m not Marinette. I am Ladyworrette from the past, here to ensure my future is perfect and so you don’t die." "What do you mean? Marinette, please talk to me." With Ladyworrette, future Adrien and Emma, fear in their eyes, Emma puzzled, "Mom?" Ladyworrette said firmly, "Stay where you are." "Yes, Mom?" Emma asked. "You don’t have to do this." Adrien took a step forward. "You don’t need to change anything. Please, let us go out. If you don’t want to talk to me, talk to Emma." Emma comes over with a small hamster. "You’re a fashion designer, and Dad stays home. We have a hamster. You said every superhero needs a sidekick." Ladyworrette froze, staring at her daughter.
Moving swiftly across Paris, Cat Noir and Bunnyx followed closely. "You said she’s hiding in the old abandoned hotel?" Cat Noir asked. "Yeah, is that it?" Bunnyx replied, "Yep." Marinette leaped off the rooftop, with Bunnyx and Cat Noir right behind her. "Ready?" Bunnyx asked. "Born ready," Marinette responded. "Let’s surprise her." "Let’s do it " At the hotel, Piganette asked, " We have a hamster. What's their name?" "Emma, their name is..." Just then, the window crashed open, and Piganette, Bunnyx, and Cat Noir flew in. "What are you guys doing here?" Ladyworrette asked. "Stop, m’lady! Let them go," Cat Noir pleaded. "Our life is great! Why are you trying to stop me?" Ladyworrette responded. "I’m trying to make our life better," Piganette said. "You heard from Emma, our life is amazing, mommy." Emma then ran over to Piganette. "Bunnyx, go take Emma home. I’ll call you when we are good," Piganette said. "You got it. Come on, Emma, let’s go." Emma waved, "Okay. Bye, Mom and Dad." "Bye, sweetie," future Adrien replied. As Bunnyx grabbed Emma, she called out, "Burrow!" Ladyworrnette yelled, "Wait, don’t go Stay.
But Emma was already gone. "You have to stop, Ladyworrette," Piganette said, "Go, Cat. I will distract her." "I guess, okay. Sounds like a plan," Cat Noir replied. "I know you think you can run, but you can't," Piganette added, before confronting Ladyworrette. In their fight, Piganette tried to reason with her, asking, "But what if everything falls apart? What if he dies?" Ladyworrette was doubtful, but Piganette reassured her, "Your relationship is stronger than you think." "But what if I mess up?" Ladyworrette responded. "You’ll make mistakes, but it’s worth the risk. You’re not alone," Piganette encouraged. As they made their way back to Cat Noir and Adrien, Piganette reminded Marinette, "You've always found a way to fix the mess and we can do it together. Marinette, Trust yourself." Ladyworrette hesitated, "I’m scared… What if I fail?" Cat Noir reassured her, "You’ll rise above it, because you always do. We believe in you. You have to let our future play out, let our future selves decide what happens." Piganette encouraged her further, "Let’s see what your heart truly wants." Suddenly, Piganette was able to use her power, stating, "My dream is that all my worries go away, and me and Adrien live our future." She added, "You don’t need to fear. Your life will go the way it should, with ups and downs." Marinette nodded, "Okay, I’m ready now.
We know some of what Marinette saw that day, but only she knows the full truth. She was able to break free. "I'm sorry, I just didn’t want anything to go wrong," she said. "It’s okay," Cat Noir reassured her. As he spoke, Cat Noir rushed over, pulling Marinette into the biggest hug and spinning her around. "I’m not disappointed; I’m thrilled," future Adrien said. "Sorry." "I love you," she replied. "I love you too," he grinned. "Aren’t we cute when we were younger?" he teased. "Yeah, but cuter now," he responded, and they both laughed. "We should let them go properly meet Emma," Marinette suggested. "Okay, do you want to go meet Emma now?" Adrien asked. "I would love to," she responded. "Okay, let’s go back to the house. You should call Bunnyx just so we don’t startle them," he suggested. "Smart. I can. Okay, let’s go," she said.
Past Marinette handed future Adrien the Rabbit Miraculous, and past Marinette kept the Butterfly Miraculous, making it easier for them to get back. "Nooroo, wings rise," she said, and then "Fluff, clockwise." "Burrow, we can go this way," she continued. "Okay, I’ll call Bunnyx before we go in," she said. "Hey, Bunnyx, just so you know, everything’s good. We’re going back so they can meet Emma officially." "Okay, see you soon," Bunnyx replied. At the Agreste mansion, everyone had detransformed. "Your parents are on their way," said Bunnyx with a smile. Yeah Emma replied. "I think all your parents are here." "Yeah, Emma, we’re home! Come here, sweetie!" Future Marinette called. Emma ran over and hugged both future Adrien and Marinette. "We would like to promptly introduce you to our younger selves. This is Mom and Dad, but before we had you, when we were 14 years old.
