Chapter 1: Winds Blowing

Chapter Text

Beacon Hills was quiet, the kind of quiet that comes before storms.

Scott McCall, who became a true alpha not so long ago stood with his pack, as they discussed what could be done.

Deaton had warned them, but the doors were open, and it was becoming harder and harder to stay present. And not just ..float, in whatever spiral stuck them at the time.

But no one had it worse than Stiles. He would sometimes fall asleep, and there be pages he didn't remember writing, with just one sentence.

Wake up!

Then there was Kira.

Scott honestly didn't know what happened, but she looked like. Well a fiery fox would be an apt description.

Kids had been scared and didn't know what she was, even convinced she looked like a "demon from Hell", untill Derek, an older beta, looked at her and said, she is a kitsune. And there was that.

Now, Argent and Isaac went to track down this "Silverfinger", so they could manage to get information from him.

Apparently Argent had saved the guy's life on his first mission. And still has the broken mask of the ninja to prove it.

So here they were, hiding from shadow ninjas while Argent went to get information, with Isaac.

Then came the call from Argent.

"He said they are called the Oni, that they are unstoppable demons. And are looking for the one who is no longer themselves. Apparently there are thirteen kinds of kitsune, and there is one that feeds on pain, chaos, and destruction, it is called the Nogitsune. And whoever it is, we need to let the Oni destroy it. No matter who it is." And with that Argent hung up.

"It's me, it's me isn't it." Kira said, scared of herself more than the Oni breaking in though the mountain ash.

"Hey, Hey. It's not you, whatever you are, it's not evil, I refuse to believe it." Scott reassured her.

They stepped forward, just as two of the Oni got in, and stood there. They walked over hands in each other's, and the two Oni stepped forward.

And grabbed the back of their necks, and stared intently into their very souls. And they went down to their knees.

The Oni, not sensing anything not belonging there, marked them, with a backwards five, meaning "self", representing they are still themselves.

And with the sun coming up. The Oni wanished in a dark smoke.

And as Scott and Kira collapsed facing each other. There was nothing but relief in their faces.

Noshiko Yukimura was silent. So was her husband.

The Nogitsune was free again, and was destroying the Oni at an alarming rate.

Not to mention they still didn't know who it possessed. Though Noshiko had an idea.

The Nogitsune often takes the most strategic form. The wolves may think it would be one of them, or a supernatural, but not necessarily.

Noshiko hadn't been around for more than 900 years to not recognize the advantage of being human, and an intelligent one at that.

Indeed. She knew that the most likely person to be possessed was Stiles Stillinski.

The best friend of Scott McCall, who was a true alpha, and also her daughter's friend.

Even though wolves and foxes didn't get along, not just in fables and stories, but in real life even moreso, she knew that they had to use all the allies they had. That included the wolves.

The Nogitsune was a threat that was in everyone's best interest to see sealed once again.

When she thought about it she remembered her.

The werewolf who helped her defeat the Nogitsune the first time. Satomi Ito.

Just maybe it was time to call her again, she never did find out how she got out of the massacre alive to help her, and at the time was too shaken to question it.

But if she knew of a way to help, then calling her is of utmost importance. Regardless of who the Nogitsune is.

"You are thinking of calling her, aren't you?" She turned towards him, he had an unreadable expression on his face.

She knows the consequences of drawing another wolf pack into this. But she needs help, and answers. "It's the only way, she survived the last big mass killing due to the Nogitsune's influence, I need to know how she did it, and if possible could we use the same tricks."

Her husband sighed, but nodded. He too understood the importance of having a trick up their sleeve the Nogitsune did not know about.

And without further ado Noshiko called her old acquaintance.

This will end with the Nogitsune defeated, she would see to it.

It was a normal evening in the life of one Gregory House.

One did not simply go to Dr. House, unless something was seriously very wrong.

House had a reputation of being an asshole, and for his sexual jokes. Not to mention his racist ones. Please as if he cared whether you are white, black or blue.

Well he would care if you were blue, but from purely a medical point of view. Indeed many things that humans have fought over thousands of years are irrelevant to him.

But because he is not sugarcoating it everyone thinks he is racist. And he always laughs quietly to himself. Oh the irony.

These poor fools. If only they knew what he was, for Hell's sake, he wasn't even human.

Not that anyone knew that other than Wilson and Cuddy.

Yeah, Lisa Cuddy, Dean of Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, is in fact an alpha werewolf.

That kind of leadership and power shone through, and she is one of the few that could stand him, and sometimes even order him around. Though the tension is still there, because Cuddy knows what he is, and knows that ordering him around like he takes orders from her will end in disaster.

Disaster for the hospital, disaster for Cuddy, disaster for the patients, and doctors alike.

But, over the years they managed to create a rhythm that fits them both.

Cuddy gives him the cases doctors all over the world have given up on, and in exchange she lets him off with more than she would any other member of her staff.

Be they human or supernatural.

Then there was Wilson, who was...House's total opposite.

Where House was like fire, Wilson was like water, where House was chaos, Wilson was order, where House was pain, and misery, Wilson was quiet healing.

It had been almost twenty years now since they got married.

And they made their vows knowing it was for the duration of both their lifetimes.

Knowing they were signing up for centuries together.

And that was when in the middle of some problem with his newest patient, House got a phone call from a number that he hadn't heard from in two years.

Satomi was surprised when she received summons to Beacon Hills.

And from the old fox no less.

They have not talked since that fateful day, where they trapped the Void Kitsune together. And she did not think she would be called for many things.

Which meant the Nogitsune has returned.

Satomi Ito exhaled slowly, she was starting to get old. And she knew she will not live more than a decade at most, her pack was young.

After becoming an alpha she started a pack for strays, those that did not belong anywhere else. And so far her pack had 16 members not including her.

Thus, when Noshiko Yukimura called, and asked her to meet at Beacon Hills, telling her that it was urgent there was one question she needed to ask, which they both knew the answer to.

"It has returned?"

After a pause, and a breath so quiet, if she didn't have her werewolf hearing she would not have heard over the phone, the fox answered. "Yes."

And it was done, she would be going to Beacon Hills
