Chapter Text
Mafioso gathered his men and any forces they could: Shedletsky, Brighteyes, even Jane Doe, Builderman’s daughter and only child, communed to rush into the abandoned prison and rescue the captive Builderman from whoever had taken him. And also Finn McCool from BlockTales… because… why not?
“Alright, people, listen up!” Mafioso barked, his voice firm, though worry was tinted in it still. “No matter what happens, we leave with Builderman. Got it?!”
Everyone either nodded or said: “Yes Boss!/Yes Mafioso!”
Jane Doe fidgeted with her hat nervously, while Shedletsky messed with the feathers on his head. Brighteyes was trying to stay positive, but the worry and sleeplessness was evident.
The group departed from the Sonnelino Residence, hurrying towards the prison. Soldier glanced back, and noticed a red glare from one of the other mafia members. He paused, hesitant, having been the only one to see it, nobody would’ve believed him… So he stayed quiet.
This action will have consequences…
When the group rushed in, Builderman was conscious with a shaded figure inside. The figure was covered in blood staining their head, clothes, and hands. But they were out of sight… For now.
“BUILDSY!” Mafioso exclaimed, rushing towards the door. “Urgh, how do I unlock this…”
“MAFI!!” Builderman gasped, relief and worry in his eyes. “1x1x1x1… They’re trying to fool you…!”
“1x1x1x1… Of course she’s behind this.” Mafioso growled, annoyed by 1x1x1x1’s behavior. “Don’t worry, Buildsy, we’ll get you out of here, I promise.”
Contractee, Consigiliere, Soldier, and Finn McCool all hurried forward to unlock the cell, rushing inside and seeing the identity of the figure…
“Caporegime?” Contractee asked, gently shaking him back awake.
“Ugh…” Caporegime muttered, rubbing his bleeding head in pain. “Wha-...? N-No… Get out of th-”
Before Caporegime could finish, the Caporegime outside the cell slammed the door shut and broke the button, locking Builderman and the mafia men inside. Mafioso, Jane Doe. Shedletsky, and Brighteyes all looked to the Caporegime outside the cell as a metallic, glitchy laugh bounced off the walls. Windows XP style error messages and heavy glitches consumed the fake Caporegime and 1x1x1x1 emerged from the glitches. “Y0u 4ll w3r3 s0 34sy t0 f00l~!”
Mafioso tensed, lunging forward with rage in his eyes under the shadow covering it. But 1x1x1x1 nodded to the shadows, and a tendril of ink appeared, smacking Mafioso back to Brighteyes, Jane Doe, and Shedletsky as (what we’d call them, post-Forsaken) Azure appeared from the shadows, tendrils swirling from their back. “Y0u r34lly th1nk 1t’d b3 th4t 34sy? H4H4H4HH44HH4H4H4H4H4!!!” 1x1x1x1 laughed loudly, Azure laughing with them.
“Urgh…” Mafioso groaned, rubbing his head before glaring at the two furiously. “We’re not leaving without Builderman. I’ll kill both of you if you stand in my way!” He lunged again, this time with Jane Doe, Brighteyes, and Shedletsky racing forward to help, weapons in hand as a fight ensued.
~~~
Soldier quickly untied Builderman as Contractee bandaged Caporegime’s wounds. “Boss, you alright? Those look severe…” Soldier muttered, grimacing as he saw the true extent of both Caporegime and Builderman’s injuries.
Finn McCool and Consigiliere stood off to the side, glancing around the cell to see if there was ANY way to get out. “Ugh…” Consigiliere groaned, clearly disgusted by the nasty, dusty cell. “This cell is so nasty! Couldn’t 1x’ve cleaned it, at least?!”
“Let’s focus on getting out of here first,” Finn interrupted, glancing at the locked door, “and helping those who are fighting the others out there for Buildsy’s freedom.”
The sounds of clashing weapons and pained shouts echoed outside the cell, insinuating a possibly bloody, rough fight occurring just outside. Soldier set Builderman back on the chair, letting him sit up on his own, before grabbing his crowbar and swinging at the door. Despite the building being in ruins, the doors still held firm. They’d been built to last, clearly… That crowbar wasn’t getting them out. “Damnit…” Soldier mumbled, rubbing his eyes tiredly. “This door isn’t budging.”
Finn McCool, getting a stupid idea, smirked and raised his bat at seeing a loose brick in the wall. “Guys, trust me, I got this!” With a large swing, he slammed his bat with full force into the wall, the bricks of the wall crumbling slowly. “Holy- It worked!”
The mafia men all paused, glaring at the hole in the wall in surprise. “I-... How the fuck did you do that?!” Contractee muttered in alarm. Consigiliere was not hesitating, running out of the cell and complaining about the dust. One by one, everyone scrambled out of the cell, Builderman included. The mafia soldiers all drew their weapons, prepared to battle 1x1x1x1 and Azure to take Builderman back safely with them.
