together in death

Summary:

"You like emo guys?" Donghyuck asks. Maybe it's a stupid question since he's giving one a hand job, but maybe Chenle just wanted some play, and Donghyuck was easy.

"I like Jisung," Chenle answers. "And you, of course."

Donghyuck scoffs, realizing that he's an afterthought. "Right." Maybe Chenle just wanted to hook up. Not that Donghyuck was looking for much meaningful with Chenle. Chenle doesn't seem like a very meaningful person, and not in an insulting way, really. Kind of preppy, kind of an airhead, and kind of obsessed with reputation. Probably why he wanted to come to this shady hotel instead of being caught taking Donghyuck back to his dorm room.

Donghyuck asks Chenle out on a date. It takes a couple of strange turns.

Work Text:

"Hey!"

Both Jisung and Chenle look back to see Donghyuck chasing after them. Seeing Donghyuck chase after anything is intriguing to Jisung, because he doesn't seem like the type to chase. He's cool. That's what Jisung's always liked about him. Really cool.

"Jisung," Donghyuck gasps, resting his hands on his knees once they finally stop running.

"He—" Jisung doesn't get to finish before Donghyuck starts smiling at Chenle.

"Chenle."

Jisung raises an eyebrow, confused at when Donghyuck became someone that Chenle would pay any mind to.

"Hey." Chenle smiles back, catching Jisung even more off guard. But Chenle has been different since he went to that concert. "Did you do the theater assignment? I don't know, I was too tired this week to think about the significance of nature in Macbeth."

Right, that theater elective that Chenle mentioned taking. He's surprised that Donghyuck would be in it. Chenle never mentioned him, and Donghyuck didn't seem like the theater type.

"Oh, yeah, I did it." Donghyuck chuckles. "I can let you see it."

"Thanks." Chenle seems done with the conversation, turning back around. Seems like he really isn't willing to give Donghyuck the time of day.

"Wait—Chenle," Donghyuck calls again. Chenle turns around, annoyance in his expression.

"Yes?"

Jisung just stands to the side, watching awkwardly, feeling as though he's been forgotten. Weird, because Chenle is his friend, and Donghyuck is his friend, not Chenle's.

"I just thought that since we've been having a good time in theater—"

"You wanna go out with me." Chenle completes the sentence for him. Jisung's taken aback by it. Donghyuck and Chenle? That doesn't sound right. That doesn't look right, either, and Chenle couldn't possibly agree to something like this. Jisung's never really been explicit about his feelings for Donghyuck, but he thinks that Chenle would notice. Other people that Jisung's not nearly as close with have noticed, so why wouldn't Chenle? They're really different now, but sandbox love never dies, and Chenle's still his best friend.

"Uh, maybe?" Donghyuck's cheeks flush red. Jisung is awestruck.

"Lay it on me," Chenle says plainly. Jisung can tell that Chenle's going to reject him. "Give me your pitch."

"Okay!" Donghyuck says enthusiastically. Jisung almost feels bad, because he seems way too hopeful. "Next weekend they're showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Bijou, and I thought that maybe you'd like to come with me."

There's no way that Chenle knows what that is.

Just as Jisung expects, Chenle tilts his head to the side, squinting his eyes at Donghyuck. "I'm not really a fan of boxing movies."

"Oh…It's not…" Donghyuck takes the hint. "It's not a boxing movie, but, okay." He lifts his hands up in surrender, and turns on his heel to walk away.

Jisung follows Chenle as he turns around and continues their walk back to the dorms. He bursts out into laughter.

"He definitely thinks I'm a total ditz." Chenle rolls his eyes. "I know that The Rocky Horror Picture Picture Show isn't about boxing. Why would he even ask me out? Am I looking so ugly these days that just anybody thinks that they have a chance? Does he think I'm desperate or something?"

It stings a bit to hear Chenle talk about Donghyuck in that way, because hey! Jisung likes him, but Chenle is right. Him not really being himself these past few weeks has probably caused Donghyuck to gain some confidence. Not as bitchy, not putting as much effort into his appearance. Hell, Jisung can barely get Chenle to roll out of bed for classes everyday.

"I think Donghyuck's pretty cool," Jisung says, a weak defense of the male. Yet somehow, the comment causes Chenle's demeanor to flip entirely.

"Really?" Chenle asks, now seeming intrigued.

Jisung automatically regrets the comment.

"I mean, yeah?" He offers up. "He's nice."

"Maybe I need a date. I haven't really been feeling like myself lately."

Jisung can attest to that.

With his decision made, Chenle turns around and begins to run across the quad.

"Hey! Donghyuck!"

After his indirect rejection, because Donghyuck knows that Chenle is a bit preppy, but there's no way that he got The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Rocky with Sylvester Stallone mixed up, he realizes that he got a bit ahead of himself. Even if Chenle's friends with Jisung, he's still Chenle, after all. Chenle with his bleach blonde hair and matching Ralph Lauren polos that he wears with his other preppy friend, Mark. Chenle, who plays basketball and gets drunk at frat parties on the weekend. Country club Chenle who wouldn't bother to get on with someone like Donghyuck, unless it's for homework answers, of course.

