Prologue:
He swooped down. He wasn’t intending to enter the Upside Down much anymore, but this was necessary. The boy could still be alive, after all.
They hadn’t beaten him. But they’d weakened him. And that was the biggest mistake they could have made.
He’d gotten the girl a few years back. Let Eleven see her dead, then took her to Dimension X. Revived her.
Eleven was not the only one who could do that.
He was still angered that he hadn't killed Max on the first try. But no matter. She was still stuck in his mind. He’d find her soon.
When he got to the boy, he was very much dead. But he could fix that.
He closed his eyes, and the boy’s wounds began closing. His heart began beating slowly, but surely.
And when he opened his eyes, the boy was somewhat awake. At least he was alive.
He waved his hand, and the boy saw his true form. The normal one.
“Eddie,” he whispered. “You are going to assist me.”
The boy, not even half awake, realized who he was. The boy slowly tried to crawl away, but Henry grabbed his collar.
“You can’t get away that fast. Come, Barbara’s waiting.”
