- #The Murderbot Diaries in-universe: fics that involve Murderbot having shared its "The Murderbot Diaries" to the world
- #Characters create fanworks: fics where MBD characters create fanworks
- #Characters as fans: fics where MBD characters otherwise participate in stuff because they are Fans; visiting the stage sets of Sanctuary Moon, etc.

When a function calls another one, that's recursion.
When the last thing a function does is call another function, that's useful for technical reasons (compiler optimization) so it has it's own name: a "tail call"