"Hey! Donghyuck!"

Maybe he stands corrected. Chenle runs over to him, smiling wide. Donghyuck figures that Jisung must've put in a good word for him, because Chenle wasn't smiling that brightly just a few seconds ago.

"Um, I don't know about next weekend, but maybe we can get a hotel room for the night?" Chenle suggests, scratching his head. "I just got Sin City on DVD, and maybe we can watch that?"

Not The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but still sounds like a damn good time.

"That sounds great." God, Donghyuck hasn't gotten some in a while, and from Chenle of all people? This is gonna be good.

"I can rent the room," Chenle offers. "You know—since I made the last minute plans. I'll just text you the address and time, and you show up."

"That works." Donghyuck can't believe it. "I'll see you then."

"Okay." Chenle smiles at him one last time, before running back off to Jisung.

Donghyuck spends the rest of his day thinking about the date. What he's going to wear, what time he'll leave. Should he get there early? Chenle tells him to be there at nine, and that he'll wait in the lobby for him.

So Donghyuck leaves campus at eight thirty, the address being a twenty minute drive away according to his navigation. He amps himself on the drive there, singing along to his music as he prepares for what this night with Chenle will entail. The GPS leads him to a hotel parking lot, but the place is empty save for one other car, and there's no lights on in the entire building. Donghyuck circles the area again, checking the signs and building number one more time. It's the right address, so he chooses to trust Chenle, and parks right by the entrance of the seemingly abandoned hotel. The front door is already propped open, so Donghyuck slides in.

It's pitch black inside, save for the small amount of illumination provided by the moonlight through the windows. The hotel is definitely abandoned, and it leaves Donghyuck questioning whether Chenle made a mistake when looking for hotels. But he must be here? He said that he'd get Donghyuck from the lobby, insinuating that he'd be there before him. Unless this was a set up, and Chenle decided to prank him.

That'd be really messed up, but Donghyuck unfortunately wouldn't be surprised. He looks over to the staircase, debating whether he should head up and try to look for Chenle, or just ditch.

"Boo!"

Donghyuck turns around to see Chenle pointing a flashlight at him, laughing.

"I was gonna get a regular hotel, but I figured that a freak show like you would enjoy this better." Chenle grabs Donghyuck's hand, and begins to guide him up the stairs. "Do you like it?"

Donghyuck is a bit freaked out, but maybe this was thoughtful? "I guess. It's unique."

"And, we get to use as many rooms as we want." They go up to the top floor, which Donghyuck thinks is an odd choice. They're in an abandoned hotel—why not the first floor? Closer to the ground and safety, just in case the building is unstable or something.

"This is our room." Chenle brings Donghyuck to a room at the end of the hallway. It looks nice in comparison to the rest of the building—as if Chenle tried to do the place up. There's clean sheets, and a portable DVD player on the nightstand. "The electricity doesn't work, so I improvised."

"That's fine." Donghyuck didn't think that Chenle planned to watch much of the movie, anyway. At least if he insisted on coming to a hotel instead of his dorm room.

The movie barely plays for ten minutes before Chenle is all over Donghyuck, throwing his leg over Donghyuck's and cupping his face in his hands, pressing their lips together.

"I didn't think you'd be any good," Chenle comments as he pulls away, giving Donghyuck a moment to gasp for air.

"That's insulting." Donghyuck chuckles, and Chenle smiles back at him. "You have a really pretty smile."

"And it's all natural, baby." Chenle runs his tongue across his top row of teeth like a hungry animal, and then dives back in, wrapping a hand around Donghyuck's neck. Donghyuck doesn't know if he can get down with it, the pressure of Chenle's fingers pressing down onto his airway making it feel like he's literally sucking the life force out of his body, but he's not ruining his chance. Donghyuck's hand trails up Chenle's stomach, his fingers dragging along the tank top layered under a short yellow cropped top. Donghyuck tugs at the yellow top, trying to it off, but Chenle grabs his arm.

"Let's take things slow." Chenle hoists himself up onto Donghyuck's lap, barely giving Donghyuck time to breathe again before he smashes their lips together again. Donghyuck tries to keep up this time, one hand tangling into Chenle's hair, twisting the dead ends of his bleached blonde hair between his fingers. His other hand travels down to grab Chenle's ass through his sweatpants, pulling him closer as the erection grows in Donghyuck's pants.

"Do you have condoms?" Donghyuck asks, having admittedly come unprepared.

"You think that we're gonna get that far?" Chenle teases. His fingers pop open the button on Donghyuck's jeans, and then he pulls the zipper down. "Guys like you and these tight jeans." Chenle shakes his head. "Jisung likes them too."

"Guys like me?" Donghyuck chuckles, his breath hitching as Chenle sticks his hand in his underwear.

"Emo guys," Chenle says, matter-of-factly. He presses his head to the crook of Donghyuck's neck, teeth grazing his skin as he rubs the pre-cum across the tip of Donghyuck's cock.

