They did it.
Belos was finally gone, the only trace left of him was the green stain in the red grass and the traumatized souls of the people of the Boiling Isles.
The first thing Amity did when she found out he was defeated was look for her girlfriend; well, after everyone from the archives was released of course.
She ran to the Owl House with a huge grin on her face, excited to see her lover after having multiple near-death experiences. Amity opened the door, expecting to see everyone hugging and reuniting with the people they were scared to lose, instead she saw Raine comforting Eda as she cried into their shoulder carrying King who was crying too. With a look of confusion her gaze shifted over to Camila, who, just like the others, had tears streaming down her face. Maybe they had seen more than her?
Amity looked around the entirety of the room, trying to find the familiar face of the girl who changed her for the better. “Where’s Luz?” she asked, raising an eyebrow as she clutched the ends of her dress.
Everyone in the room looked up at her with pity before Eda spoke up, “She’s—” the older witch cleared her throat “She’s gone, kid..”
Those words hit Amity like a truck, her knees began shaking and it soon became hard to breathe. “What do you mean she’s gone?” tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill.
“After the powers of the Titan were gone, she was too.” Raine replied.
Amity shook her head in disbelief and the tears were flowing down her face and leaking onto her costume. “No, no, no..” suddenly the world felt like it was closing in on her. The witchlet fell on to her knees and cried, hard.

Present
The brown-haired witch walked towards a tall tree with pink leaves surrounding the base, holding a bouquet of lilies in her hands. Her purple hair dye had long faded and the witch couldn’t bring herself to redye it, as it would bring back memories that hurt to think about.
Once she reached the tree, she looked down at the tombstone that read “Here lies the body of a girl who was a fighter, savior, lover, and a very, very good witch. Luz Noceda.”
Amity wiped her eyes and knelt down to the grave. She placed down her ex-lover’s favorite flowers in front of the tombstone and took a deep breath. Her hand trembled slightly and moved to clutch the ends of her light purple dress.
“Sorry I haven’t visited in a while, mi amor.” Amity looked down at her dress and smiled sadly. “I remembered when you said I look good in purple, I decided to wear it today!” she chuckled bittersweetly, which didn’t last long before she broke into sobs.
“I miss you so much, batata.. We were supposed to get married, and have children, and.. and grow old together. Can you tell I’ve been practicing my Spanish?” the brunette wiped the wetness from her eyes and sniffled.
“La gente me dice que siga adelante, pero no puedo. Empecé a cortar de nuevo, sé que no querrías que lo hiciera, pero Titán, es muy difícil.” Amity looked at her wrists and scowled. Why would she do this to herself? Luz wouldn’t want this for her. She would want her to be happy and live her life to the fullest.
But, unfortunately for Amity, it was quite hard to do so when the love of your life will forever remain out of your grasp. The closest she could get to being with her was between death and sitting here, having a one-sided conversation with a block of stone.
And she constantly had her mind on the first option. She would give a kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder. If it meant she could see Luz she would pull the moon from its favorable position in the sky.
Everyone worried for Amity after Luz died. She retreated back into her mean girl persona to cover that she was hurting, she didn’t want anyone to see how vulnerable she was.. well, besides one person.
Soon she had lost all the friends she worked so hard to gain, now she was just the girl that needed to move on. Everyone else did, so why couldn’t she?
“I got a job at Hexside, also one at the library but it’s a part-time job. Yesterday I was reading them about the fall of the reign of Belos, they asked me what happened to you..” the witch’s hands played in her hair and she swallowed the lump in her throat before continuing her story “—I told them that you were the greatest witch that ever lived, heh, funny how you took the title of your mentor, huh?” more fresh tears ran down her cheeks and she dug the heels of her palm into her eyes.
“I wish you were here, there’s this little girl in my class named Aurora, she reminds me so much of you. She’s so optimistic and loves learning new things.” Amity’s scroll began to ring and she frowned.
“Looks like I have to leave, miss you espléndida.” she stood up and clutched the ends of her dress again. Amity walked away and towards a cliff.
“I’ll see you very soon, my love.”
She whispered to the heavens as she jumped.
And suddenly the world went quiet.
