Comment on Everly and the Apocalypse

    I think it's rude that my notifications are automatically sorted into a folder and my phone doesn't make an annoying sound when you upload a chapter but I managed to find it on my own. It's a conspiracy to keep me focused on work. HA! Failed so hard.

    Here I was, still reveling in the fact that there's more, that Eric has already switched into overly protective ninja mode when you managed to throw me into another dimension with "Once he's done fixing his hair". The world is ending, zombies are shuffling around trying to eat them and the world's most aggravating romantic rival just got killed and this dude is fixing his hair. Priorities. It's those little things, funny bits casually thrown in that (in this case almost literally) kill me. I needed an entire paragraph to say that, apologies to your eyes.

    Maybe there's something wrong with my head but every time they get to know each other and Eric is so very subtle about getting information out of her and gets irritated when Everly asks questions in return makes my little heart very happy.

    I think I forgot to list Carole and her chickens among my favorite characters last time and would like to issue a formal apology.

    And if Jason and Not-Jason turn out to be zombies or zombie food I will be upset. I love how they enjoy both aggravating Eric and encouraging Everly in her endeavours after they instantly adopt her every time.

    Every time irritated Eric appears I get the same feeling most people have when watching adorable kitten videos. If it's Eric irrationally irritated by something Everly says, does or wears it's puppies, kittens and capybaras all at once. And the jacket collar. One could write a three page essay on the jacket collar alone.

    This is the zombie apocalypse AU I didn't even know I needed in my life up until a few days ago and while I'm sorry about the word count of this I will still do my best to leave reviews for every chapter provided I don't forget about the existence of this fandom due to persistent writer's block and resulting amnesia. Funny how I struggle to write a whole paragraph for a story but have no problem leaving an obscenely long wall of ramble here 🙊

      Ahhh, you are amazing for writing all this! I loved every single word. I think you nailed my favorite moments --him fixing his hair, despite nearly dying minutes prior, Eric quizzing her on everything but acting like she's peeling his skin off for asking his age, the way he fixes her jacket and already has some sort of claim on her, and the fact that Carole Baskins can willingly and believably exist in any story.

      I will fully admit Jason shows up in the next few chapters. Rylan doesn't make his appearance for a bit, but when he's done, you know he'll be all over Eric having an apocalypse partner.

      Thank you so so much for your words! I feel like I should pay you to review each chapter. It was so fun to read. And oh my gosh, I know. Writer's block is the worst. Thank you for reading along and allowing me to try out this zombie world!