Chenle crawls off of his lap to get more comfortable, pulling Donghyuck's pants further down and locking eyes as if he's a predator who's caught their prey. He licks his lips, wetting them as his wrist flicks, stroking Donghyuck's cock. It's kind of dry, but that problem's resolved when Chenle repositions himself by Donghyuck's legs. Maybe they will get that far. If nothing else, at least Donghyuck got sex. He doesn't really know what he was looking for in the long run with Chenle, but if it ends like this, it's totally fine.

"I haven't done this in a while, so don't judge me, unless you can do it better—then we can switch."

Donghyuck doesn't really feel like giving head tonight. "I won't judge." As long as Chenle makes him come, but he doesn't doubt that he can do that much.

"Mmkay." Chenle wraps his lips around the tip of his cock. Inside of his mouth is wet and hot, and Donghyuck wants more. He raises his hips slightly, barely giving time for Chenle to adjust. Chenle doesn't complain, not that Donghyuck thought that he would. Chenle uses the saliva coating Donghyuck's cock as lube to jerk him off, his hand gliding nicely instead of chafing against his skin.

"You're good at this," Donghyuck compliments, running his fingers through Chenle's hair. Obviously, Chenle doesn't answer, mouth too preoccupied with showing Donghyuck a good time. Bruce Willis and Brittany Murphy are long forgotten about on the DVD player next to them, with Donghyuck's focus being on Chenle giving him a porn star level blowjob. Donghyuck will definitely be satisfied with just one night if this the quality of hook up that Chenle is giving him.

"Are you close?" Chenle asks, removing his mouth from Donghyuck. "I don't want you to cum in my mouth. Emo boy sperm in that hole wasn't on my agenda."

Donghyuck would laugh if he weren't right on the cusp of his orgasm. Instead, he nods frantically. Chenle smiles, clearly amused by Donghyuck's desperation, but he's nice and continues to jerk him off, pulling Donghyuck right over the edge.

"Fuck," Donghyuck groans, taking a minute to catch his breath.

Chenle wipes his hand on the sheets and then rolls off of the bed, shutting the DVD player and standing up. "Come with me."

"Where?" Donghyuck asks.

"Just next door."

Even though it's just them in the hotel, Donghyuck still pulls his pants up despite the uncomfortable wet feeling in his underwear. He follows Chenle to the neighboring room, where he stares in shock at the sight.

"Surprise."

"What the fuck is this?" This place looks like an edgy kid's wet dream. There's a pentagram drawn onto the floor with a red liquid that looks like blood, but definitely can't be blood, right? Then there's unlit candles at each point on the star. Chenle pulls out a box of matches, takes one out, and strikes it against the box, lighting it.

"I thought that you'd like it," Chenle whines, setting light to each of the candles.

To say that Donghyuck is creeped out would be an understatement, but maybe Chenle's just into the occult.

"It's cool…" Donghyuck still kind of wants to fuck, so he'll play along.

Once the candles are lit, Chenle blows the match out and throw it into the middle of the pentagram. He then walks back over to Donghyuck, and kisses him again. Donghyuck didn't expect Chenle to be such a big kisser, but he's not hating on it. Donghyuck feels like he's being ravaged as Chenle moves his lips against his, like Chenle's desperate, starved, trying to suck all of the air out of Donghyuck's body. The kiss is so fervent that Chenle's falling forward into Donghyuck, pushing him backwards and backwards until they go crashing down.

"Ouch…" Donghyuck groans, gripping the back of his head. He looks around to realize that they've fallen inside of the pentagram, the candle by the top point of the star just inches away from his head. How funny is that, Donghyuck thinks.

Chenle doesn't apologize, which Donghyuck is anticipating. Instead, he just stares at Donghyuck, biting his bottom lip as if he's anticipating something.

"What?" Donghyuck asks, feeling somewhat unsettled by Chenle's silence.

"Are you scared yet?" Chenle asks, his tone ambiguous. Donghyuck is inclined to think that he's teasing, but nothing about his tone gives that impression. Donghyuck can't even quite place what the question is in reference to, or how Chenle means it.

"Scared of what?" Donghyuck asks.

"Me." Once Chenle says that, a weird red glint appears in his eyes. Donghyuck looks around, question where it could've possibly come from—there's no red light around them. He looks back at Chenle again, and the red glint is still there.

"Why?" Donghyuck watches Chenle carefully as he opens his mouth again, his perfectly white teeth appearing just a bit different, unless Donghyuck managed to miss the weirdly sharp canines that are totally uncharacteristic of any normal human being. But Donghyuck doesn't think that he could've missed that.

"Because." Chenle licks his teeth again slowly. The alarm bells that should've been going off as soon as Donghyuck pulled up in front of this abandoned hotel start going off, and once his heart starts to beat a little faster than normal, Chenle smiles.

"I had a nice time tonight."

Before Donghyuck can ask why Chenle's saying that, he feels sharp teeth piercing into his neck. He attempts to scream, but ends up choking on his own blood. The last thing he sees is Chenle shooting him that million dollar smile one last time, blood dripping from his mouth as he goes in for another bite.
