It could be a private marriage, like happening earlier in the story that others like hayden and maybe the hollanders dont know yet. they get engaged and ilya thinks of getting a office marriage but shane says theyll find something better but still private.
so shane decided to rent out the 14th floor alone and make the officiant wait in 1410 so the person could officiate the marriage and leave. and then hollanov can have all the feels and some tear jerking scene or they can dirty the bed. its up to you
or or it could be a public marriage, or atleast similar to TLG where their loved ones are there, they rent out the entire hotel, then play hide and seek in all the rooms xD... but yeah ultimately the marriage happens in 1410 or they have it in a hall to make sure the room is free so they can spend the night there.

Summary
Maybe it’s an article that comes out or it’s just a popular thing on social media where people compare Ilya Rozanov and Dallas Kent. It’s all about how they are both assholes. Maybe it escalates to people thinking Ilya is racist, homophobic, etc and that’s when players from other teams speak up defending him. It doesn’t really matter how it starts, what’s important is that it ends up with Ilya being defended by other players because he’s an asshole but not that kind of asshole.
It can be pre relationship reveal or after. It can be pre Centaurs or while Ilya is on the Centaurs. The important thing is, is that people from all across the league speak up saying basically “hey, wait a minute. Yeah he’s an asshole but not about anything serious and he never uses slurs.” Scott Hunter speaks up saying that Ilya is a menace but he’s never actually said anything to chirp him except making fun of his age and actual playing, nothing homophobic.
*This next part is kind of a prompt within a prompt because I could see it being a good fic on its own.*
Maybe it’s JJ or Carter Vaughn or another player that is something other than white that speaks up about Ilya reaching out to apologize to them. Ilya mainly learned English in a hockey locker room and so chances are, he probably learned multiple slurs without knowing their actual meaning or how bad they are. So maybe Ilya said a racial slur to one of them and it isn’t even a chirp (or maybe it’s said in a chirp) but suddenly the player is dropping gloves and Ilya has no idea why. So basically, after the game Ilya googles the words to try and figure out he had that reaction and as soon as he finds out, immediately messages them to apologize and say that he’ll never use it again. And he doesn’t say it again because he likes to be a menace but he doesn’t like to be a monster. He also makes sure to look up the words he hears people call each other to make sure he doesn’t make the same mistake again.So basically, whoever it was that he had that situation with tells the story on social media, maybe even includes screenshots from the conversation. Maybe they even mention that Dallas Kent and many others have called him the same thing and worse but Ilya is the only one to apologize.
With more and more players speaking up, people start realizing that Ilya is actually a really good guy. The content of his usual chirps that end in fights get out and it’s just stupid stuff like making fun of their hockey skills, calling them old, and really weird insults like saying they look like a piece of cauliflower. That’s also when it gets out that he saves his truly mean chirps for people he hates like Dallas Kent which is when he says some weirdly personal and actually mean things.
Shane jumps in on this whole situation too. A reporter asks him a question about it due to their whole rivalry (maybe they try to make Ilya seem racist and that’s why the rivalry is as heated as it is) and Shane is just like “what?? Rozanov has never said anything about my race. He’s always going on about how I have a weak backhand, which I don’t, and how he will beat me, which he won’t.” Like Shane is so confused but goes on defending him for a couple of seconds because it’s such a ridiculous thought to him that their rivalry could be about anything other than hockey. He even says something about how they actually get along pretty well off the ice but always end up chirping about hockey stats.
*obviously not everything is set in stone and nothing has to happen exactly how I wrote it. I just hope someone sees this and wants to make a fic*

Summary
Shane, Ilya, and Scott are together and very happy. Scott starts to feel a little off and decides to go get checked out. Wanting to err on the side of caution the doctor advised Scott that they are gonna test of cancer. Scott's whole world grinds to a halt at these words. Scott goes home and tries to be normal with Ilya and Shane but they can tell that something is wrong, something is weighing on their man's mind. After a few days of Scott acting off, having nightmares, and even withdrawing from them a little, Shane wants to be subtle but Ilya's like fuck that and confronts Scott head on. Shane and Ilya are stunned when Scott shatters and finally reveals what's been going on, that he's waiting on test results that could be a potential death sentence. Ilya and Shane both take all care of Scott, but are now just as terrified. At least they can be terrified together as they wait for Scott's results.

After Shane is treated like shit by his team after being outed, Ilya and Scott both catch wind of this and independently decide to go FULL SCORCHED EARTH against the Metros. Scott and the Admirals play against the Metros first and the Metros are blindsided by just how furious Scott Hunter is as he and his team leave the Metros all batter. Scott even blatantly glares at the Metro's awful captain after the match. Shane is stunned but grateful. That's nothing compared to when the Metros face the Ottowa Centaurs, more specifically Ilya Rozanov who has gone into full Russian Murder Mode. The Metros are absolutely slaughtered during the game, and Shane finds himself in awe of his man. It makes Shane's decision to transfer all the more easier. Without Shane on the team, the Metros think they are in the clear, only to realize Shane was the one thing allowing them some mercy. With him gone, Scott and Ilya are both even more out for blood.

During Ep.2 where Shane and Ilya are in the bathroom during the awards ceremony, they are both caught off guard and terrified when someone almost comes in only for a familiar voice to pipe up and keep the person from entering. Shane and Ilya are both stunned when they recognize it as none other than Scott Hunter, who runs interference and literally saves them from being outed mid-kiss. Scott doesn't even come inside and just tells them both through the door to be more discreet next time before he leaves. They shuffle out when its safe and go back to the awards, but later when they meet up in Ilya's penthouse, on top of being together like in canon, they both now can't stop thinking about Scott. As the season progresses and there are more instances where Scott watches out for them both, Shane and Ilya's desire for the captain of the Admirals burns steadily until it is an all consuming flame they can no longer deny, and mean to consume an unsuspecting Scott in, who is still deeply heartbroken over Kip leaving him.

Scott kills the beast, looks over a stunned Ilya and Shane to make sure they're okay before he disappears into the woods as swiftly as he appeared. Ilya and Shane are smitten and feel this insatiable pull towards Scott and mean to find him. Luckily Shane is a talented tracker, so they are able to find Scott in his lonely den. Scott is stunned to have visitors, and even more flabbergasted when they refuse to leave him. When they all shift into human form for the first time it is love at first sight all over again. Ilya and Shane go about properly and hilariously courting Scott without Scott even realizing it. They figure things out eventually. All three of them finally get to feel truly complete with each other.

The Hollander pack leg by David and the Hunter pack led by Scott have always been wary of each other, they don't interact and there have been a couple of nasty fights in the past. One day Omega Shane is taking a run through the woods when he stumbles across an injured alpha who barely escaped from human hunters who though he was some regular wolf. Without hesitation, Shane urges the alpha to his feet and escorts him back to his part of the woods, which Shane realizes is Hunter territory. Facing a possible death sentence, Shane doesn't turn back and gets the young alpha, named Ilya, back to the Hunters. Shane finds himself surrounded by the Hunter wolves with Alpha Scott and his mate Kip towering over him after Ilya is rushed away to get treated. Shane thinks he's done for, but instead finds himself receive gentle affection from Scott and Kip before the rest of the wolves literally pile onto him playfully. Shane stays by a recovering Ilya's side for a couple of days before Scott and Kip personally escort Shane back to his pack and when his parents demand to know what the hell is going on, they are stunned and then super proud when they learn of what Shane did. Shane is the catalyst for the two packs to let down their walls and communicate freely, forming alliances and friendships, and in the case of Shane and Ilya, a courtship where everyone can see that they are meant to be except for Shane and Ilya themselves.
