You are not wrong. This fic was in progress a long time. It's always been really hard for me to tie up a story that doesn't have a real bad guy and with RL about to get for real crazy, this would have probably never been finished if I didn't tie things up this weekend. I'm fairly happy with the resolution given the circumstances, but I can see how it might wind up feeling a little flat. And as for Dick... he's not a ball of sunshine because his family just got murdered? That part was at least intentional. :)
