[NOTE: This is an outdated information log about SCP-██935, please see SCP-██935-00-1a for the latest updated information, Level 3 clearance and above are required to view the updated information log]
Item #: SCP-██935 | “Nice”
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-██935 is to be contained within the premises of Site [REDACTED]-X, in [REDACTED] City of [REDACTED] Nation. Entry into Site [REDACTED]-X is restricted to Level 3 clearance or higher, excluding Security personnel and ground crew. Any civilian staff are to be accompanied by an armed Guard at all times, no exceptions. Site [REDACTED]-X is fully underground, clearance for exit to above grounds depends heavily on SCP-██935’s whereabouts for the day.
SCP-██935 is allowed a maximum of 3 hours daily of outdoor time, during which the electric fence surrounding the compound is to be active and a dome of pulsed electricity is to be erected over the area. Both need to be active at the same time, SCP-██935 is not cleared for exiting the premises until both fence and dome are active. Entry into and Exit from Site [REDACTED]-X is prohibited during SCP-██935’s outdoor time, lockdown protocols apply. SCP-██935 is to be monitored at all times by a squad of four (4) Guards while above ground, no more and no less. (See Incident Report-39 for more information.)
Otherwise, SCP-██935 is allowed free reign within Site [REDACTED]-X’s compound. He stays primarily on the deepest floor of the facility, access only granted through an exclusive elevator to minimize risk of containment breach. The basement is reinforced with a minimum of 5 layers of steel and concrete and furnished in a minimalistic luxurious manner similar to a Penthouse suite. Personnel wishing to access SCP-██935’s floor must have a Level 4 clearance or higher.
Do not disturb Him after hours, the Foundation will not be held liable for what occurs behind closed doors. All staff are reminded to watch SCP-██935’s moods, do not interact with Him under any circumstances if He displays even the slightest hint of annoyance.
Description: SCP-██935 appears as a handsome 5’10” male of unknown descent in his early to mid twenties. Varying reports from Foundation Personnel had described literal facial and body fractures, much like a broken porcelain vase, held together by a dark purple substance resembling tar. The fractures react to SCP-██935’s various moods and seem to get worse or close up depending on what He is feeling that day.
SCP-██935 responds to “Nice” as an alias, reportedly being more responsive when His preferred term of address is used while His tagged number receives derision and outright hostility. Multiple Foundation Personnel have reported seeing SCP-██935’S form change into [DATA EXPUNGED], once hostile. All Staff are reminded to treat SCP-██935 with basic respect and use His preferred term of address, lest we trigger another Containment Breach. (See Addendum-██935.01 for more information.)
SCP-██935 posseses anomalous speed and strength far beyond human capabilities, and suspected Paranormal powers that have not been demonstrated explicitly but have been known to occur during Containment Breaches. Additionally, SCP-██935 is also capable of flight, able to break through even the electric barrier. The Subject possesses the physique of a Ballet Dancer, and demonstrates flexibility and grace of such body types.
Not much is known about the full extent of SCP-██935’s capabilities, pending active investigations at minimum risk to Foundation Personnel, and unless provoked to a certain extent, Containment remains a non-issue.
Presently, when SCP-██935’s mood has worsened for more than 5 minutes, entering a state of hostility indicated by flickering lights, the Subject will proceed to eliminate all living beings within a 50 mile radius if He remains in such a state. High-grade Tranquilizers are recommended to be administered while SCP-██935 is in a Hostile state as once the elimination starts, the Subject will be impossible to pin down and will not stop until every living being is completely eradicated from the premises.
To date, SCP-██935 has eliminated [REDACTED] known individuals and destroyed [REDACTED] Site locations resulting in multiple Containment Breaches of other SCPs. Site [REDACTED]-X is meant to minimize such risks by housing only SCP-██935, Foundation Personnel are reminded to remain vigilant and avoid triggering another Containment Breach.
Addendum-██935-01, File logs:
Incident Report from [DATA EXPUNGED] has been attached as a recent example of why it is imperative that SCP-██935 be treated with respect befitting of His station. Access to this incident log will require a Level 3 clearance and above, make sure prior approval is obtained before accessing this Addendum.
Site [DATA EXPUNGED], Interview log ██935-04:
Interviewer: Dr Benedict ████
Interviewee: SCP-██935, “Nice”.
Interview location: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Note: Whilst Dr Benedict ████ had obtained prior approval for the interview, it is led to believe that he had ulterior motives when going into this interview and those motives do not align with Foundation protocol or policies. The following interview logs were retrieved and dictated from the recording device that had survived the incident.
-
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr Benedict ████: I’ll start the recording now, do you have any questions for me before we begin, SCP-██935?
“Nice”: I’d prefer if you referred to me as “Nice” instead of the tag, thank you.
Dr Benedict ████: (waving dismissively) Of course, yes, how are we feeling today, SCP-██935?
“Nice”: … I’m feeling alright, thank you for asking, how about-
Dr Benedict ████: Great, anyway to business then, I’ve been led to believe according to past information that you’ve willingly entered containment?
“Nice”: … Yes.
Dr Benedict ████: Why?
