Chapter Text

“Here just in folks, Hell’s Hottest Honcho is now the biggest bachelor on the block!” Katie Killjoy’s voice screeched through the Hotel’s lobby as 666 News played on the TV.

“His majesty has finalized his divorce with the former Queen of Hell, Lilith. And, good riddens! That good-for-nothing bitch-“

Katie continued to ramble on as sinners all across the lobby peered at the aforementioned King.

He stood there, in that fluffy pink robe of his, with those luxurious hair curlers strewn about.
Such a familiar sight.

“What? What did I do?” The angel spoke, many diverting their eyes in an instant as he continued to sip his coffee.

A sudden murky pool of black appeared from behind him, to form the figure of a deer-like entity.

“Your majesty,” a radio-pitched voice spoke up, “Surely, you should have realized by now that those garments of yours are unsuited for the current environment of the Hotel?”

Lucifer rolled his eyes in turn, “Whatever you say, Bellhop.”

“What would Charlie say about her precious father acting like a floozy in her establishment?”

“F-Floozy?!! What about me looks like a floozy to you!” Lucifer snapped back, a sudden puff of flame spewing out his mouth.

Those bold enough to dare continued to stare as the two bickered, the King’s movements causing the robe to lower on his shoulders, showing more of his pale white untainted skin.

Others, however, ran for it while they could.
They did not want to experience a repeat of the last incident.

“Why, the way you’re dressed seems like you’re trying to prowl about, like a harlot preying on their next lay-“

Crack.

The lobby splintered in two as the Radio Demon spoke.
“What did you say, you filthy sinner?”

“666 News, welcome back everyone!” Tom Trench spoke as he appeared on the device. “Tonight- eughhh!”

Tom fell off his chair as Katie shoved him.

“As Tom was saying, Hell recently had a sudden Hellquake! If any of you remember the last Hellquake we had, that was also rather sudden too! You see, these quakes are caused by the King of Hell himself, Daddy Lucifer!”

“A-As Katie said,” Tom tried to get back into his chair while speaking. “Lucifer is the reason for such sudden Hellquakes! That can only mean one th-THING!”

Katie shoved him off, once again.

“The last Hellquake we had was caused by the Radio Demon getting into a spat with our dear King,” Katie spoke, ignoring Tom’s sniffling. “While we are not aware of the cause of this one, I’m sure he’s somehow involved once again.”

“Alastor! What the fuck!” Charlie ranted as she yanked him by the ear- bleats of static coming off of him in waves.

She continued to speak as she dragged him to her office.

Charlie has certainly matured since the ongoings of Hell. The naive little princess Alastor met years ago was practically a different person from the one he knew now.

He was so proud!

Now, if only, she could stop pulling his ear! They were sensitive!

As they entered her office, Charlie dropped the aforementioned appendage- Alastor checking to make sure she didn’t leave permanent damage.

She was part-angel after all and her grip proved it.

It stung.

“What were you thinking?! Calling my dad a harlot in front of everyone! And, a floozy!!”

Ah, the Charlotte he knew from before would never have spoken to him in such a manner.

How lovely. He felt a wave of pride wash over him.

“I said nothing that wasn’t true” Alastor began to speak.

“Liar,”

A burst of static broke through the air.

“Pardon?”

She huffed, “Look, Al. I know you and Dad never truly got along, even after everything we’ve been through! But, he completely destroyed the lobby because of what you did! And, some sinners left the Hotel all together in fear!”

“And how is that my problem?”

“Al!”

He should have known they were going there.

“Charlie, my dear. You told me to aid you in your mission of diverting sinners’ attention away from your Father because of his new status as a divorcee! I simply did what I believed was the best course of action at the time!”

“Alastor,” She quipped back with a firm tone.

“Did you not see him?! He was wearing that god-awful robe of his in front of everyone!! Did you not see how some of the guest leered at him?! I was doing him a favor!”

“By insulting him in front of everyone?! By calling my father a whore?!” Charlie growled, her horns suddenly bursting.

“You’re correct that I certainly could have used more tact,” Alastor answered back rather quickly. “But, I wanted your Father out of the way before anyone dared get bold enough to speak with him!”

Sometimes, Alastor forgot how truly terrifying Charlie could be when she put her mind to it. He did not want a fight with her.

He could still feel the phantom pains of their first one.

Charlie heavily sighed, clenching her fists as her horns reverted back. “Fine, I get what you were trying to do. Thank you for at least trying! But please, be nicer about it next time?”

“Of course my dear, anything for you.”

“I mean it Al,” Ah, there was that growl again. “And, I want you to apologize to my Father before the end of the day. Got it?”

“Of course,” He answered, before whisking himself away with his shadows.

At least he got to live another day.

She truly was the Princess of Hell he always envisioned, and it was no wonder why Lucifer adored her.

A daughter of Pride, itself!

How was he going to apologize to Lucifer of all people?

Fuck.
