Chapter 1: When the body gives

Chapter Text

Monday.

The worst day of the week for Luna. Not because it's a new week and school was starting again.

No.

In contrast to everyone else her age, she loved school. It was the only place that she knew she'd be safe from everything happening.

You see Luna wasn't an ordinary 12 year old girl like everyone else. She didn't live with her parents like everyone else did.

She'd been living in foster home after foster home since she were 5 years old.

Her mother died in a car accident when she was only two years old, and that's when it all started.

Her father were highly abusive. So abusive that child services came in and took her away from her father and sent her to a foster home thinking that they were helping her.

Reality was a different case.

In home after home Luna got both verbally and physically abused everyday, but she's way to scared to ever say something about it to any of her teachers or any other adult that could maybe help her.

She knew that telling people would only make things worse for her. Either her foster parents would beat her up for it or she'd just be moved to another home that treated her horrible.

The new foster home would always be worst than the previous one so no matter how much Luna wanted out she kept her mouth shut and pretended like nothing was wrong.

The weekends were always way worse than the week days. It was no school meaning Luna didn't have a place to hide from her foster parents and foster sibling so it meant more beatings and insults getting thrown her way.

It was different over this weekend except it was even worse. She'd been beaten, insulted, sexually assaulted, starved and even kicked out in the freezing snow in nothing but a pair of thin silk pyjamas.

She hadn't been let in again until late that night. So she'd been spending eleven cold hours outside in the freezing snow.

She were just lucky that she didn't freeze to death or got hyperthermia.

Looking into the mirror at her bruised face that she were desperately trying to cover with some makeup but it wasn't really working.

The dark purple ish bruises were seen through the makeup no matter how hard she tried to cover it up.

She sighs frustrated by the situation. She hated this but she knew that this was what she deserved. She had been a bad girl and every bad girl deserved to be punished or at least that was what her foster family kept telling her.

A knock is heard on the twelve year olds bedroom door. She immediately tensed up hoping that it wasn't neither of her foster parents nor any of her fosters brothers.

They were the worst to her. Her foster sister Maggie wasn't always kind to her but she wasn't abusive at least.

The door opens quickly and to Luna's relief there was only Maggie who walked into the room.

She quickly closed the bedroom door and walked over to her younger foster sister. She herself were seventeen.

She were quite tall and thin with long blonde hair that went to right above her ass.

"Mom and dad have left for work. Brian and Samuel are taking you to school" she says slightly annoyed.

Luna didn't dare to look up at her older foster sister right now. She could tell that Maggie wasn't in a mood and her experience told her not to push it with her.

"Okay" she whispers back still not making eye contact with the tall blonde.

Maggie raise a suspicious eyebrow at the young girl in front of her. She walks over to her and crouch down in front of her lifting her chin uncovering the badly applied makeup.

With a sigh Maggie grabs Luna's hand and drags her up from the chair and out of the tiny bedroom that previously had been a storage closet.

They walk down to the hallway, down to Maggie's bedroom. Entering the much bigger room compared to her own. Luna sits down on the bed while Maggie get's her makeup.

She crouches down in front of Luna and gently starts wiping away the makeup trying not to hurt her as she does but still Luna hissed in pain.

"Sorry" Maggie says softly.

"Just get it over with" Luna whispers looking down fidgeting with her fingers.

With a nod Maggie continues what she's doing and before Luna knows it she was finished. Her bruises all covered by the makeup Maggie just applied.

"I need to go. Brian and Samuel is waiting for you downstairs" Maggie softly says.

Luna stares at with a blank expression on her face. She just get's up without saying a word, heading downstairs.

She could feel herself tense up walking downstairs. She knew exactly what to expect when she walked downstairs.

And just like she suspected she was right. Both of them were sat on the couch with a beer each in their hands.

By the looks of it and from previous accoutrements Luna knew that this wasn't their first beer and had a feeling that it wouldn't be their last of the day either.

"Look who the devil finally dragged out of bed" Brian slurs slight starting to feel the effect of the alcohol.

"Maggie said you were taking me to school" Luna whispers loud enough for them to hear but still quietly.

Brian and Samuel looks over at each other with a smirk on their face. They both get up from the couch at the same time starting to walk over to where Luma were stood.

Brian walks up behind her, pinning her arms behind her back while Samuel starts to slowly undress her but just on her lower body.

The more Luna tries to squirm away from Brian's grip, the tighter he holds her before pushing her down to the floor.

Laughing in her face Samuel sits down on top of her pushing his dick inside of her.

Tears start forming in Luna's eyes but she refuses to let them fall. She didn't want them to see her as weaker than they already did.

