Hi Emma! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I really want the reader to be in Rey's shoes / feeling what she's feeling. I think one of the best ways to do that is to convey emotion through physical descriptors as these are cues that we can recognize from our own experiences. I'm so glad it came across here.
