oh my god, this is completely wonderful - I love the way the canon ending echoes into this, Grantaire's decisions and attempt at sacrifice for Enjolras, and Enjolras's "trying to being a person" and actually doing a pretty excellent job of it, all things considered, and their mutual aching for each other, all of it is perfect! And fuck, their first kiss was phenomenal, nnnngh. I can't believe this doesn't have more comments, what an amazing fic!
