      Yeah, I was never trying to be TOO subtle with it, it was just super amusing writing Kat failing to see the forest for the trees.

      Six's name came about as something of an accident. She began life, like most of my OCs and player-defined characters, as a modified port of a side character from one of my original works. The character she was copied from had a name unsuitable for a science fiction setting, so I used "Sierra" as a placeholder name. Then a few chapters in, I realized that 1) I'd never seen someone write a spartan OC with a unique name dynamic like that and 2) it was approaching too late to change, so I just rolled with it. I feel like it fits her aesthetic of looking and acting like a "stock spartan" in every way (quiet, expressionless, nameless, green armor).

        basically its as close as you can get to actually just naming a spartan "Spartan". im a fan
