The boy scowled. “Who says I’ve done anything wrong?” he snapped.
“Experience,” Edward said pointedly. The young man turned his head, muttering under his breath. “So, I take it was that bad, huh?”
Edward knew better than to stick his nose in other people’s business, and if a stranger ever tried to coax him into spilling the beans about his personal life with Tabitha, he’d tell them to jog on. But there was something about the boy that pulled at his heartstrings, and minding his own business flew out the window. That, and he was bored out of his mind waiting for his girls. Entertainment of any kind was most welcome.
