Our Challenge Mode for this year is 'Existing Projects'! Contrary to our usual rules, we are accepting chapters for older stories as fills for the week. We encourage you to dust off those old WIPs, let the prompts above reignite the flames of inspiration, and get some new chapters out! (Or maybe even wrap some things up!)

Summary
King Bruce is missing, and the kingdom of Gotham has fallen to Defiance's budding empire. Crown Prince Richard has personally dueled the invading king and lost.
Now, the Wayne Princes face execution, enslavement, or worse, unless they can escape or make a bargain with King Wilson.
Luckily for all of them, King Wilson and Prince Richard have a long history that leaves Wilson reluctant to kill him. Unfortunately, there's a wide range of fates between being happy and being dead, and King Wilson isn't known for being merciful.

Day 1: Dick Grayson Has Issues / Possessiveness / Reluctant Soulmates
After a fight with Bruce that goes too far and has catastrophic results, Dick has to pick up the pieces and step into a role he's not entirely sure he's ready to take.
Slade is there to provide assistance... For a price, of course.--
The moment the man finally leaned back out of his space, straightened up to his full height, Dick stood as well. He hauled off and gave him a pretty solid right hook, and although Slade hardly even stumbled, it was satisfying.
Slade straightened again, looked him in the eye, and merely nodded.
“That one is free, Robin,” He told him, “Next time, though, I assure you we will fight."
“I can live with that.”
