Yes, Gilgamesh is a very complicated character. Even I’m still struggling with him, after all the research I’ve done on him. There are so many sides of him and his behaviour is heavily influenced by his mood. And even with his mood being bad, his behaviour depends on other elements too like we see in Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night.
While in Fate/Extra CCC, Fate Extella, Fate/Extella Link and Fate/Strange Fake he is in a much better mood and even there his actions slightly differ all because of the people he interacts with.
