      "What do you mean you're getting married?" Dick asks. He's yanking on his tie like it's trying to choke him. "I thought you were already married."

      "They're doing paperwork to make it official," Jason answers.

      "Which means you've all decided to follow us to the courthouse to watch us file paperwork," Damian says. "Something that Jon and I have repeatedly told you was unnecessary. The only reason you're here is because Brown is incapable of keeping a secret."

      "You wrote the date on your calendar and then invited me into your kitchen. You totally wanted me to notice." Stephanie rolls her eyes. "I still can't believe you didn't just have a real wedding."

      "If we have a big wedding, that's asking for disaster," Damian asks. "Small, quiet and quick vastly improves the chances this will happen."

      "And I thought I was a pessimist," Jason says. "There's no way you can know that."

      "As much as I hate it when Damian's right." Stephanie taps her fingers against the side of her wheelchair. She's wearing purple nail polish to match her purple dress. "That's a pretty good point. There's no way he could invite Tim to a public wedding and if we don't invite Tim, he's going to blow up the wedding."

      "We literally didn't invite any of you," Damian protests.

      "Yeah," Jason agrees. "But there's no way you do this without us."