Can you say hi?" "Hi, Emma!" both of them said. Emma was a little shy but eventually opened up. "Hi, I love your bow," Adrien said. "Thank you! It’s a beautiful color on you." "Can I show you my other bows?" "Of course, show us the way," they replied. Future Marinette grabbed past Marinette’s hand. "Past Marinette, going to come with me and Bunnyx for a second?" she asked. "Okay, honey," past Marinette said. "And then you go show me and past me your bow." "Okay, let’s go!" Emma cheered. Past Marinette looked confused, but Bunnyx and both Marinette’s walked off into another room. "What did you want to talk to me about?" Past Marinette asked. "I’m sorry." "No, it’s okay. You made a mistake; it happens," Future Marinette reassured her. "But Bunnyx and I have a surprise for you." "What is it?" Past Marinette asked. "Your earrings." "Are you sure?" "Yes. You are Ladybug, and I’m pretty sure Tikki misses you." Past Marinette put on the earrings. "Hi, Tikki." "I missed you." "I miss you too. Please never do that again." "I won’t. If I ever feel like that again, I’ll talk to you." Tikki and past Marinette gave each other a big hug.
Then they met up with Adrien and Emma, who were in a pile of bows. "Alright, Emma, it’s time to say goodbye," past Marinette said. "I don’t want them to leave. Emma, do you like our younger selves better?" Adrien and Adriwn got up out of the piles of bows and Emma. "They’re just a little fun. It’s time for bed." "Okay, bye-bye, Emma." "Bye, Emma, it’s nice to meet you." "Thank you for everything." They gave past Marinette and Adrien the Butterfly Miraculous and the Rabbit Miraculous from the past. "Alright, Bunnyx, let’s go then." "Bye-bye, see you soon, Bunnyx. You want to come over for dinner?" "That sounds great, okay." They gave each other a hug, then past Adrien and Marinette, followed by future Bunnyx, all jumped into the Burrow, arriving at Marinette’s balcony. "Thanks, Bunnyx, for bringing us home." "No worries, stay safe, Mini Bug and Mini Cat. See you on the next adventure." "Bye-bye, Bunnyx." They waved goodbye. Marinette and Adrien, back in the past, walked into her room. "You are ... scared to believe I’m the one, aren’t you?" Adrien asked. "I am, but I can’t let you go, so it’s worth it." Marinette said.
Then they sat on the bed in her room. "I’m sorry about what happened," Marinette said. "It’s okay, I don’t blame you. Your emotions got the best of you, just like everyone else. But may I ask, who is Cat Blanc?" She hesitated but decided to tell him. "Oh, it was an alternate universe. You destroyed everything, and died." "What? Yeah, I did all this for you, and you did all that for me. We really do love each other." "Yeah, I guess." They both blushed nervously. "That’s gross, Plagg." "What, sugar cube? Let’s go get something to eat downstairs." "Okay, but don’t get seen." "We won’t. Don’t eat all the cheese." "Don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on him." "Where were we?" "I don’t want to hide how I feel anymore." "Then don’t. Just be honest with me. I care about you... a lot." "Good, because I feel the same way." Then, finally, they kissed. It was magical. They finally love all of each other. But all of a sudden, Marinette pulled away. "Lila!" Their eyes widened. Tikki and Plagg had just come back. "How did we forget? We have to go see if Lila is still there." "Tikki, spots on!" "Plagg, claws out!
At the building, The Petite Ceinture 82 rue Desnouettes, they split up. "I’ll search upstairs." "Okay, I’ll take downstairs." "She could be hiding anywhere. We have to be quick and cover everything." "Sounds good." They searched the entire building, but she was gone. "No sign of her. At least she didn’t get the Butterfly Miraculous. You didn’t notice anything missing at your place, did you?" "No, I don’t think so." "Alright then, let’s check mine. Quickly, we can’t afford to waste any time. If she got what she was after, we’re in serious trouble." They rushed to Adrien’s house and immediately started searching. "Everything seems normal. Wait, the twin rings should be right here in the display case, but they’re gone." "No, I wonder why Lila just took the rings out of everything else here." "It’s fine, they’re just rings." Marinette shook her head. "They’re not just rings." "What are you talking about, Adrien? Those rings are part of something much bigger than you think. Your mother... she created you." Adrien's eyes widened. "My mother created me? What do you mean?" Marinette stepped closer, her voice soft. "She used the Peacock Miraculous and the object that controls you is the two rings.
You weren’t born the way other people are. You were made, created to be the perfect child for her." Adrien shook his head in disbelief. "No, that’s impossible. I have memories. I have feelings. I’m real." Marinette, softly stepping closer, reassured him. "You are real, Adrien. And none of this changes who you are. She used the Peacock Miraculous to bring you into this world." Adrien’s expression faltered. "But if I was created, then what does that make me? What am I?" Marinette held his hand gently. "What you feel right now, Adrien? How you feel about me, about yourself, that’s real. That’s who you are. Because no one's controlling you." Adrien looked into her eyes, his voice shaking. "Do you still like me?" She smiled softly. "Of course I do." Adrien’s voice shook again. "How do I know that this is real?" Marinette paused, then spoke with a calm certainty. "Your father told me before he made his wish." Adrien looked at her, his eyes full of questions. "Are you serious?" "Yes," she confirmed. "Now that Lila has it, what will happen?" Adrien’s fear grew. " She can control you and hurt you. What are we going to do?" Marinette’s voice was unsure. "I don't know but with those rings she has all the power and I will do anything."
