Any expression fell clean from Kix’s face. They weren’t dead yet, so that meant the troopers were doing their job but unless they got reinforcements soon, a whole lot of people were going to die. Kix took a deep breath and asked, “How do I get there?” He resigned; eyes closed in sorrow. So willingly.
He had to get there, he had to get there before it was too late- well, if it was too late, he’d never know it. He’d be vaporized out of existence before his heart could pump his blood out of itself.
He could hear that familiar sound of crackling fire and Kix suddenly wished he’d stayed on Ringo Vinda. The battlefield was straight forward, each battle had the same blueprint, Kix had never been in such a mess before. ‘If this is what the Coruscant Guard did, count me out.’Shortly after Kix's arrival to Coruscant, he finds himself admis wildfires and conspiracy, with more questions than answers. With discoveries that only lead to more loose ends, Kix isn't sure who to trust as he begins to realize a bigger threat at play.

Bacara's mandatory enforced leave takes him to Coruscant, where, desperate to outrun some ghosts, he pesters Fox into finding him something to do. Chasing Fox's own ghost wasn't exactly what he expected.
Ending up on the lowest levels of Coruscant with an increasingly erratic Fox was somehow even less expected.
The only way out now is up.
