    Thank you! Gil and Inanna were, despite the canon story's shortcomings, my favorite parts of the chapter, so they were the real reason I wanted to do this particular AU -- that, and writing a story about how they might get over their differences and become a ship, to demonstrate a point to a friend, ha!

    To be perfectly honest with you, pivoting from Artoria to Proto-Arthur started as a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I hadn't considered the possibilities that arose from integrating both timelines into something between. You've got me thinking on it now, though. I will probably expand on it more in further installments, but after thinking on it for a bit, I can broadly say my intent is for a Fuyuki Grail War system with five wars (so far) like FSN, but the cast of the Fourth War would hew more closely to Fragments of Sky Silver, with some exceptions, such as Kirei and Kiritsugu's involvement. Meanwhile, the Fifth War would integrate cast members from Prototype as well as Stay Night. This would also be, as intimated in this story, a timeline in which Kirei does not play the role of antagonist.
