    Ahaha, you see this is what I get for assuming things. ^^; Not to be too spoilery, but it only becomes linear at the very end; there’s enough non-linear chapters that I think you could make something worthwhile even without having read the whole thing. And as for humour... you could always try your hand at writing gallows humour. That or, exaggerated action sounds/sequences never fail.
