Comment on The Hutt, the Jedi, and the Power Of Love

  1. Four years!!! Well. At least Han will be closer in age to Luke and Leia now. Six years instead of ten. ( I am the ten year age difference camp).

    1. That was very much an ulterior motive- I'm not a big fan of huge age differences (I can look past it if I really like the ship (like Han and Leia) but I don't like to write it). I'm glad you like- stay tuned for more!

      1. I don't mind the ten year age difference, but a lot of fanfic writers put it even higher, which really isn't what the original books said. Luke and Leia were supposed to be 19, and Han was supposed to be 29 in the first movie. Ten years is enough! Thanks for writing!!!

      2. Half plus six (the rule I use in my fanfic, shameless plug), says that 33 year old Han and 23 year old Leia in RotJ are just barely acceptable. (Plus Han skips a year in carbonite, so they’re another year closer) Legends-darily, they don’t get married for another four years, which puts it well out of the squick range.

If they were kissing in ANH, *that* would be creepy.

        1. Oohhh that's a pretty good rule. Fun story- I didn't realize Han was *ten* years older than Luke and Leia until I was fifteen (I thought it was just a few years- he was 22/23). But then again, I watched ANH for the first time when I was four and when you're four all adults look the same- way way older than you!
