‘’Ugh.!’’ Kai groaned in frustration, his face was hurting from how scraped it was from the floor, he’s also so bruised up. Cinder didn’t look any better. His nose and mouth contorted the same blood, Kai definitely knew that they both were smeared in each other’s blood. Heavy panting came from the both of them.
‘’Now I could call you the red ninja.’’ And now the smoke master had the audacity to crack a joke in the middle of their fight. Does he always just drop an one-liner out of nowhere to tease?
‘’You are SO unfunny.’’ Kai spat out, giving one more hit to Cinder’s face before losing all his physical strength. Making the elemental of smoke take advantage of the other.
‘’Any last words, red ninja?’’ The unwavering creeping smile that creaked at the corners of the smoke master, evolving into a smirk.
Oh he isn't gonna get away with this that easily, not with the elemental master of fire.
"No, but!" Kai had then started to grin widely, a type of grin you'd usually just see when Kai had something under his sleeve. The evil smile that Cinder had earlier faded into a confused expression.
Kai cupped Cinder's cheeks, causing the master of smoke's eyebrows to narrow as his frown stayed still. What was the fire ninja possibly planning?!
Cinder was about to take his grip away from Kai's arms when suddenly Kai smashed his lips onto his. The contrast of their blood and saliva mixing together. Cinder wanted to let go, but something in him started reciprocating the kiss. He latched onto Kai's hair—for trying to be the dominant one and for balance.
The kiss broke abruptly, heavy panting coming from both sides as the string of saliva hung in between them freely.
"Seriously, that's your plan?" Cinder answered uninterested—or well, atleast tried to. His eyebrows furrowed, trying to read Kai.
"Who knows." Kai traced his chin—soft fabric brushing against Cinder's skin and his bloodied wounds.
Cinder, who was still in the same position as prior—was completely baffled by the act. Though, he did enjoy it, but he'd rather kill himself than admit that going into a deep kiss after a fight with your rival actually made him excited. His eyes deepened as Kai glanced at Cinder and chuckled.
"Wanna see more?" The words rang out from the fire ninja—sounding familiar back at the blood moon ritual. Cinder hesitated, still staring at the master of fire—still processing the kiss. Focusing was hard when you're being sandwiched between the floor and your rival on top of you.
'Is it part of the shatterspin effect or is he really THAT shocked? Jeez, they really should take ras away from that gong.' Kai thought to himself as the silence stretched wider.
"Sure." Cinder replies grinning widely, showing a bit of his canine teeth, "Show me what you can do, ninja."
The signal was obvious—Cinder's hunger visibly showing as he waited for Kai to give him more of that feeling. Kai leaned back into the elemental master of smoke and little more roughly, biting into the flesh of Cinder's lips.
Cinder groaned in response, hitting Kai in the shoulder—not hard enough to bruise but hard enough to feel it. They continued on like this, occasionally insulting each other mid kisses.
Everyone was messy and unplanned—yet the tension was still there. Cinder felt himself shivering—not out of fear—but out of exhilaration. The combination of a warm body fighting against a chilled one.
Kai felt Cinder's arm swing around his neck, dragging him deeper into the kiss. Maybe it's just Cinder himself imagining things—but his shatterspin surely wore off by that point, though he could care less. He wanted to savor this moment. Every drop of it.
"You fucking asshole." Cinder whimpered in anger as soon he broke free from the kiss. His lifeless eyes filled with rage but also something more than that.
"Insult me all you want, Cinder," Kai leaned closer, the smell of blood inevitably in the air, "but between you and I, we both want this."
Cinder didn't argue—his eyes drifted away from Kai's face while a sound of a scoff had faintly come out of his mouth.
"Ugh fine!" He belts, "You win you lustful piece of shit!" He admitted loudly, embarrassment flooding in him alongside defeat.
"Why thank you." Kai chuckles lowly, still not getting off from Cinder—staying still in tangled legs and his left hand still interlocked with Cinder's. He gave one last kiss—short, but unlike the other times, it was sweet.
Cinder felt himself overheating by this point, he wanted to shout at Kai, tell him how bad he was at being a ninja.
But he couldn't, his mouth refused to move. He was still wondering how Kai hadn't gotten away from him yet, his position still in place—faces inches away from another hateful yet blissed kiss.
Cinder's eyes were still on Kai, his face neutral but somewhat soft looking. Kai had done the same. Both seemed to realize something yet couldn't place it nor didn't want to name it.
The blood had long dried from their faces as the saliva still sticked onto them both from their sloppy acts.
Kai's eyes landed on Cinder's neck, still untouched despite all the ruckus that had happened. He leaned close enough to hear Cinder's breath shaking slightly. He looked up—seeing Cinder's pupils having slowly moved to glance at Kai, seemingly aware of what he was gonna do.
Kai waited in case, seeing if Cinder was gonna change his mind. The latter hadn't budged—only giving a slight slow nod.
Cinder lifted his head to the side while Kai already went in for the hit, nibbling on parts of the neck, his hands firmly resting on Cinder's shoulders while doing so.
Cinder thought he would hate this moment, but something about it felt intimate—it felt more like love rather than hate now. He could feel Kai's gentleness in his actions, he felt himself looser than usual.
The pressure from Kai's teeth on his flesh made him dizzy, ticklish even. He doesn't even remember being ticklish. He held back a subtle moan, he surely was letting himself way too vulnerable.
Kai let go, staring at the few bite marks he'd given the smoke master. They were tender and bruised, smirking in victory.
"Too much?" He questioned even with his smile remaining.
"Kind of." Cinder leaned his head on Kai's chest—eyes tired and exhausted.
Kai left a soft chuckle, letting him rest there. Both having completely forgot what they were doing in the first place.
"I hate you." The words were obvious but the body language told otherwise of what Cinder had wanted to say.
No response was made, only Kai wrapping his arms around Cinder. The quiet slowly surrounding them.
