Chapter Text
Kidd was walking to school and it still shocked him that he and his friends are super heroes now. That ninja kid, night ninja his mind supplied, has tried to take over town a few more times. And you have 2 others, Luna girl and Romeo that also tried to do shit. Honestly he had made a few Romeo and Juliet jokes with him, not that he got them but still. It sometimes reminded him of kindergarten, fighting against those others and some monsters. He also had a group chat with his old friends from kindergarten. It is crazy in there, he thinks Cindy broke into someone's house last time they were online. Honestly none of them were fully good in their head. So he was pretty content with how his life is playing out, except for the fact he had to save town every now and then, that sucked a lot. Though those kids only went out at night, not that he complained but it was a bit weird sometimes.
When he got to school Amaya and Connor immediately ran to him. “Greg, did you see what we did last night?” Connor beams at him, it is funny how when he first met them he was annoyed with them but right now he was slowly warming up to them. “Let’s not talk out loud about it, we don’t know how others would react.” He quickly shushed them. The chance that they would think something weird of it was small. Heck they probably thought it was roleplay or play pretend since they were 7. But with what happened at his old school he wouldn’t be surprised if the adults knew more then they let on. And the dialogue was worse than the others thought. If it would be alright tonight we are going to fight bad guys. It could be play pretend but the first thing you say to someone is did you see what we did last night. It was too weird for his brain to be roleplayed. Probably because his teacher got shot down by a robot.
He was tired. He means how could he not be tired, a kid from 7 years old should not be running around at night over the rooftops. It sometimes confused him how his friends could think this was normal. Sometimes it surprised him what he considered normal. With everything that has happened to him he didn’t even know why he found it normal to die. After all he would come back, but what if he didn’t. What if it happened and he wouldn’t come back. That thought scared him sometimes. He had so much he wanted to do, he wanted to finish elementary school so he could choose the same school as his friends, so they would be in the same school again.
As he thinks he feels a tug at his sleeve. “Greg, we have to go inside.” Oh Amaya called him, well lets go inside then. He walks behind the two who were still talking about how cool it was that they were superheroes. Well they did as if it were play pretend. This time with at least smarter dialogue, that didn’t give them away. They walk into the classroom and their teacher greets them. “Hello kids, today we are doing a technology lesson, so we are going to the computer lab.” Honestly, Kidd was excited for it. It was just that he was tired and these kids didn’t know how to be quiet for a pill addicted teacher. Honestly he was surprised that she was even permitted to teach, but yeah he wasn’t going to complain since she let him do a lot of shit. The whole class was buzzing with excitement as they walked toward the computer lab.
Inside the computer lab were 26 computers, and since they had 12 kids in their class it was just enough. He takes a seat behind one of them and the teacher gives them instructions. At the end he made an entire game! He was so happy when he finished it. Then they had recess and after that they just played some games in the classroom. It was a fun day at school for him, though tomorrow he had to do math and everything again. But today was fun. After school he and his friends walked home, where he said goodbye and went into his house. He collapsed on to his bed and fell asleep before being awakened by his mom for dinner.
