◇ BASICS - why bottom jayce week? ◇

It's nice to be the bunny sometimes. At the moment of writing, the #Jayvik tag on A03 is over 14,000 works long - but Bottom Jayce only shows up in 5% of that total. (The number for Top Viktor is even smaller, due to mistagging.) We'd like to make that genre a little bigger, and give anyone interested in it the chance to reach a slightly larger audience.

Same goes for art! This is a hashtags & A03 collection event: there is no sign-up or official discord. Just come along and do your best! Though of course, this is for adults only.

◇ Isn't "Sub" the same as "Bottom"? ◇

Top & Bottom describe sexual positions: the Top penetrates, the Bottom is penetrated. On the other hand, Dom & Sub are BDSM roles: they describe dominant and submissive attitudes in bed, but aren't intrinsically linked to a single sexual position.

The focus of this event is giving Top Viktor x Bottom Jayce their moment in the spotlight. You may dom/sub in whatever configuration your heart desires, only the sexual positions are locked. This is first and foremost a Jayvik event, made in an effort to explore different approaches to their bedroom dynamic; it's just as much about finding fun ways to depict Top Viktor as it is about Bottom Jayce -- we just needed a catchy name for it.

◇ Do I have to do ALL of those, every day? ◇

No! Multiple options are provided for variety, pick just 1 per day if you prefer! Feel free to also Interpret & fashion the themes to your liking - we've gone for topics covering a broad range, so you decide your approach. E.G. "Monsterfucking" can refer to the arcane herald or werewolves/ vampires/ aliens/ black lagoon creature etc. "Body augmentation" includes anything from steampunk prosthetics to hexcore tentadicks (or phalloplasty!) "Size difference" may refer to toys or cosmic macro/micro & so on.

◇ When can I submit my work? When does the collection close? ◇

The collection will be open to submissions MAY 5 - midnight (GMT-3). While the event formally ends by MAY 11, this collection will be working with a grace period for any late joiners before it is permanently closed, last call for all submissions is May 31. Chaptered works are welcome! You just need to get the *first* chapter uploaded to the collection before the deadline is up. Any other updates after that point are up to you, and will still remain in the event archive.

◇ Do all submissions need to be PWP? ◇

Not really. As long as your work contains the core event dynamic, longform story-based submissions are welcome in the collection. Creative license on what counts as penetration (such as 'does fingers in his head count as mindfuck?' 'is thighfucking ok?') is also in effect. There is wiggle room.

◇ Can I submit artworks to the AO3 collection? ◇

Yes! Art/Comics/Anything supported by AO3 as a website can be submitted during this event.

◇"Wait, can Viktor even Top?" “Isn't he disabled/trans? Wouldn't that be hard?"◇
Viktor is perfectly capable of topping; we'd like to encourage everyone to think outside the box here. The assumption that he's unable to fill this role is rooted in ableist biases and does a disservice to his character - nobody needs to rely on that; it sucks. Besides, there are plenty of sex toys and accessories in our world that accommodate the needs of disabled (and trans!) people. And beyond our world's limitations, there's arcane powers and all sorts of hex-augmentation...

Think on it: dildos, straps, plugs, machines, tentacles - don't have a dick? Make one! Already have a dick, but worried about your stamina? Check out sex swings, gloves, arcane threads, or hell, let Jayce do half of the work. They're engineers, they'll find a way around it. (If you're interested in post-canon, it may be fun to explore how Jayce's disability also factors into their sex life.)

◇1◇ Please tag your fic content appropriately:
We highly encourage the use of the Bottom Jayce and Top Viktor tags at the bare minimum, but it'd be great to see tags for any of the major themes/kinks/TW's on your works too. The Old Mage Viktor and Machine Herald tags are highly useful for archiving if you're utilizing a different version of the character. Please note that Machine Herald refers to the league of legends champion pre-arcane; if you're writing Viktor's final form in the TV show, it's best to use Arcane Herald.
◇2◇ There is no minimum wordcount for written submissions.
◇3◇ Works must be focused on Top Viktor x Bottom Jayce.
◇4◇ Entries that don't follow the guidelines will be removed. Them's the breaks.
