Comment on Welcome to Miami

  1. Holy shit this is so well written. I LOVE your attention to detail and how poetic and in depth everything is!!

"movies made it seem like choking someone to death was no big deal, that a healthy person could be killed by a twenty-second-squeeze around the throat, but it took time. You had to hold firm as they clawed and squirmed and slapped and hit and screamed and cried and tried anything in their power to live, to breathe"
^^ I literally had to take a moment and punch the air and reread this over and over because you're SO CORRECT. This annoys the hell out of me when it goes unnoticed in films/tv/writing because it just DOESN'T happen and it's brutally impressive if someone can do it! (I swear I haven't strangled someone btw! I'm medical. I swear..)

This has been SO much fun to read though!! You captured the both of them so well! I love as well how David is mortified but so obviously not squeamish because of his job. It just makes such PERFECT sense! I'd love to see the two of them bonding over their death-related jobs—two very different sides of the same coin. I can't wait to see how this goes!!

    1. GLAD THE CHOKING THING MADE YOU HAPPY. its half the reason i wrote it, taking the audience aside to express my gripes. reminds me of Tv Show CPR where theyre bending their elbows. i have like 40% knowledge on both subjects which is just enough to get mad about
glad you're having fun cause i am too :]
