Comment on OTW Board response to concerns about the meta decision

    I think people before me have all raised some excellent points.

    But the fact that this Ao3 decision is about "not punishing" people who have already posted meta does bring up another concern for me. Since at this point, Ao3 has no consensus on exactly how it is going to define meta, but the board has been clear about the fact that proper implementation of meta will include guidelines on what would and would not be allowed, then what will happen to all the works posted before the implementation of those guidelines, and which are then found to be in violation of those guidelines?
