This story is simply fun. I love the way you've portrayed Damien's interactions with his brothers. Also: "I’m pretty sure nothing on that tablet is a good example of safe" is hysterical! On a more objective view, this version of Tim Drake is ... heartbreaking, really. I can see it, now that you've described him. I really believe that this is exactly the path Tim would have chosen, and I agree that his smiles, let alone *grins*, would be extremely rare treasures.
As goofy as this fic is, yeah, Tim Drake is full of background angst. I would love to see a world where he was the Robin who died just to be able to compare him and Jason. I think Tim would have less anger about getting replaced, but weirdly more about the lack of action on his murderer. He's shown flashes of the coldblooded strategic mastermind, but throw him in the pit and some of his morals simmer away? He could be for real scary and I'm all about it.
One of my favorite kinds of protagonist is the one who is a good guy, but were they to instead be a bad guy, they would be TERRIFYING. Tim would absolutely be that.