Laughing together they shifted on getting on top of her r@ping her while the other held her down.

The more she tried to escape, the more hits she received from them.

She let out a small whimper of pain as Brian pushed something inside of her. She wasn't sure what it was but one thing she knew and that was it hurt like hell.

Whatever was inside of her right now wasn't his dick that she was sure of.

~~~~~
The makeup all smudge out on her face she walks into class half an hour too late. But right now that was the last thing on her mind right now.
Her whole body were aching in pain. With every breath with every move, everything hurt right now.
But what hurt the most was her vagina. They'd raped her many times before but never before had she ever felt pain like this.
She could barley walk due to the pain but she were determined to make it over to her seat.
She were staring down at the ground in hopes that nobody could see the empty look of pain on her face.
Even though she wasn't looking she could feel the whole class staring at her as she slowly managed to walk down and take a seat.
The sound of the teacher Miss Honey talking were all muffled to her. She couldn't focus on anything beside the aching pain in her body.
Her foster brother's hadn't just raped her but beaten her over and over again until she laid there on the floor barley able to keep her eyes open.
She knew she could get away with not going to school but there was just a part of her that didn't want to be home when her foster parents got back from work.
She just had a strong feeling that no matter what she said to defend her actions she'd still have to pay for it.
She wraps her arms around herself. She'd changed out of her clothes that were stained with blood because of the beating but still she felt dirty.
She felt used.
She felt guilty.
Somehow she felt like this was all her fault. Like she deserved this punishment, and that it was her job to stop them from feeling like she were being too tempting not to touch.
Tensing up she felt a hand on her shoulder. Quickly despite the shooting pain in her body she turns around seeing her best friend Candice sat at the desk behind with a worried look on her face.
A more worried look then she'd ever had before. She could see the bruises that she'd tried to hide but because of the tears she'd cried now her makeup were ruined.
"You okay?" She mouths
Out of instinct Luna fakes a smile and quickly nods before turning back around again. If the pain wasn't bad enough it got even worse.
The room started spinning out of control. Her head was pounding, her ears were ringing and her vision was blurry.
She could barley see anything.
She leans forward clutching onto her stomach and let's out a loud groan of pain grabbing the whole class attention including the teacher.
All heads in the room turns towards her. Some were worried looks. Some were mocking looks. While other's wasn't really paying attention, not caring enough about Luna.
"Miss Gillies, are you okay?" Miss Honey asks but it all sounded so muffled for Luna.
She tries to stand up knowing that she needs to get out of the classroom but that were the biggest mistake she did.
Immediately she fell to the floor passing out, still holding onto her stomach.
Miss Honey runs down to Luna as quickly as she could kneeling down in front of her and that's when she notices it.
The blood on the chair and the blood that were slowly seeping through the pair of leggings that she are wearing.
With the bruises covering Luna's body and blood seeping through her pants, she figured out the puzzle pieces in her rather quickly.
With a worried expression the teacher lifts her head looking straight at three of Luna's best friends that were right by her side worried about her.
"Miss Crawford go get the principal right away and tell her to call the police" she speaks rushed with her voice laced with worry.
Jennifer Crawford doesn't say a word feeling like she were paralysed in fear staring down at her unconscious friend.
"JENNY!" Aurora screams getting the attention from her friend that's stood right beside her.
Jennifer snaps out of her thoughts and nods quickly before running out of the room to get some more help.
Miss Honey looks down at Luna again with a sad expression. Gently she strokes her hair back and let's out a soft sigh.
"You're okay sweetheart, you'll be fine" she whispers softly just hoping. No begging that, that was going to be the case and not just yet another tragic outcome.
~~~~

Flickering her eyes open Luna wakes up in a whole different room then she was in when she collapsed. She painfully sits up and looks around the room.

Still pretty out of it takes her a moment before she realises where she is.

In the nurse office.

Painfully she jumps down from the bench she were laid on. Still dizzy she stumbles and holds onto the wall for support as she start walking towards the door.

Just as she reaches the door it opens. She expected the nurse, a teacher or a principal for that matter but it was neither.

Two woman walk into the room.

One with shoulder long blonde hair, blue eyes and quite tall.

And the other with brunette hair that was put up in a messy bun with brown eyes and just a smidge taller than the blonde.

"Hi Luna, I'm captain Olivia Benson and this is detective Amanda Rollins" the brunette softly speaks with a kind smile on her face.

Feeling a panic rush inside of her upon hearing that they're cops instinctively Luna took a step back from them.

It was only one time before Luna had interacted with cops before and her experience from that wasn't a good one.

Amanda looks at Luna and see the panic in her eyes. She takes in the young girl's appearance as well.