“Nice”: (He smiles and folds his hands in front of him on the table, facial cracks widening a little, Dr Benedict ████ either pretends not to notice or ignores the first warning signs) I don’t think you are qualified to know, may I skip this question?
Dr Benedict ████: No, I’m asking the questions here, and I’m asking you why you willingly entered containment, answer the question.
“Nice”: (his smile drops, the cracks widen further and the light in the interrogation room flickers once, the second warning) I’d prefer not to say, but if you truly must know, I am looking for someone.
Dr Benedict ████: (looks surprised) Looking for someone? Who?
“Nice”: You do not need to know.
Dr Benedict ████: No, I believe as your handler, I am more than qualified to know the reason as to why you’re here.
“Nice”: … I do not know their name but they are someone I would personally recognize at a glance-
Dr Benedict ████: I need a description, SCP-██935, the sooner you answer the faster we can end this interview.
“Nice”: (He remains silent for some time, staring at Dr Benedict ████ which agitates him, raising his voice)
Dr Benedict ████: Stop staring and answer the quest- (There is a brief choking sound before chaos ensues, a scream cut off followed by violent sounds of ripping flesh and splashing viscera before going silent)
[END LOG]
Audio recording only captured up to this point, and promptly after, a Containment Breach that resulted in the complete annihilation of Site [DATA EXPUNGED] occurred. The Containment Breach also led to several SCPs’ escape, several of which are still not retrieved as of current day. The Council had decided that SCP ██935 was too volatile to be kept with other SCPs as a result of this incident and hence, created Site [REDACTED]-X to hold Him.
Make no mistake and do not be fooled by his charming smile, SCP-██935 remains a volatile threat operating on His own motives as Dr Benedict ████ had found out before his unfortunate demise. Protocols are put in place for a reason, and the Foundation urges all staff to exercise caution when dealing with SCP-██935.
Lin Ling wasn’t entirely sure what the SCP that had been unceremoniously dumped into his lap looked like. He’d read through the required files of course, his shiny new badge offering Level 3 clearance (which Lin Ling had promptly got excited about for all of 30 seconds before realizing his new “promotion” probably came with an equivalent amount of risk). Meh, the researcher’s lounge offered a better spread of coffee though, and less office mooches that always stole the good stuff to hoard like a deranged squirrel. Which was a good enough trade-off Lin Ling supposed.
Anyway, back to the SCP, Lin Ling had been trying for the better part of 2 weeks to find more information. Scouring whatever archives he could access and get his hands on (which was a lot, level 3 clearance and all) for even a sliver of information, a rare photograph perhaps, something to give the young man a faint clue as to what the SCP actually LOOKED like.
But there were none, save for an audio recording that traumatized him and gave him night terrors for weeks. Not a single picture or description save for what was already indicated in the Information Log, which wasn’t a lot by the way, “handsome and in his early twenties” was barely a description let alone informative enough for Lin Ling to be able to identify his new charge.
It wasn’t that Lin Ling was dying for a chance to interview a Euclid Class SCP, no no, he likes his life very much and cherishes it just enough that he knows any interaction with the SCP comes with its own warning label. But he had a job to do and a quota to fulfil by the end of the week and he was reaching the end of his rope.
If he wanted to, he supposed, if he was really desperate enough, Lin Ling thinks he could take the exclusive elevator down to where SCP- ah, no, Nice resided. Logistically, he’d have to send in an application for review and approval but that could take upwards to 2 weeks, just to receive a Level 4 clearance. It wasn’t impossible though, especially since he was technically supposed to be the new handler.
But that was akin to walking naked right into a tiger’s den, covered in slabs of meat with a huge blinking neon sign labelled “Eat me”.So yeah, last option it was.
He supposed he could also just… schedule an interview with the… man, subject? Item? No, Nice disliked being associated with the Foundation so man it was, Lin Ling decides. Lin Ling’s hands quivered slightly as he sipped a cup of water, regretting the 4th cup of coffee he’d consumed in the last 3 hours.
Sleep never came easy to him since he’d started his job at the Foundation. Not for lack of exhaustion or desire to escape into unconsciousness of course, but mostly due to his fear of what happens when he is entirely vulnerable in his dorms. They were guarded obviously with state-of-the-art security measures and highly trained security guards, but plenty of SCPs had found ways to bypass that and being transferred here to Site- Nice’s abode did not help matters in that department.
The job paid too well to quit though. Not that Lin Ling really needed the money at this point but he was also just afraid of the consequences if he did quit. And, well, he does like the job.
He hates the overtime, the sterile walls and the noisy LED lights that always seem both too bright and too dark at the same time. He hates his (now previous) boss’ demands of meeting quotas at the expense of his team, sometimes literally as Lin Ling tried to count the amount of times he’d lost a coworker to a reckless experiment.
The answer was too many. He’d lost too many to quit now, and his new environment, while quiet, was discomfittingly so and Lin Ling didn’t like it.
Which leads him right back to Square one.
Lin Ling could only sigh, staring at the blank screen of his assigned office terminal, the computer mockingly a bright blank page.
He’ll think about it more tomorrow, he supposed.
He found him. His beloved, taken form once again; this time in the form of an adorable brown haired young man. And if the files Nice was provided were to be believed, his new handler.
Nice smiles, he will not let this opportunity go again.
