This is a great opinion!! I've seen so many cool fics with that idea, and I positively adore it. The spells, in canon, are definitely more like you're describing. The whole Wingardium Levisousa one could be used for evil or good, same with Lumos and all spells.
I wanted to play around with different ideas, and needed that last straw for Harry. So, ta-da! I'm glad you're here reading my fic, thanks for your support :)