Luna have long caramel brown hair that are put up in a ponytail, sage green eyes. Around 4'9 and quite thin.

Almost sickly thin.

She's so little and fragile covered in bruises. Some she can tell are fresher then others.

Still she's wearing the same leggings that have blood stains on them paired with a oversized hoodie that really belonged to her best friend Candice.

Amanda also notice the way Luna are holding her stomach as she were in pain.

Cautiously not wanting to scare the pre teen more than she already is she slowly starts walking over to her sitting down on one of the chairs by the bench she previously were placed on.

Olivia curiously lifts a brow at Amanda before fallowing her lead. She walks over and sat down on the chair beside Amanda.

Leaning a bit forward she rests her folded hands on her knees, looking over at Luna who still stood just a few inches away from the door.

"Luna we need to ask you a couple questions, is that okay?" She asks softly.

Luna stares blankly at the door. Her ears were still ringing and some sounds were still muffled to her so she didn't even hear Olivia speaking to her.

Her grip were placed on the wall. It was the only thing right now that were keeping her from collapsing to the ground but it was almost pointless.

Her legs kept shaking.

Just as her legs are about to give out she feels an arm wrap around her waist holding her up so she wouldn't fall.

She turns her head around and looks straight at Olivia. She didn't have that kind smile anymore. It was now replaced by worry.

"Let's sit down Luna" she says softly but with a hint of worry in her voice.

Luna looks over to were the chairs, couch and bench are stood neatly placed against the wall.

Even though it wasn't many feet away from her she knew that there was no way that she were going to make it without falling.

She looks down biting at her lip. She felt so embarrassed right now. Her whole body were aching even though some of the pressure from her throbbing pain was relieved when Olivia wrapped her arm around her waist.

She knew she needed help or someone carrying her over there but there was no way in hell that she would ask someone she'd just met to do that.

As if Olivia read her mind with one swift move she picked her up and carried her over to the couch gently placing her down on the couch, making sure that she doesn't accidentally hurt her.

Crouching down in front of her Olivia rests her hand on Luna's right knee, giving her a small encouraging smile.

"Can you tell us about the bruising sweetheart? Who did that to you?" She asks in a soft voice.

Luna looks down uncomfortably. She starts fidgeting with the bracelet around her wrist.

It belonged to her mother before she passed. Before she got removed from her biological father's care, she took it with her just wanting something with her to remind her of her mom.

She desperately wanted to tell someone the truth but she was terrified. She knew that if she opened her mouth she'd be punished later on.

And right now she couldn't handle being punished anymore. Her mind is so loud filled with dark thoughts

She rubs her arm and in the process accidentally pulling up her sleeves in the process.

When she realise she quickly pulls her sleeve back down again but it had already caught the attention to a specific person.

Olivia frowns.

She carefully grabs Luna's arm and pulls up the sleeve again revealing cuts that are still bleeding, some seems to be a bit deep in her skin.

Her heart ached for the blonde.

It didn't take a genius to know if someone were doing that to themselves they must be in so much pain or else they wouldn't of done it.

Gently Olivia reaches up and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before wiping away a tear that rolled down her cheek.

"How long ago did you hurt yourself Luna?" She asks softly.

She needed an answer but the last thing she wanted was to push the girl further than what they should do.

"Right before I want to school... I just wanted the pain to stop. I needed the pain to stop just for a moment" Luna whispers her voice cracking at the end but still she refused to let the tears she were so desperate to hold back fall.

Olivia and Amanda looks at each other sharing the same worried look on their face.

Amanda stands up from the chair slowly walking over to the girl, crouching down beside Olivia.

"Luna what happened?" She asks softly.

"They raped me..." Luna whispers looking down at her lap.

She presses her hand down on one of the bruises on her arm focusing on the throbbing pain it gives her.

Olivia gently leans forward, taking Luna's hand into her own not wanting her to hurt herself even further.

Softly she rubs her thumb in circles on Luna's hand trying to bring some comfort to the young girl in front of her.

"Who raped you sweetheart?" Amanda asks in a gentle tone of voice.

Luna looks up at both of the women in front of her. She was petrified. She just stared blankly at them unable to move or speak.

She wants to tell the truth.

She wants out of that family but deep down she knew that the next house would be ten times worse than what she already was in.

That was at least what her foster father and foster mother used against her any time she wouldn't listen to them or she started speaking up about what her foster brother's were doing to her.

"Luna?" Olivia asks softly.

Still there wasn't a response from the blonde. Only thing she were doing were staring ahead blankly barley blinking.

Silently playing the assault over and over again in her head. The memories of the two boys haunting her brain.
