I'm really pleased to hear about the Archive hosting meta, and once there's a content policy I am going to post ALL THE THINGS. (Well, some of the things. I have a few old essays that I think are at least as worthy of preservation as my early fanfic.)
However, I would really like to see new top-level categories. Sorting the podfic, vids and art from the fanfic can be challenging enough without throwing a pile of meta on the top.
Glad to hear you're pleased with this step. Having non-fiction posts is something that will affect searching on the AO3, and our next challenge will be finding ways to address those problems. The committees who will have to put this into place are already beginning to discuss what will be needed, though a technical solution is likely to take much longer than the policy parts.
