I remember reading this story over 20 years ago now (wow! How did *that* happen?) and I wanted to let you know that I am a huge fan of it. The words you’ve used, expressions and emotions… it’s just all so vivid. Hauntingly, achingly beautiful. It’s stuck with me all this time, and I’m glad I got to red it again.
