After months of marriage, Aegon and Helaena have failed in their duties, which means Alicent must supervise their attempt to produce an heir.
Aegon has never been one to listen to instruction and now is no different. “I have done this before, you know,” he snaps.
Despite–or perhaps because of–what she just told him, Aegon moves too quickly – thrusts too hard. Helaena does her best to bear it, but Alicent recognizes the hidden signs of discomfort in her daughter’s flushed face.
