Original summary:
Then the thing he'd summoned beams at Grian, and despite the sharp fangs and ashy color of the lips, Grian knows that smile. The bright sunlight of Scar having accomplished something, too delighted with himself to keep the feeling inside his own body.

"...Scar?" Grian asks, feeling every inch the idiot he'd been to get into this mess.

It nods, hovering back close into his personal space, reaching down and beginning to fuss with-

A scream of pain tears itself free from Grian, and he passes out.

or:
Grian messes with some magic he shouldn't have while desperate, and gets himself and Scar tangled up in a new magical bond as well as their old soulmate bond.

I am so so sorry it took so long to post any of this! I haven't been in the Hermitcraft fandom for months which has really killed my motivation. And made my reading voice sound bland- I'd rather have a podfic take years to create than a bland unappealing sounding work!
So I figure I'd post the first part I recorded and slowly keep making more rather than record it all and then post
When I first read this work I really loved it and then subscribed and binge read the next parts when they came out so I really really don't want this to sound poorly
