Today was the grand day! I, Shinjiro Tsubak, was going to receive a gift from the Hokage herself, Tsunade.
I had given up everything to be an ANBU black ops member. Although, I was low-ranking and designated to only the most pointless of missions and tasks. Today was the day! Finally I would achieve recognition for all my hard work serving the Hokage.
I walked up the steps of the Hokage Tower, heading for Tsunade's office. Once I found her office door, I burst inside. Smiling widely as I saw Sakura, Shizune, and most importantly Tsunade herself.
Man she was a hottie, but I had been able to suppress my attraction to her for the most part. I was nearly dancing with glee at the prospect of this gift I was to receive . Whatever gift this was anyway.
"Shinjiro Tsubaki," Tsunade said proudly. "Today you are granted one of our village's finest and most delicate gifts."
I beamed widely, this was it! A step in the path of recognition!
I watched Tsunade reach under her desk and pull out a large pendant. It was gold with a large emerald green jem.
"This is the Power Pendant." Tsunade said grandly as she handed me the necklace.
I was stunned into silence. This … had to be a joke, right? I mean, come on! But as I looked at the faces of Sakura and Shizune I quickly realized that they were all being serious.
"This … is my gift?" I questioned. "This pendant?"
"It is not just any pendant." Replied Tsunade. "It grants the user buffs to their base power. We believe that since you're our current most trusted ninja that you deserve such a powerful gift."
"Um … okay then, Lady Tsunade." I replied as I put the pendant on.
I didn't really feel any changes. It was as if it was just a regular pendant.
"Well, how do you feel, Shinjiro?" Asked Shizune.
"I feel … the same." I replied.
"Well, give it a few hours to settle in." Said Tsunade. "Then you'll be a brand new ninja."
I wasn't so sure about this, but I shrugged nonetheless and quietly thanked Tsunade before turning and leaving her office.
But as I closed the door, I heard a loud and hearty laugh. I turned and placed my head to the door. Listening intently.
"That Shinjiro is such an idiot!" Said Sakura. "Believing in such a mythical magic pendant."
"I know, right? I just fished it out of the archives." Tsunade added. "It literally has no value to this village."
"I guess keeping him around was good for something after all." Continued Shizune.
The three ladies laughed hysterically as I realized that I did not really matter to my superior's. I was just a dumb grunt. Goddamn these ignorant bitches!
I turned and left the door to the Hokage's office. Anger flowed through my veins as I stomped down the street. All my training, all my achievements, everything! It had all been for nothing. I was never going to get respect from these people, especially the women.
But what was I to do about it? They held all the power over me, the Queen Bitch herself being Tsunade.
As I walked sadly home, hands in my pockets. A figure strolled up to me. I turned and instantly glared at who it was. Sakura Haruno.
"Hello, Shinjiro." She smirked.
"Hi," I said bluntly. "What do you want?"
"Just wanted to extend my gratitude for you in receiving the Power Pendant from Tsunade."
I snorted, this pink haired bitch was such a damn liar! And to think I had a crush on her.
"Just stop it, Sakura." I said. "I know this Power Pendant isn't worth anything and I know you all really don't care about me or what I did for this village."
Sakura was stunned. I guess she didn't expect dumb old Shinjiro to figure that shit out. I then silently turned to walk off. But Sakura stopped me with her annoying and screechy voice.
"Hey! Don't turn your back to me!" She yelled.
"I'm done with you, Sakura." I said. "Just leave me alone."
"No! I don't deserve such disrespect from a lonely little bitch boy like yourself!"
I then grabbed my pendant so it wouldn't jiggle as I angrily turned around.
"Sakura, shut the hell up!"
Sakura's mouth instantly went closed as she appeared stunned. I then turned around and left for my apartment. Leaving Sakura alone for now.
...
I made it to my apartment in no time. Ready to chow down on some chicken and noodles, before a knock came at my door.
I was annoyed by the disturbance, but decided to answer anyway. Maybe it was a person who actually cared about me?
But as I opened the door, I saw Sakura Haruno once again. I rolled my eyes, what the fuck did she want this time!?
"Sakura, get out would you? I'm not in the mood."
But Sakura said nothing, instead keeping her mouth closed as she pointed at her mouth before pointing at the Power Pendant.
"What?" I asked, confused.
Sakura sighed and rolled her eyes, before summoning a scroll. She then showed it to me. Written on it in black lettering said:
FIX THIS! YOUR STUPID PENDANT MADE ME MUTE AFTER YOU TOLD ME TO SHUT UP. NOW FIX THIS YOU DAMN IDIOT!
Wait … My Power Pendant did this? How could that be possible? It wasn't supposed to have any sort of powers after all, right?
I quickly grabbed my pendant to test her supposed theory. I held it tightly in my hand and spoke.
"Sakura: You can talk now."
"Ah! Th-thank you, Shinjiro." She replied.
"Y-yeah, no problem." I replied.
"Well, I'll be off then. See you tomorrow or whatever."
Now, if this was before all of this betrayal shit happened. I would've let bygones be bygones and not pursued this further.
But I had changed, maybe in hindsight it was the Power Pendant's doing or maybe it was something else? But I felt like I was owed more by the people of this accursed village! I wanted revenge.
I quickly grabbed the pendant and spoke.
"Sakura, stay in my apartment and don't leave until I say otherwise."
Sakura stopped dead in her tracks. She then obediently turned around and re-entered my apartment.
"Close the door behind you, Sakura, and lock it." I continued.
Sakura then performed the action as ordered. This pendant was fucking incredible! That dumb old hag with the nice tits just handed me the key to my revenge! I would make every one pay for everything they did against me, Shinjiro Tsubak!
